Just printed 6 copies (3 computers) excited about next week’s FREE body washes ! I’m still trying to figure out how best to use my $27 worth of RRs from this current Dove men deodorant deal… a bit stressful.

Thanks for being greedy! I know its because of people like you that I have not been able to purchase ONE bottle of any body wash that is on sale with coupon.

As for the other lady wondering “what to do because I have so much but can’t pass on the deal”….seriously?!? Again, the greed. Pass on it and let someone else get the deal for a change.

I haven’t been able to get a single good deal on bodywash due to the greed that people like you exhibit!!

Some good news to this (though it’s not applicable for RR deals) is that Walmart is price matching…pretty much everyone at this point.

So far I’ve brought in Walgreens ads as well as Publix ads b/c greedy shelf-clearer’s have gone in 10 seconds after open and gutted the shelves.

Fortunately, Walmart matches their prices so I don’t feel like I have to get up at 5 am to try and beat people to some soap.

I believe it’s a nation-wide policy, but check to be sure…but if so, that should help out with at least getting deals where coupons allow you to get freebies (or cheapies).

I totaly agree. I have yet to get any body wash because the shelves have been cleared every time i go.

You’re angry because you didn’t catch the deal quicker than me or a lot of us ?? You only have yourself to blame. Couponing is a GAME… if you can’t handle it (which obviously you can’t) stop playing ! Moaning about it won’t make your life better either.

I started couponing 2 weeks ago and it’s people like you who give this blog and couponing a bad rep. Thanks for the comment as you’re obviously threatened by the newer, younger generation of couponers like myself 😉

Do you even realize how ridiculous you sound? You obviously are “younger” because what you wrote here just sounds silly!! GROW UP!

There’s more to life than coupons.

Sandy May 18, 2011 at 12:51 am

I agree there is much more to life than couponing. Which is why I don’t have the time to do nine different transactions for deodorant! Which I guess is what you had to do for all those register rewards! And I guess will be doing again this week for the bodywash.

I haven’t been couponing for long either, which is how I know that it is possible to start a stockpile using only the one computer we have (for two coupon prints) and my one sunday paper. I almost never even use both coupons in one trip or together at one store. Regardless, I have a great start and never am one of those “new couponers” that the veterans dread!

A stockpile isn’t going to happen overnight. It will take some time. There is no reason to take every deodorant or bodywash on a shelf to get one going. There are much more productive ways to spend time than at a register at Walgreens!

“Couponing is a GAME… if you can’t handle it (which obviously you can’t) stop playing ! Moaning about it won’t make your life better either.”

I have read some sophomoric things online over the years but this one truly takes the cake. Couponing is not a “game”, though immature minds would think that way, and any level of “competition” that exists in the arena is between the manufacturer and the consumer, NOT between one consumer and another.

Only a self-centered horses ass would openly ridicule a person that is trying to make it on a tight budget (i.e. using coupons to survive) while bragging about what they’re amassing, but it’s OK – karma is a beautiful equalizer and when the pendulum swings back your way, you’ll be the one alone wondering why no one has your back. When that day arrives, as you can be assured that it will, remember your thoughts as you typed your above response.

Think on this – if this were truly a competition between consumers, why would Christie EVER create this site in the first place? Couponing is about saving money and doing what we can as a community for ourselves AS WELL AS each other (hence her, “Hi, I’m Christie and I love helping people…”). But with the attitude felt in your response, I’m not sure if you’ll be able to comprehend that.

@Sandy, I totally agree with you. I very seldom am able to get a deal on anything because of greedy people taking waaay more than they need. The thing that irritates me the most is when they say “I took 50+ bottles to donate to charity” I think alot of people just use this as a way to jusify their greed and have no intention of donating. And, if they truly want to donate they could start by leaving a few products on the shelf for others to get a deal on, and could consider this their “donation.”

AMEN to finally getting FREE body wash for women! 🙂

Does anyone have this dilemma, I hate to pass up a moneymaker but I really just don’t need any more body wash. What do you all do when there’s a moneymaker or a super good deal but you just don’t need it?

Reply

Lisa May 17, 2011 at 12:38 pm

Get it anyway and give it away.

Reply

Emily May 17, 2011 at 12:39 pm

I make slightly more than what you need to go on EBT or other assistance. For God’s sake, there are hundreds or thousands more of us out there. Rather than donating it, just leave it on the SHELF! Don’t shelf clear to donate it! Leave it so the 60 dollars that my family has to spend on groceries can stretch a little farther!

Reply

Amanda May 17, 2011 at 12:53 pm

You can buy an item to donate without clearing the shelves.

Reply

Sandy May 17, 2011 at 3:05 pm

TOTALLY agree with you! Stop purchasing what you don’t need. It’s great you want to donate, but there are people who cannot get ONE of anything that’s a great deal b/c all of you are purchasing SIX so you can donate!

Reply

Amanda H. May 17, 2011 at 3:54 pm

I’ve never bought six of any item whether I need it or not! If I don’t need it, I’ll buy ONE and donate it to someone who does! It’s ridiculous that couponers who DO abide by the rules and DON’T clear the shelves are given bad names! Taking ONE of an item that you DON’T need ISN’T clearing the shelves! Also, the real issue is that the majority of the Walgreens stores aren’t properly stocked before a good sale hits! Complain to corporate instead of blaming other couponers!!!!!!!!

@Emily AMEN!!

Reply

Mary May 17, 2011 at 7:48 pm

There are some that do need it. If you don’t need it, leave it on the shelf for someone that does. I am tired of empty shelves also.

Reply

Amanda May 18, 2011 at 5:12 pm

OR buy it and donate it to someone who does!

Reply

Amanda May 17, 2011 at 12:28 pm

Megan–donate it to your local shelter. That is what I do when I have a lot of an item stocked up and just don’t need it.

Jennifer May 17, 2011 at 12:30 pm

I’ve never printed a coupon for Tone before..but when I tried to print this one, it said I’ve already printed the number of times allowed.

I’m pretty stocked up on body wash as well, but will definetlly get this deal and donate it 🙂

Reply

Angela May 17, 2011 at 12:42 pm

I tried to print it on two different computers and it says that I’ve already printed it so it must have reached it’s print limit really quickly.

Reply

lisa May 17, 2011 at 12:44 pm

Told me I had printed the allowed amount and I havent. What the heck?

Reply

pam May 17, 2011 at 10:14 pm

the reason it says that you printed to many times is because the coupon is gone

Reply

Denise May 17, 2011 at 12:47 pm

I had the same problem Lisa. It won’t let me print it because I have printed it already but in reality, I haven’t. I went to Coupons.com but don’t see the coupon there either. Maybe it will reset before the sale.

Jennifer May 17, 2011 at 12:48 pm

Wow to all the mean comments, me saying that I don’t need anymore body wash is me saying I have 4 bottles. Literally, 4 bottles, and literally, from 2 different stores. So think before you’re rude, please.
