going out to try it will let you know how it goes thanks

Ashley August 23, 2011 at 2:42 pm

Sweet! I even have three $1/1 manufacturer coupons so this would be an awesome money maker!!! Now I just have to wait for my daughter to wake up from her nap….

Ashley August 23, 2011 at 4:33 pm

Just got back. I got 3 bars of soap and a memo book (in case the guy cashier didn’t adjust my coupons down….he didn’t) for .29. And out popped a $6 RR. Thanks so much for posting this deal!!!

Brent August 23, 2011 at 10:59 pm

I can’t stand that they did not adjust your coupons. It’s in their policy to adjust them down and I have had managers at three different stores tell me that. Still a good deal!

Laura August 23, 2011 at 2:49 pm

i bought 3 dove yesterday, and it did not give me a $6 RR. did it start today?

Christie August 23, 2011 at 2:53 pm

Did you buy the exact same ones pictured? There are quite a few different Dove bars.

Amanda August 23, 2011 at 3:59 pm

Worked for me the computers must be kicking it out for the. Other dove deal this week

Barbara August 23, 2011 at 4:02 pm

I just did it in Charleston, SC I bought the white bars and the sensitive ones. Thank you. That was fun.

AWalker7980 August 23, 2011 at 4:04 pm

I went and purchased the single Dove white bars. 3 of them at $1.97 each, scanned the instore coupon and didn’t get the RR? Any idea on this Christie?

Veronica August 23, 2011 at 4:06 pm

My Wags said that they can’t adjust down anymore. They used to do it, but they said they changed their coupon policy a few days ago. Anyone else have this problem?

Laura August 23, 2011 at 4:06 pm

Christie….it totally worked!!!! i went back and bought the reg. dove that you have pictured, instead of any unscented soap, and got my $6 RR! i’m soooo happy! =)

Steve August 23, 2011 at 4:08 pm

Looks like it will be a waste- no go

Lianne August 23, 2011 at 4:10 pm

I read you only need one Instore Q–does that automatically bring all 3 down to .96 or does the clerk have to scan it 3X?

Raquel August 23, 2011 at 4:14 pm

One coupon will take off $3

Lia August 23, 2011 at 4:10 pm

Worked for me!!! I bought 3 Dove single bars and got the $6 RR with no problems. Also Christie (Wild for Wags) I just want to inform you that this lady (Vicky’s Coupons) has a link on her FB site and she is using your link (this one here)Just to let you know she is bragging about using the $.75 Dove 6-Pack coupons fraudulently. Very shameful!!!

Karen MCkinney August 23, 2011 at 4:11 pm

I like the dove mens bar ,, does this special apply to them ?

Kari August 23, 2011 at 4:13 pm

Wow!! It worked great! Thanks so much!

Martha August 23, 2011 at 4:13 pm

Work perfect for me,and i have a $1.00 off coupon so $4.00 money maker. Thanks so much.

Jennifer S August 23, 2011 at 4:16 pm

Where is everyone finding the $1 coupons at?

Ashley August 23, 2011 at 4:32 pm

I email companies to compliment them or ask for coupons. That’s where I got my $1 coupons.

Jennifer S August 23, 2011 at 4:47 pm

Nice! I thought I was looking over a MQ. Thanks!

Christy August 23, 2011 at 4:23 pm

Worked like a charm, thank you!!!

Tamishia Franklin August 23, 2011 at 4:27 pm

I just did it 20 minutes ago and bought the sensitive skin unscented and the white bars and received $6 on each transaction back. Awesome!

Michelle T. August 23, 2011 at 4:27 pm

Perfect….my local pantry just posted they needed bars of soap! 🙂

Steve August 23, 2011 at 4:33 pm

Nothing like taking advantage of a programming error!!

Kelly August 23, 2011 at 4:33 pm

Making money this way is such a rush. Thanks!

Laurel August 23, 2011 at 4:41 pm

I just did it! I will also be donating mine Michelle!

CT August 23, 2011 at 4:44 pm

Yep, donating mine as well. I had let me RR run out so this was a perfect opportunity to get back in for minimal oop!

ART August 23, 2011 at 4:44 pm

I’m on vacation from work this week so I was able to run out right away and get mine… yay for money makers!

winnie August 23, 2011 at 4:53 pm

I just did it! It works for the caress single bar soaps as well! When one of the walgreens rang me up they noticed it and she told all her co workers and they cleared the shelves right away. -___-

Heather August 23, 2011 at 5:41 pm

Which caress bars did you buy? I would much rather get these, but I don’t want to get the wrong ones and not get the RR!

