Walgreens Eye Wash $1.06 Each

by Christie- on May 27, 2025

The eye care Register Reward deal is running thru 5/31. You’ll earn $5 RR for buying two items including the Walgreens brand eye wash. The sale price is B1G1 50% off. The Register Reward that prints is only good on eye or ear care, plus the register Reward is a store coupon.

Walgreens Deals (Thru 5/31)
Buy (2) Walgreens Eye Wash, $4.79 B1G1 50% off
Total = $7.18, Get back 7¢ cash rewards
+ $5 RR good on Eye or Ear Care
= $1.06 each

Here are some things to keep in mind when using a STORE COUPON…

1. You don’t need a filler. You can use it on one item priced at $6 for example and for which you have a $1 coupon.
2. This one will work with Clip2Card coupons, just make sure the total after this store coupon for the item that you are using it on does not dip below the value of the Clip2Card you want to redeem.
3. Don’t use this Store coupon on threshold deals because it behaves like a Walgreens Coupon from the Monthly book. If you have a $7 WYB $35 coupon for instance, and you use this coupon in that transaction, the total will be $5 less before any MQ. So be sure to grab $40 for example to succesfully use it. It will likely NOT roll.

It not only “behaves” like a Monthly book coupon, but-lately (since about may 10th) if you buy anything besides the Eye/ear care item, the $5.00 is distributed over the entire list of purchases for the purpose of return value! I had just a regular $5,00 -off-of-$5.00-or-more Catalina and I had one item that rang double the price on the shelf. I asked for it to be deleted, then paid for the $22.00 purchase with cash & the coupon. On the way out the door I noticed that the mistaken-priced item had NOT been deleted, & I’d paid $10.99 for it. I immediately turned around & asked for it to be taken off & return my $$. The return value had reduced to $8.79! I discussed at length w/manager that I didn’t want the item in first place, why should I lose $2.20 for their mistake. She explained over & over that she’s not allowed to return over the value that’s on the receipt. I said there’s plenty beyond the mistaken item to meet the $5.00 coupon threshold, so I shouldn’t lose the coupon value, especially since the item was mistakenly charged in the 1st place. Eventually I had to accept the $8.79 & she added $3.00 in cash rewards to compensate. BUT this is happening with ALL my orders and in-store purchases now, every time I use a catalina coupon or an online promo code, if I have to return an item, I can’t get the full price back because the coupon or promo-code value is apportioned off for a reduced return value! In discussion I have told them this is fraud–Wags gets the full value back for their coupon, then reduces returns by the apportioned amount of coupon (so customer can’t retrieve that value)–Wags gets TWICE the value for that part of the coupon! One manager I talked with said that it might be because of recent sale of Walgreens to new management. Even if so, the unfairness of it really stinks!
