UPDATE: The balance rewards points are not being generated with the Tide. Hopefully this is something they will fix soon! The in-store signage indicated a $4 RR in lieu of points (as it is stated on the ad); however no points or RR is being generated for the purchase. At my store, they were happy to give me points, but this will vary for you depending on your staff. I suggest you first ask if it’s working, then if it doesn’t are they honoring the ad by issuing the points. That way you don’t have to complete the purchase if they will not give you the points. If you’ve already grabbed the items and did not get the points, be sure to try calling Customer Service. They may add the points to your card.
Here’s my Walgreens shopping scenario for 8/18. In this scenario, you’ll get $39.02 worth of merchandise. After sale prices and manufacturer’s coupons, you’ll pay $6.52 out of pocket. You’ll keep $5 RR + 25¢ (250 points), so it’s like you’re getting everything for $1.27 or 13¢ per item.

The $3 Bic mq from 8/4 SS expired 8/16.
I just tried transaction 2. I used $4 balance rewards already on my card. I did not receive the $4 balance rewards for my purchase. I thought you could use balance rewards as long as there wasn’t a spending threshold in order to earn points. The clerk didn’t seem to know. Is it best to call customer service? Can the transaction be used on the rebate? Walgreens is so confusing. Thank you for your help.
Yes, you absolutely should have received points back as long as it was a Buy scenario and not a Spend amount. I haven’t looked at the ad yet but I would have gone to PHOTO and showed them the ad and my receipt. My local stores would have issued the points right there and then which is what should have been done. At least that’s the way it is done locally. You should not have to call CS.
