This week I bought the proper combination of Revlon make-up and Essie nail polish, used two $5.00 coupons off the Revlon make (B1/G50% off this week) and made sure the value before coupons was over the required $25.00 and no 5000 points was credited.. This is so darn frustrating. The manager was able to use some type of magic to get the points added by some process, but if this stuff keeps happening with all the time it takes to read and figure out these deals, I’m think CVS red macine is the winner. Please everyone report in on mistakes cuz this is frustrating for sure and so time consuming.

Agreed!
I’ve called Corporate, and they’ve been extrememly helpful adding my missing points. The upside of the phone call is you don’t get the stare down from the customers behind you, or the Mgmt. that has to fix it 😉

When I contacted corporate after some points weren’t added to my account, they told me that if I used coupons, even manufacturer coupons, to reduce my total, balance points would not be awarded. This was in two separate emails from two different employees…very disappointing. I am going to try once more to have a manager in store fix it, but if not, I’ll return the product.

I’ve heard that from several customer service people as well, and it seems that a lot of people are having problems. If they really aren’t going to let people use coupons to bring down the total and still give points, they are going to lose a lot of money. There are a lot of deals that I won’t do at Walgreens with the new points system unless I can use coupons to pay less OOP (duh, we’re couponers!). Not a great choice on their part. I don’t really know what to think anymore about this program.

The $10.00 printable for the Crest Whitestrips is a rebate form and not a coupon 🙁

From what I see, Walgreens seems to be getting rid of Register Rewards. I have a bunch that expire 10/14 and I can’t seem to roll them. Guess I’ll have to find something to buy with them and give up on Walgreens since it’s my understanding that you cannot get bonus points if you use them to purchase something else that has earns bonus points. If you also cannot use coupons on the items that earn bonus points, I’m out!

we have been finding on the end caps clearance items like gloves, caps, etc. for 49 cents. i have been using my rr’s for those and as fillers. will be using them as stocking stuffers.
