Scenario WITH Regster Rewards 7/25

by Christie Bisbee on July 24, 2010

Here is my scenario for someone with Register Rewards.

In this scenario you’d spend $.20 out of pocket (OOP), get $31.51 in merchandise, and end up with $10 in Register Rewards. You would have started out with $14.50 in RR. So your total “cost” would be $4.70. This works out to be a savings of about 85%.

A couple of notes on these transactions…
-The Celsius Green Tea deal is a monthly deal if you don’t have the $3 coupon there will be a $2/1 coupon for many of you in Parade on Sunday or you can print one HERE.

Looks like the $1/1 is dead, bummer. So I just pulled it out of the scenario. So all should be good! 🙂

how do you know about the month long sales? my store is in a trial market and I’m thinking they did away with the month long sale in my market. I asked the manager at the store about the toothbrush sale and she looked at me like I was crazy. I don’t want to buy the items if they aren’t on register reward since they aren’t a good deal without them. Any ideas or suggestions? thanks

Josie – The month long sales are hardly ever advertised in my area either. A lot of those I learn about because myself or a reader or maybe another blogger, will get have a sign at their store or they’ll get a Catalina advertising the deal. My favorite cashiers saves all the catalina ads that people don’t want for me and many of those are advertising monthly deals. I know that in the test markets you guys don’t have 1/2 the RR deals the rest of us do so I don’t know if it will or will not be in the test market.

You could always test it out to see if it works. If the register reward doesn’t print out for you, just return them right then and there. Good luck!

It really makes me wonder how store managers can sometimes be so clueless about how their sales, coupon policies and register rewards work.

Since there is no official Walgreens coupon policy, I can see how they would be “clueless.” Also, the sales change every week so it’s not easy to keep up with (& there are tons of items on sale). Store managers should know how RR work.
