The Schick products are on sale again this month for BOGO 50% and buy $20 or more on participating Schick products and get $5 (5,000 points.) The great news is that this time many of you have a nice Smartsource BOGO coupon to make them an even better deal than last month.
I was surprised to see it automatically took off the most expensive item. I noticed the tags read good through 7/27, except for the Edge and Skintimate shave gels. The tags on those read good through 7/6. I was considering switching to Venus razors, but maybe I shall remain a Schick girl after all at these prices!

I’m confused because my BOGO coupon says “free item must be equal or lesser value” so this means this deal won’t work?
Elsie, she’s half right…..the coupon should take off one razor at $8.99 and one razor at $7.99 since the coupon states equal or lesser value. The coupons when scanned may do something different if they have been pre-coded with an amount but your cashier may elect to put in the correct price ๐ It’s still a great deal at $1.37 ea. ๐
I have done the deal on 2 different days at 2 different stores. The register accepts it at the full price, without having to enter anything.
I did my Schick deal today with 3 BOGO Q’s and bought 6 items ranging from $9.49- $8.49 but made it over the $40 value and earned 10,000 BR points. Minus my Q’s and $10 of points it was $3.47 plus tax.
Are you saying it took off the full value of the coupon $10.50? ๐
If you buy 4 extreme threes (2 @ 7.99, 2 at 3.99) and use 2 b1g1 qs and 1 5/2 q = 2.99 plus tax and 5000 points=free!
Victor…you really aren’t supposed additional coupons with BOGO free coupons. The BOGO free coupon applies to both of the items you are buying not just the one you are getting free. You can’t use 2 manufacturer’s coupon on the same item unless one is a store coupon. I know a lot of people think it’s ok but according to manufacturer’s it’s not supposed to be done and they don’t reimburse the stores for the addtional coupons even though they may not beep at the register. ๐
I have never heard that before.
This is directly from the Walgreens’ website coupon policy.
Buy One, Get One Free Coupons
When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.
So, if you purchase 4 items, you can use 4 coupons – even if two of them are the BOGO’s.
I think they are referring to bigi coupons not store deals when you use a coupon that’s bigi you aren’t suppose to use an additional coupon on the item that’s free. If the store is doing a bigi deal then some allow you to use a coupon for each item for money off.
So…..I went to score this deal today and the cashier refused to honor the price that the BOGO coupon was scanning in at, which was 8.99. She insisted that both coupons should be worth 4.50. I asked her to check with her manager, she grudgingly did, and came back to report that her manager confirmed it should be 4.50. Are they right? Or is there something in the coupon policy I can cite? Thanks for heads-up on this great deal, even if I was turned down.
A BOGO manufacturer coupon counts as TWO coupons since you must purchase two items. The register (at least at my store) will not allow another to be scanned in, which I am assuming is the same in all stores unless the cashier manually punches in the additional coupon (which is fraud.)
A BOGO coupon will take of the price of the lesser value, which in this case is the 4.50. So the employees were correct even though the coupon did not scan in that way.
My local WAGS only would deduct 4.49 for each coupon, apparently the new Q policy there says they have to do it that way.
Out of 8 stores in my area only one questioned the coupon deducting at the higher price – and they still gave me the full amount off. I’ve not seen many instances where the coupon automatically put in the price – most coupons will beep and the cashier has to put in the amount.
Since the price seems to be coded into the coupon I would think that the stores that modify the coupon to the 50% off amount are going to make money on the deal when they redeem the coupons at the clearing house. With the quantity of coupons being sent through I can’t imagine them looking at that little box on each coupon and keying in the amount the store valued the coupon.
Just my two cents worth!
