Walgreens will be rolling out their Jingle Cash promotion again between Dec. 4-17. Jingle Cash is just another name for a bonus Register Reward, that you’ll earn if you spend a certain amount (before manufacturer’s coupons but after Walgreens coupons) during the holidays.
Walgreens has made some big changes to the program. The biggest change is that you have to spend your Jingle Cash on a purchase of $30 or more. And any Jingle Cash you earn has to be spent the FOLLOWING week. You an read more about it HERE.

Woohoo. I loved this last year.
This is something new to me and I am wodering if you use Jingle Cash toward a $30.00 purchase, will you earn another $5.00 Jingle Cash Reward? For instance, if I buy $50 worth of stuff and get a $10.00 Jingle Cash Reward, can I use the $10.00 Reward on another transaction totaling $30.00 – $49.99 and get another $5.00 reward?, or spend $50.00 and get another $10.00 reward, and so on?
The terms do not state whether these roll or not.
Last year, as long as the price AFTER using that jingle cash was at the redeemable price (30, 50, w/e it may be), then another one would print!
So….when you REDEEM a JC, can you use it before manufacturer’s coupons? For example, would this work:
Total purchase: $31.00
Jingle Cash Redemption: -$5.00
Coupon Redemption: -$10.00
Total: $16.00
Or would you not be able to use the JC? Is the $30 minimum purchase before or after coupons?
it said before coupons
Terms do not state what qualifies as a $30 purchase, whether it’s before or after MQs. One could assume the qualify purchase rules are the same for earning and spending, but you know what happens when you assume.
look at the site, it says before manufacturer coupons but after walgreens discounts/coupons
I am not loving the have to spend 30.00 to redeem it this year.
I’m there with you. Mom had a term for such things — “Rip City!”
I totally agree!!
Its going to be hard for me to have $30.00 before manuf coupons
I agree. I rarely spend $30 at Walgreens or CVS. I only buy it at these stores if it is cheaper than Target when you consider coupons, RR or ECB. Why would I spend more?
So this isn’t likely to be a big help for me. I now have to have TWO $30+ purchases two weeks in a row to get any use out of this promotion. meh.
The $30 requirement seems a little steep, but it will be easy to reach if Walgreens is offering a lot of free after RR items again this year. Just get as many of those as possible in your transaction to push you over the $30 requirement, then earn your jingle cash and all of the RR’s at the same time. Last year I made out pretty good on jingle cash when they ran their BOGO free toy promotion. Between free after RR items, regular super deals, and the toy BOGO sale, it was easy to earn jingle cash. I guess we’ll wait and see what they pull out of their tushes for holiday sales this year…. 🙂
