I was one of the lucky ones who had the 5,000 points WYB $25+ in my Walgreens ad. I took advantage of that coupon to get a GREAT deal at Walgreens this week. My store only had (3) of the Kool-Aid so the store manager gave me the Country Time instead as a substitute but scanned the Kool-Aid to make sure I got my Register Reward. 🙂

I used the coupon for 5,000 pts too but to my surprise I heard something for the first time (and from the manager who was called over because one manufacturer coupon wouldn’t scan): he said that the coupon for 5,000 points had to be scanned LAST, after all Walgreens and manufacturer coupons the total still had to be at least $25 and then he would scan the coupon for 5,000 points. I have never heard that before, it wasn’t written on the coupon, and it’s not in the corporate coupon policy. Luckily for me my total was $37 before coupons, $26 after, so the 5,000 pts coupon could still be used. Originally i had planned to get just $25 worth of items, hand over 5,000 points coupon, then hand over all manufacturer coupons. Was he right or wrong?
He was wrong. It has been my recent experience that each manager has a different view on what the policy is / what they believe to be fair. I try to stick to the same store where the managers know I know the coupon policy like the back of my hand and if I am using a coupon I know what I’m doing. I also do not take advantage of them and they know that. The downside is that this particular store rarely has the really great sale items in stock. That is when I have to go to other stores where managers like to change the policy. Especially if you are getting something for free !
Does anyone know where you can print off the 50 cents off coupon for cottonelle?
