It’s been a while since I posted a shop, so I thought I’d share one of the Walgreens Booster Points transaction I did on Sunday. In this scenario I purchased $32.70 in merchandise (after the Walgreeens Viva coupon). I spent $22.95 after coupons (before any RR used to pay). I got back $6.32 in points, $13 in Register Rewards and $2.40 cash back from Ibotta. That made my final amount $1.23 or about 7¢ per item. 😉 It could have all been free but I wanted the 90% off Mini Monster Costume for $1.69 – it was just so cute, so I splurged!

Here’s my shopping trip from earlier today. I’ve had a bit of a cold so I finally was able to make it back to Walgreens. I am always one to take advantage of cheap, free or money making razors – so I was pretty excited about the Bic deal going on this week. I also grabbed the super cheap Extra Gum, the super cheap Crest for kids and a nice deal on Prego – which I needed anyway.
My total was $32.22 after Walgreens coupons but before manufacturer’s coupons so I could get the $5 in Jingle Cash for next week. In this scenario my total was $18.12 (before the $18 in RR I used to pay) and I got back $14 in Register Rewards and points – so $4.12 for everything + got back $5 in Jingle Cash to spend next week! So that’s like 29¢ per item NOT including the Jingle Cash.
Note: Like I mentioned I actually used (4) Register Rewards totaling $18 to pay for this transaction – so my out of pocket cost was really 12¢ but I’m not including that in the breakdown below. The Bic Comfort Twin razors make for GREAT fillers! 😉

This is what I bought on Sunday. I started with $37 in Walgreens Register Rewards. Ended up getting $127.35 in products (before any manufacturer coupons) and paid $16.85 out of pocket. PLUS, I ended up with $37.30 in Balance Reward Points, $1 RR, 50¢ cash back from Checkout51 and will receive a 50¢ Saving Star Deposit. Subtract that from my out of pocket costs and add in the $37 in Register Rewards that I started with it, and that makes it $14.55 for $127.35 or about 89% off, or 35¢ per item (not including the folders).
I found a few bonus items: Scrubbing Bubbles were 10% bigger, 120 ct Ziploc Sandwich bags, and the St. Ives was packaged with a free travel size body wash. This is what I bought on Sunday. I started with $28 in Walgreens Register Rewards. Ended up getting $76.69 in products (before any manufacturer coupons) and paid $10.69 out of pocket. PLUS, I ended up with $22.05 in Balance Reward Points, $3 in Register Rewards. Subtract that from my out of pocket costs and add in the $28 in Register Rewards that I started with it, and that makes it $13.64 for $76.69 of product or about 82% off, or 59¢ per item (not including the folder, scissors and the Schweppes).
I did Transaction #1 & #2 at one store, and went to another store for #3. The first store did not have the School section set up and I couldn’t find some of those in-ad coupon school supplies for fillers, but found Penway folders on clearance for 10¢.

I had a great few days picking up items at Walgreens! I thought I’d share what I purchased so far this week. In total after coupons, cash back, etc. all of this cost me $5.35. I spent $8.35 out of pocket + $10 in Points for a total of $18.35 but I ended up with $3 RR, $5 in Points & $5 in Cash Back. So that made it $5.35 for everything, which is less than the regular price of (1) Purex bottle – and I got 6! 🙂
A few notes… I was fortunate to find a very nice $1 off Vitamin Water Can tearpad at my Walgreens. I was shocked the tearpad was full, but I guess not everyone uses coupons. Also I purchased the Green flavor, I have heard from some of you that the Pink does not print the Register Reward, so be sure to get the Green or Orange.
Also, the Glade Free Scented Oil Refill had to be manually removed by the manager. For whatever reason it’s not coded properly but it’s in the ad and it was no big deal.

Reader Frugal B. sent me a breakdown of her Walgreens shop for Sunday and it was awesome so I wanted to share it with all of you! She started with $24 in Walgreens Register Rewards. She ended up getting about $77 in product (before any manufacturer coupons) and paid $12.71 out of pocket. PLUS, she ended up with $30.20 in Balance Reward Points. Subtract that from her out of pocket costs and add in the $24 in Register Rewards that she started with it, and that makes it $6.51 for $77 of product or about 92% off.
She didn’t have the $2/1 Mitchum coupon, but she did find it on clearance at her store for only $1.99 and it printed the register reward. Also, her store rang up the Hefty Sandwich bags at $2.99 B1G1 Free. She also did not have the $1.25/2 insert coupon for those, so she used the printable! You’ll also notice she had a couple of printable coupons that are no longer available. Great job Frugal B!

Here is my Walgreens shop for the week. I started with $10 in Walgreens Balance Rewards points. I ended up getting about $85 in product (before sales) and paid $8.26 out of pocket. I ended up with $2 in Register Rewards and $2.80 in points and I got a $1 from Checkout51. Subtract that from my out of pocket costs and you get $2.46. Add in the $10 in points I started with it makes it $12.46 for $85 of product or about 85% off.
Considering I got (2) packs of the Viva Paper Towels I’m very pleased! I could have waited for a better deal on the Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom cleaner, but I wanted to test them to see if they were working for a National Catalina offer. They weren’t – but it was still a pretty good deal and I know I’ll use them. I end up testing all kinds of things at Walgreens for the blog, it’s how I’m able to bring you the best deals. 🙂
