Also if you are a Senior Citizen and use the SENIOR20 to get 20% off regular price items marked * above, you’ll need to add more things. Make sure that you’ve reached $20 for each section cosmetics, hair care, skin care after the percentage comes off.
This is how you calculate percentage discounts and thresholds. For example if you have $25 worth of regular price hair care and $10 in manufacturers coupons, do this: $25-$10 = $15, then $15 * 20% is $3. So go back to the beginning $25-$3= $22 iS OVER $20, so the threshold has been met. Manufacturer’s coupon do not count against the threshold. Then if you have $22 worth of facial care, and $5 in coupons: $22-$5 = $17*20 = $3.40. So going back to the beginning, $22-$3.40 =$18.6, which is NOT enough so you won’t reach the threshold to earn points. In this case, add more facial care.
TIPS ON REMOVING ITEMS FROM YOUR CART: Because I want to post the best deal, I often add things and remove them to see how to grab the best deal, and this time I had a devil of a time removing things ONCE the FREE gifts showed up in my cart. They would not be deleted from the cart! Say instead of the Herbal Essences I had added 2 head and shoulders but the coupon for that one is only $3/2, so figured it’s a better deal with the $4/2, but they wouldn’t come off. OK Try adding the new item THEN deleting the old item! If this does not work YOU MUST remove the free gifts from the cart first. Try one or the other. Then when you add the items you are happy with, then the gifts don’t show up, so you must remove everything from the cart and start over. It’s a pain, BUT I think it was such an awesome deal, that I think it’s worth it!
