one question about the PG rebate. do they calculate the total amout before or after coupons ?
My Walgreens had these. But the cashier nor the manager would adjust the coupon down 🙁 she said she can only adjust coupons down a couple of cents like if the product is .99 and the q is for $1.00. Is this true?
No. Your store is making up it’s own rules and not following the coupon policy.
“The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied.”
In the OFFICIAL WALGREENS COUPON POLICY (available on the Walgreens.com website and for all employees to read on StoreNet) there is no mention of a limit on how much the coupon can be adjusted. The example that they show in the policy is a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item, but there is no limit, it’s just an example to show a coupon being adjusted down.
The fact that we need a seperate scenario for stores that won’t follow the Walgreens coupon policy is unbelievable. **Not that I don’t appreciate it Christie 😉 I’m just getting more and more fed up with stores making up their own rules and treating couponers like thieves. Come on WAGs employees – read and follow the policy! I know there are some wonderful cashiers out there, but even 25% of cashiers that refuse sales because of issues like this that would be easily resolved with proper training is way way WAY too high! Christie should NOT have to come up with a seperate scenario for stores that won’t follow the coupon policy.
@ Jen I so agree with you, I had a horrible time with my coupons at Target almost a week ago. I have 3 computers and manufacturers allow you to print off 2 per computer so I had 6 coupons. I didn’t know how to read the barcodes, but the barcode in the lower left of the coupon is the manufacturer ID so all those barcodes on each coupon were the same, but the barcode in the upper right corner is what gets the store paid, all those numbers were different. These were coupons for Aquafresh extreme and there was no size limit, so I was going to purchase 6 trial size, when I got in line an the cashier rang them up and gave me my total, I handed her my coupons and they would not ring up. Another employee came over, completely ignorant of how to read internet coupons as was I at the time and said these are photocopies, I was seething mad. Then they proceeded to say because I what I wanted to purchase was .97 cents and and my coupons were for $ 1.00 they could not be adjusted down, but when you check the Target website, it is their policy to adjust down coupons. Ignorance annoys me to the fullest, the thing that enraged me the most was being accused of photocopying my coupons. I filed a complaint with their corporate office, I don’t take well to people insulting my integrity.

We go thru almost 2 bars a week in my house so now I am stocked for the next few months. I was down to my last bar and was thinking I would have to pay full price. Thanks WILD FOR WAGS!!!
Did this deal at a Walgreens in Southern California. I was afraid that the store wouldn’t adjust the coupon down so I prepared for this! I got two body washes and two packs of the soap. I also got one box of Cookie Crisp cereal (General Mills/on sale) to cover any overage. Used five coupons and paid only 63 cents after tax. THANKS Wild For Wags, this was a smoking hot deal!!!!!!!!!
I bought 4 of the olay on clearance for 2.29 and used 4 coupons with no problems and no beeps, just make sure you buy something else to cover the overage.

I went for the smoothest option, I had only 2 coupons so I did 2 transactions, bought 1 deal on each and paid $0.29, for each body wash, got a super deal and problem solved!
I got 4 at my store…only had two coupons left and store wouldnt adjust down so I figured I might as well just get 4 for around 75c each…I highly prefer olay so this deal worked for me…I also found the crayola on clearance…color wonder for $1.79 down from $11.99 and pipsqueaks 16ct $1.49 down from $5.99…and walgreens brand pull UPS for $2.24!! They were boys and i have 2 girls buy they’ll have to deal…anyone know if they are made differently or just boyish design? Wondering if they’d work for the 18m old or only the 4 yr old who wears them at night just in case (so unlikely to be put to full use lol)
My store did not have them on clearance and were all still regular price (might check again tomorrow). But as for the adjusting down – I’ve had issues with it , but luckily they have a copy of the coupon policy so the manager has gone over it and now adjusts accordingly and has been informing the cashiers of this.
Have them price checked. Mine weren’t marked but came up on clearance.
I just got the deal. I had 6 coupons, so I got 6 bars and 2 lotions and paid $2.95 including tax so I was happy!
Michelle, as far as the pullups go…… the boys are usually thicker in the front and the girls in the middle. but unless your girls are heavy bed wetters, they should be fine.

I did this deal this morning at 6:30 a.m. It was still on clearance and still buy one get one 50% off. Bought 5 body washes. They had lots of bar soaps left and some lotions!

i did a return because i couldnt use the neosporin trial stuff i used coupons ,i ended up getting each box for 2.50 each , this is weeks later they only gave me 2.50 back they took off my coupon i said i dont think u can do that u turned the coupons in and will get refunded the manager said they could ?

Just did this deal. I got 6 body wash $2.39 for 3 & $1.19 for 3, also 2 Ghiradelli bars on clearance for $1.64 ea. with a $1.00 off coupon. Total came to $3.11. So I basically paid $2.28 for the candy and $0.83 tax. Sweeeeet!! Thanks Wild for Wags for all the great info. We are really lucky, our Walgreens cashiers are really great, and the Managers always try to work with you, so I really appreciate the fact that they want your business and want you to keep shopping with them.
I lucked out this weekend! I saw somewhere that some of the Walgreens had the Clairol Nice ‘n Easy Color Blend Foam marked down to $2.74 on clearance. I had the $3.00 off coupon and I usually never buy this because I can never get it free or very cheap compared to other brands. I went the other night to my Walgreens to pick up the M&MS candy deal and I checked the clearance and they had 13 boxes marked down to the $2.74 ! The clerk saw me getting a few ( I never clear the shelves ) and told me to take them all she wanted them out of there. !So I got them all FREE (Paid the tax of course) And the best part is they are all close to or my color..what a score for me woo hoo! I love my Walgreens
