Here’s my Walgreens shopping scenario for 4/29. You’ll get $11.82 worth of merchandise. After sale prices, and manufacturer’s coupons, you’ll pay $4.32 out of pocket. You’ll keep $1.08 (1,080 points). So it’s like you’re paying $3.24 for everything or 46¢ per item.

Hi quick question, I notice in transaction 3 you are paying with 2000 points and then earning 3000 back. When did it change that you will still earn points even when paying with points?
I can’t remember exactly, about a year or so ago? As long as the offer is buy X get Y you are good. If it’s spend over X, then you’ll have to spend X after the points you use to pay.
