I still don’t understand why one can’t use 2 of the $3.00/two coupons? It complies with Walgreens policy that only one coupon can be redeemed per item actually purchased in a buy-one-get-one-free deal. If buying four, that’s two for the “buy one part” so why not use two $3.00 coupons?
I checked to see if only one coupon was allowed by Dial, and it actually reads, “Limit of two identical coupons in same shopping trip”, so it seems as if two could be used-of course, if nothing else was purchased, the 5x points coupon wouldn’t work, but that’s only 50cents as opposed to $3.00 savings with coupon.
You can’t use a $3/2 coupon on two items that are BOGO free because you’re only “buying” one. You have to get four so that you are “buying” two. It’s in Walgreens’s coupon policy.
I think this is up to interpretation-the one rule #10 that applies: Coupons may not be applied against any free item received in any offer (See 7 above)–refers back to #7–
Walgreens will not accept coupons that exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons. And we also can apply #9, For offers when multiple items are purchased and additional items are free (buy 1 get 1 free; buy 2 get 1 free, etc.), the number of coupons applied to that offer cannot exceed the number of items required in the “buy” portion of the offer….meaning you can use ONE coupon per the purchase of ONE BOGOfree set, AS LONG AS THE VALUE OF THE COUPON (#7) doesn’t exceed the purchase price of the first-one-item purchased–you can’t have any of the coupon value apply toward the zero-cost item. I purchased two $2.29 BOGOfree Dial soap pumps yesterday, used one of the $1.25/2 coupons, and had no problem. I think the deal is, no separate-or second-coupon can count towards the free item—Walgreens USED to allow two coupons for purchase of BOGOfree items, and they went right through the register as long as the total of both coupons didn’t exceed the price of the first item purchased. No more–they changed to this new deal about 3-4 years ago.
