If you don’t have health insurance or your insurance doesn’t offer much coverage for your medication, then you may want to consider the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club
. Members get special discounts off the cash price of thousands of brand-name and generic medications as other great benefits.
And right now thru 1/31/2013 they are offering a $15 bonus on memberships! Memberships are $20 for individuals or $35 for a family per year. So that’s like $5 for an individual or $20 for a family after the bonus.
The $15 bonus will be credited to your Prescription Savings Club account if you remain enrolled for 31 days after paying membership fees. It then basically becomes a $15 credit that you can use in store.
Even though I have insurance one medication I take is $20 via insurance and only $5 a month with the Walgreens savings plan, so it’s like saving $180 on that medication alone! Way more than the cost of my membership.
Plus you can’t really go wrong, since this is a risk-free membership. If you don’t save at least the cost of your prescription card membership fee in one year, they’ll give you the difference. Here are some of the perks…
- Valuable discounts on thousands of brand-name and most generic medications
- Between 5 and 20% discounts on most immunizations
- 10% bonus on purchases of Walgreens Brand and Nice! products
- 10% bonus on in-store photofinishing services
- 10% savings on services from Take Care ClinicsSM at select Walgreens
- Additional prescription discounts on pet medications with a human equivalent
Please Note: Persons receiving benefits from Medicare, Medicaid or other federal or state healthcare programs are ineligible. Membership may be cancelled within 30 days of issue date for a full refund. For complete terms and conditions, click here. This program isn’t insurance.
