They start 7/31 – like the August book. Generally Walgreens starts it’s monthly promotions on the last Sunday of the previous month for the following month. I know it sounds a little odd but that’s how they do it. 🙂

I thought that if you buy two products from the same company (Oral-B) that the catalina would only give you one RR? Or is it if it were the exact same thing? Or am I just confused? I was at Walgreens on Thursday, and did one of the toothbrush deals and a crest toothpaste deal that is very similar to the toothbrushes… it only printed out one RR… They did fix it for me though so its okay… just want to understand for future… Thanks for your help.. These are (2) different deals so that shouldn’t be a problem. Since one is for $3 and one is for $2.
The only issue MIGHT be if the $2/1 P&G Oral-B is coded like the $2 RR that you’ll get from buying Oral-B.
It doesn’t happen often but every once in a while a RR will be coded exactly like a coupon and so when you use the coupon it thinks you are using a RR from buying the same item. Hopefully this won’t happen!

I just did the Oral B Advantage deal since the signs at my Walgreens said it starts on 7/30 and the R&R did not print, I am curious to see the updates tomorrow. Can you return something you bought with a coupon?
@grace the signs always say they start on the Saturday before, because the price will start around 7pm. However, the rr does not print until Sunday. They should not have put up the sign yet.
You could return them and just re-buy them tomorrow and then the RR will print. It will work out even.
But I do not have the coupons, will they give me the cash back to rebuy?
Yes, they will give you the full amount back (they don’t deduct the coupons that you used when giving a refund). Then just use that to re buy them and the RR will print.

These are awesome! I am curious for the rest of you- does anyone else struggle with coupons at Walgreens? It is difficult for me to get to Walgreens on Sundays, so I will sometimes try Monday morning, and all the good deals are cleared by that point (and when I ask the employees they tell me that they are completely out)! So frustrating! Is there a certain stocking day I should watch for? You can get such good deals, but it is almost not worth it when they rarely have what I need in stock! If this isn’t a normal thing for everywhere, I am wondering if I should try to contact the manager or something. It just seems ridiculous that the second day of the deals being active that they are sold out!
All you can do is call the store and ask which day(s) their trucks deliver product, and even then it’s not guaranteed that what you’re looking for will even be on the truck. Each store has a different delivery day.
And each store’s delivery day changes after a holiday. Usually moves another day. So if their warehouse day was Thursday, after Labor Day, lets say, it changes to Friday.

Coupons are always an issue at Walgreens! However I did notice a hiding spot in several of the Walgreens in my area. If you look towards the ceiling by the mirror- there is a real high shelf that has items on it.(It will be on a perimeter wall). Several times I have found out of stock items there. Look for that shelf or ask your favorite employee when the best time to shop is. HTH

I run into the same issue. One of the employees was very helpful and told me when the truck comes in (Wednesday at my store) so I try to go Wednesday night or Thursday. Ask and see what they tell you.

Ginger: I went to Wag’s too after work, the first store that I went too the price was $6.99 and the $5 RR printed just fine, but then I stopped at another one & the Keri lotion rang up at $8.99 and they had big green tags on top of the display to cover the price in there. That store it’s not so coupon friendly so I just asked to voided it. If you can try at another store. 🙂
I saw the Keri RR deal advertised in next weeks ad. It’s not quite as good of a deal as this week, but still not bad. I got mine for free but I think next week will be 99 cents. I’d have to look again to verify for sure. Good luck!
Oh Lawd have mercy – I could not sleep. I was doing too many flips and turns about the Cottonelle tissue. I was scared I was gonna miss the deal and extra crazy that the RR was not gonna print. I hit the streets at 3:30am and used my Wags app to locate (2) 24 hour stores with the closest proximity to me. I did not clear the shelves….lol. 😉 I left some for others. 🙂 We were down to our last roll! I will never let tissue get down in my stockpile again. Yes, the RR are printing for them. Question – RR stated redeemable only at Wags…Can I no longer use them at Jewel Osco?

The Keri lotion rang up $2.24 at my store, used my $2/1 MQ and it still printed out the $5 RR!! Give it a try!
Is this for smaller size? My Walgreens only had 2 Keri, that’s all they had and I grabbed both since I was the first one in the Lotion aisle. The tag said $8.99 but it rang up at $6.99 and I got the 5RR.
i bought the complete contact solution for 8 dollars and used $6 dollars in register rewards on scunci from last week. then i turned around and used the $8 RR the printed from the contact solution for other items immediately after. i forgot the $1/1 complete product coupon and didnt realize until i checked my totals. if i brought my receipt and coupon back in will they refund me the $1? i know publix does, but im new to wags. lol.
No. Wags only allows 1 MQ per item so if you had used your $1 MQ you wouldn’t have been able to use your RR. I’d just buy another solution (if they have more).
FYI at my Walgreens the Head & Shoulders rung up at $5.99 for the first one and $2.01 for the second one. It says, 1 @ $5.99 – 2/$8 on the receipt.
The cashier took off $5.99 for the BOGO coupon as that was the first price when he looked at the receipt.. and I also used the $0.50 H&S coupon from this mornings paper.
So I paid $1.51 and got back $2RR!

