Stock Up Register Rewards Are Back!

by Christie Bisbee on December 13, 2011

Yay! Looks like Walgreens has brought back the STOCK UP Register Rewards! Some of these are printing for $5 off of $25 and are good for ONE Week ONLY.

These are a good way to save on a larger transaction. You can use one Stock Up Register Reward per transaction but you can’t use it in conjunction with Jingle Cash.

We don’t yet know exactly what’s causing them to print so if you get one let us know what you bought! I hope I get one soon! 🙂

(Thanks So Much Maria!)

I love RR’s, but I have never spent $25 in a Wag. I may have to give mine away. Using coupons and RR usually I get out with little over a $ or two. LOL

I always only spend a few dollars or so myself- but I saved a big transaction and used the free peeps and finally bought the toilet bowl cleaner kit thingy and a bunch of other things….and my total got up to about 38 before taxes/before coupons. The coupons I used brought my total down to 17 and then used RR to pay for the rest – paid a little over 2 in tax OOP and got a 5 jingle bucks 🙂 So…hopefully I can do it again next week!! I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss the value of that coupon 🙂

Yes, exactly – that’s the “stock up coupon” that the Jingle Cash is referring too. Hope we see lots more of these!

Just curious, has anyone else heard a rumor about the Register Reward program shutting down? Last night, I was in my Walgreens picking up items and my clerk said that they have been having such a problem with the RR program because of people buying a mass amount of the items in one sitting. She said that the shelves are cleared before Wednesday in the week and other customers complain about not getting a chance to buy items. According to her, the regional manager announced that next year the RR program will be closed down and replaced with a different program. She was upset about it because it wouldn’t have happened if people weren’t so abusive of the program. Around where I live, there are even ladies that buy the free items in large quantity and then resell them at garage sales.
Just wondering if anyone else has heard this or if it’s heresay.

Also, this isn’t the same as the test market rewards closing too. Although my clerk mentioned that as well, but she said she wasn’t sure what program was replacing the rewards program, like whether it would be plastic cards or still paper printouts, etc. If there is a new program coming, she did say the rules for it were supposed to be easier to work with than the current RRs.
Again, I don’t know if any of this is true, that’s just what she said. Wondering if anyone else has heard similar things from their Walgreens staff/management.

I thought that I would have a hard time using my jingle cash, but, came up with a deal if it will help some one else.Smart Source has a printable coupon for One touch Delica lancing devices. The coupon is for 19.99 and that is what the device sells for, the Dec. book has a walgreens coupon also but most of the stores around here are not letting us use it for overage. It is still a quick way to get your totals up. Make sure you use jingle cash first. Hope it helps.

I work at Walgreens and the only time this ever prints is when someone uses a Stock up reward from getting a flu shot. When you get a flu shot you receive a coupon for $3 off $15 good ONE day only. Once that coupon is scanned at the register, this prints. Hope this helps 🙂
