Scenario With NO Register Rewards 7/11

by Christie Bisbee on July 10, 2010

Here is my scenario for someone with NO Register Rewards. In this scenario you’d spend $6.18 out of pocket (OOP), get $49.66 in merchandise, and end up with $3 in Register Rewards!

A couple of notes on these transactions…
The regular price of the Reach and Right Guard will vary slightly.
I’ve highlighted the ones that count in your total in blue and the one’s that don’t in red.

Once you have completed the 3 transactions you can use your $3 RR on something else you need or  hold on to them till next week.

Have Fun! 🙂

Hey, thanks for all this information!

I’m just starting and I was wondering, why do you need to buy pencils in transaction 2 & 3? If you don’t would it still work?

Also what do you mean by “I’ve highlighted the ones that count in your total in blue and the one’s that don’t in red.”

Thanks,
Bobbie

Hi Bobbie – Welcome. 🙂 You need to buy the pencils in order to use the Register Rewards. You can’t have more items than coupons and a Register Reward = a coupon. So if you have 8 items and a manufacturer coupon (in blue) for each one then you would need to buy a “filler” in order to use the Register Reward. That’s where the pencil comes in.

So the items that are blue are the MQ which are the ones that count. The red ones are the Walgreens coupons and they don’t count in this coupon total. You could have 8 items, 8 blue coupons and any number of red coupons and be ok. You can check out the Frequently Asked Questions about shopping at Walgreens HERE. Hope that helps!

Bobbie….extra items are needed for coupon-to-item ratios. If you don’t have enough items you can’t use all the coupons available, especially registar rewards.
your second question…blue/red…means coupons…blue you must have as many items as coupons…red means coupons don’t count in coupon-to-ratio

Hope that helps….it can be very confusing…just hang in there!

I bought the 8pk of 312 energiner Hearing aid batteries today 10.99 b1g1 and it didn’t ring b1g1 so ai had to go back in and have it taken off. So beware on your receipt.
The 16pck does ring correctly not the 8pck but it should! Thsi is also way more expensive than usual. I bought saem product last week and it was on sale for 5.99 reg price 8.99…. So keep be ware!!

Allison I don’t think you can use them for anything else BUT hearing aids. Be thankful that you don’t have hearing aid because you wiz through these expensive batteries fairly quick!! I pick up for my Nana when they are on sale or a great deal like last week.