I had this same problem too. They only took off $2 for me too. I’m constantly disappointed with the Walgreens deals. The same thing happened with the m&ms too, first rang up 2.99 and the second $2. Whenever i shop here, it always takes forever to find anything because no sale signs are up and the associates are incredibly unhelpful. I’m over this place, i’ll stick to Publix.

I had the same problem. Rang up 5.99 and 2.01, and the cashier said, oh, I can only take off the 2.01. Walgreens is getting snaky and I don’t like it.
I just looked at the ad again and it says
“$5.99 each or 2/$8”
Which makes sense that the first one rings up as $5.99 and the second one as $2.01. Otherwise people would be able to buy 1 for $4.
They are not selling them for $4 each, they are selling them both for $8 without specifying unit price. We all just assumed that they are both $4 ea when you buy 2.
My guess is that the cashiers who took off $2.01 on the BOGO coupon followed the proper procedure and everyone else got lucky.
The receipt and ad also say 2/$8 or $5.99 each. It is just the way walgreen’s registers are set set up is why the weird pricing occurs. No where in the ad does it say buy one at $5.99 get one for $2.01. If it did I wouldn’t complain about the $2.01 being taken off. The RR also says like getting 2 for $6 not buy one get one free with $2 RR.
If you read my post regarding the B1G1 sales and B1G1 free coupons. The cashier today did mention this, I sadly think that we will see a whole lot more of the 2 for 8.00 amount, one at normal price (5.99) this will be there way of cutting our savings more 🙁 This is pretty much B1G1 50% off just a sneaky way of doing it.
My Wags only took off the $2.01 also and I was disappointed, but I’m chalking it up to “win some loose some”.
I had this same issue with the H&S sale and coupon. I wonder if it rings up this way because of returns. If someone buys 2, then trys to return 1 of them, they should only be reimbursed $2.01, because technically they are buying 1 for $5.99. Otherwise people might try to do this frequently to get the lower price.
Why can’t Wags just make the sale price the same, whether you buy 1 or more, then place a limit, if necessary, to avoid shelf-clearing. It would make life easier for everyone!

mine rang up the same way. the cashier took of $2.01….i paid then went to my not so favorite manager and asked why it was ringing that way and why couldnt I get the $4 off since it was 2/$8 not buy one for $6 and get another for $2…he let me and told cashier to ring the others as $4 off. was able to use the $1 off coupon and the BOGO on every 2 so, I paid $3 for 2 and got a $2rr
I just got back from Walgreens and the manager told me that they are only allowing two transactions per shopping trip. Anyone else run into this?
The couple in front of me had 8 transactions. The manager was the one checking them out and he didn’t limit the number of transactions.

YES! It depends on the manager on duty at each store. One week a store said only 2 transactions then the following week the same store said only 1 transaction. I think it varies especially if you use coupons. I doubt they limit other customers that don’t use coupons. Its so silly because what happens if you need to grab a gallon of milk in the evening. with a limit of one transaction..you won’t be able to return to the same store.
I ran in to this just today. I was so disappointed as I was trying to do the revlon tweezer deal for a bridal shower coming up. I wanted 6. There was 3 FULL rows on the shelf (so like 30 or 40 of them) ANC I just wanted 6. The cashier was like “how many transactions are u doing cuz our manager limits it to 2 per day because if people like u who abuse coupons.” sheesh! Was I abusing coupons? I didn’t clear any shelves and I was going go use the products, I wasn’t just getting it because it was free (otherwise I would have got all three rows of the tweezers….. Hello!!!)
Went to our local Walgreens, and they were already wiped out of the Goody Snap Clips and the Cottonelle TP. Still did pretty good. Got $57.14 of products and only paid $17.64 with $9.00 RR left. I could have done better if the TP was there… Its all good, have the $9.00 RR that I can use for next week =)
I also ran into issues with the creamate creamer. The manager said that I couldn’t use the $.55 coups with the $1 coup in the August book b/c it was a manu coupon. 🙁 Anyone else having problems?
I ran into this last week with the chocholate deal. ( 2 FOR 3.00) Had two manufacturer coupons for 1.00 and the 1.00 off two walgreens coupon and she said it wasnt allowed.
I wasnt going to fight over chocholate, so I said ok I wont get them..thank you.. and walked out 🙂

had issue with using a P&G RR (not from diapers) towards my pampers scenario. apparently P&G is getting really picky about using a P&G RR toward something that will print a P&G RR. Just a heads up. Also the pampers scenario is all messed up. Didn’t print my $5 coupon when I spent $25+. Manager said it was due to my total “after” coupons. never had that issue before? anyone else?
Manager told me the same thing, but when he rang up everything with NO coupons, nothing printed. Read the fine print on the catalina… swaddlers or cruisers. I bought Baby Drys. HTH

