But doesn’t the price of the 50% off item need to be more than the $3.00 coupon per the new coupon policy?

With the total of both items being over what it is before the coupon, it should be fine. If you had $8 in coupons it would be a problem.

This is where it is confusing since the coupon policy states one manufacturers coupon per item. The second coupon should only be applied to the second item – not to both. Therefore I still think the second item needs to be $3.00 or more.

I think the deal will work as written (at least at my store); however, if you feel uncomfortable you can use the lower value $1/1 insert coupon on your second product or you can check Christie’s other site wild for cvs and check out the deal you can do there this week or next week.

I’m not sure if the post will work or not, but it’s not whether the deal will work at the registers, it’s whether it’s the right thing to do in following the policy 🙂

I tend to agree with Renee, I’m thinking this new policy is going to be a problem. Just like the Purex deal…….ALL of the stores here would not accept the bonus points coupon even though the one we paid for was full price. They said it was part of a sale, even though it was full price. 🙁

If you have concerns you can just buy (2) L’Oreal skin products that are reg. $6. So $6 + $3 – (2) $3 coupons. You’ll get back 450 pts so it’s like paying $1.27 each for a $6 item. Problem solved. 🙂

I bought the face wash today (couldn’t wait until 6/29). The wash was $6.49, so there were no issues at the register. Even though I paid a little more than the best deal, $2 per bottle after tax is still really good.
