Here is the Walgreens weekly ad sneak peek for 8/24. You have to be part of the Walgreens Balance Rewards program to get these deals and prices. Sign up on-line and simply use your phone number in store or even your mobile phone with the Walgreens App.
Remember we have the Beauty & Personal Care offer that will run thru 8/30/14. You’ll get 50 points for every $1 spent on these products: skincare, beauty, oral care, hair care and grooming. Also, there are a couple of items in this week’s ad that are also part of month long points deals. I’ve indicated those items with a ** and they’ll be included under the Balance Rewards section.
Hey Christie, have you or are you going to address the latest change in Walgreens coupon policy – the fact we can no longer use RR on our total purchase but have to use it on a single item that is priced higher than the RR after coupons have been applied. Thanks 🙂
That’s not the case everywhere it’s a fluke at some locations right now and it’s being resolved. So right now there’s nothing to address. Hopefully they’ll get it resolved quickly.
Hey Jane, this happened at one of the 6 stores in my City. I called the corporate office and they told me this was not the case. The store had some sort of register problem that they had to fix.The lady on the phone was super nice and took my # and said she would contact the store to let them know they had to fix their registers. The Mgr of the store even called me back to say they hadn’t been able to fix it yet, but if I went to the store, they would take my register rewards like they are supposed to even if the register was still not automatically scanning them. If you have an issue with one of your stores. Please call the 800# and also try another store!
Most offers now are points anyway. I wouldn’t be surprised if they get rid of the RR all together. I prefer the points. They don’t expire for two years, you can call and have them added if they don’t get credited and you can redeem for so many different amounts. So, I think any panic is a bit misguided.
My walgreens said that is the new coupon policy and they had a meeting about it and cashiers would no longer be able to push them…so this is not the case ? Guess I need to call corp and see hmm

Then why did they change the wording on the RR?

Sounds like a call to corp is what I need to do as well since my local Walgreens will not take RR if using them for fillers as above.