Yes mine did the same.Its a little bit of register trickery designed IMO just for a bogo scenario.In a normal world 2 items for 8$ would mean each are just 4 bucks and 4 dollars would be taken off accordingly with your coupon.With this type of register trickery one item is overpriced while the other is underpriced and if you read the fine print on a bogo coupon it usually will say “of an item of equal or lesser value” Most cashiers will take off the lesser value of 2.01 and you will end up paying 6(5.99) dollars for the 2 items you should have gotten for 4.
So after you add it up with the register ringing this way it comes out to 5.99 – 2$ register reward = 3.99. Or 1.99 per bottle,instead of coming out to 1.00 a piece like it should have been if the registers rang each item as 4 dollars a piece.Basicly it makes you overpay by 2 dollars.

I had 2 transactions in my cart…as soon as the cashier saw I had another pack of markers in my cart he told me I couldn’t buy them. They are limiting to one per WEEK (and yes there are signs at the registers saying so). whatever. I’ll go another day to get more markers. I do have 3 kids! 🙂

So I have had the worst time getting these RR from Wags 2day. Went to Wags at 7:05am, store open at 7:00am. They did not have a single item that was on sale. No toothbrushes(either kind) or TP or Pop Tarts. My question is regarding the poptarts. If the ad says 12 count and 4 stores state they do not sale a 12 count. What should I do? I asked then to sale the 8 count but honor the RR and they refused. The day is half over and I have gotten nothing…

I went to Walgreens last week and found a display for Keri lotion for 6.99 with a $5.00 RR. I got distracted at the check out and didn’t realize that I was charged 8.49 and no RR. I sent an email to customer service complaining Haven’t heard from them. I was at a different Walgreens later in the week, they had the same display but had the #6.99-#5.00 RR=$1.99 covered with a strip of paper.

Great Walgreens trip! my first store had plenty of markers and let me do all three of my transactions. I drove by another store on the way to run some other errands and popped in for more cereal and omega supplements. They had a ton of both, didn’t look for the other freebie items, since I wasn’t buying any of them.
I went to 2 Walgreens and both of them had the Keri lotion for $8.99. I had them do a price check just in case, but it stayed the same. I’m hoping it changes after the Monthly RR has been going for a bit. I was really excited about it and was really disappointed that it didn’t work out.
Had quite the experience at Walgreens today.. I was trying to cash in on the Gillete Body Wash B1g1 50 off and using a b1g1 free coupon. She said that she received an email this morning stating.. Walgreesns is no longer accepting B1G1 coupons on these types of sales… What? I don’t understand they still get reimbursed by the manufacturer and this is how I score big most of the time! At my store they were mislabeled for 2.99, I ordered more coupons..that arrived late Sat…so I used 4 2.00 coupons I still had and got the 2.99 price ;D ..I dont know why they didnt correct it cause I bought 2 last week and the price corrected then too – they just were to lazy and I got lucky! :D…which is a good thing cause I go thru a box a week!

I was told at my Wal-Greens that if you are buying an item that you will be getting a register reward for you can’t use a RR on that purchase even if it is from a different item, is that true? I thought it was just if it was from the same item, I tried to use a RR last week from Irish Spring on the Crest and instead of getting a $3 RR back I only got a $2 one so now I’m confused can someone help me please?

I went to one Walgreens at 11am on Sunday and they were sold out, so I tried another one a couple hours later, also sold out. I’m on vacation out of the state so I even tried the Walgreens around here, nothing! (Although I did use my Keri RR to help buy a sweatshirt for my mother-in-law 😉 So frustrating to be planning and hoping for a deal and not be able to find it anywhere, even on the first day of the sale!!

My Walgreens had plenty of Contact solution, but no markers, Keri, or Goody color clips. I went to the only other one anywhere near me, they had exactly the same empty shelf spaces as the other.
i went back today to pick up more vitamins for my kid. Last time I got only 1 to try them, he has been taking them faithfully all week without me having to remind him, so I went to get a few months supply.
they did not have any more goody clips, markers or oral b toothbrushes.

I forgot to check on the complete solution. I still dont have my coupons in so i wass’t planning on buying any anyways. but i forgot to check 🙁 I have a few $7rr i can turn into $8rrs LOL
i forgot to add that I got 4 special k cereals @ 4/$10…I used 2 $1.50/2 select kelloggs cereals rp 7/10 and ended up paying $0.50 a box after $5rr…not a cereal I like but for $0.50 a box I figured I could try it since i got the strawberry one and the vanilla one. If not, off to the food pantry it goes LOL