Mpayshnt August 23, 2011 at 5:46 pm

The caress single bars (3) spits out a $6RR as well??

winnie August 23, 2011 at 5:56 pm

Yes it does

Danna August 23, 2011 at 4:58 pm

It worked for me……….I’m in KY. Thank you!

Erin August 23, 2011 at 5:00 pm

Worked for me on the sensitive in OK. Yay!

Jen August 23, 2011 at 5:15 pm

Would this still work if I used a P&G RR to pay for part of it?

Amelia August 23, 2011 at 5:19 pm

Worked for me! There were plenty on the shelf, but I’m sure there won’t be for long!

Lisa August 23, 2011 at 5:22 pm

Just did it. What a great deal, thanks!!!!

JC August 23, 2011 at 5:26 pm

It worked for me in MO. Thank you!

Sheena August 23, 2011 at 5:36 pm

Hoping to get some of these after work! This is the soap I use and so does my brother. The $1.25 off the 6pk didn’t seem like such a great deal with some of the ad match ups but you can’t beat this!!!

karen August 23, 2011 at 8:57 pm

I used 2 3rr and got 2 6rr back… this is awesome. Does anyone know why its happening? Certainly not complaining hehe

Christine August 23, 2011 at 5:36 pm

I went to the Seattle, WA downtown location and it worked fine.. but the lady tore up my register reward and told me it was an error and they can’t give it to me! how annoying! I’m going to another walgreens later though..

Christine August 23, 2011 at 5:39 pm

This is so ridiculous. I went to the SEattle WA location in downtown and they tore up my register reward and said it was an error and i couldn’t have it.

Jen August 23, 2011 at 5:41 pm

Worked great of course. My store was out of the sensitive, I’m hoping they get some more in before they catch this deal and stop it. I’d love to get some sensitive stuff for my kiddo.

Yvonne August 23, 2011 at 5:43 pm

I saw a shelf clearer at the first Wags I went to. She had every bar in her cart and this had just been posted!!! I went to another one right down the road and they were fully stocked. Did this deal twice and it worked like a charm. THANKS for the tip :~)

AWalker7980 August 23, 2011 at 5:47 pm

Well this works for sure on the sensitive skin type, but not on the regular dove white bar. I visited 3 different Walgreen’s in my area (Houston, TX) and tried both kinds and it was only printing on the sensitive skin!!!! Just FYI!!!!

Laura August 23, 2011 at 6:53 pm

mine only worked on the regular white bar…not the unscented. hmmm. wonder why?

nosh August 23, 2011 at 7:24 pm

hey i did this twice only, since what else am i going to do with all those rr, everything priced at wags is already jacked up high prices. so i did it twice for the reg dove on the north side houston.

Ger August 23, 2011 at 7:29 pm

I did a combo of 2 sensitive skin and 1 white, got it!

Katy August 23, 2011 at 5:50 pm

Thanks – you posted this earlier than the other bloggers so it was nice to have a head start. I think all 3 of our Wags are out of singles already. It worked like a charm. I basically got a gallon of milk for free with it:)

kendrae August 23, 2011 at 6:46 pm

it’s states on the reg reward that it’s not suppose to be used on dairy and some other things. it will scan with no problem and most cashiers don’t read the rewards small print so they do take it. but if that is what u used for your milk and you are a legit couponer just thought you might wanna know….

Maria August 23, 2011 at 8:54 pm

I think she meant that by making $3 it was “like” they gave you a free gallon of milk (since that’s around the price)

kendrae August 25, 2011 at 12:34 am

oh…lol…

Morgan C. August 23, 2011 at 5:51 pm

I just bought 15! Thanks so much! Great deal!

carrie August 23, 2011 at 5:59 pm

worked for me in Florida, luuuuuuuuuv wags!!!!!!!

Kelly August 23, 2011 at 6:02 pm

Just did this with the sensitive bars and it worked perfectly. My store also got the Colgate pro-relief in today so it was another fantastic money maker to pair with…great shopping day at Walgreen’s! Thanks Christie for posting!

Amanda August 23, 2011 at 6:03 pm

Worked for the sensitive bars in southwest Michigan! Awesome, I needed soap!

RieT August 23, 2011 at 6:03 pm

I went to my nearest Walgreen and they had a sign saying RR is not applicable to the single bar. But I tried anyway, and the catalina came out, but the cashier threw it away saying, “you are not getting this.” I tried another Walgreen and there was no problem. Interesting to see the difference between the branches.

jeni August 23, 2011 at 6:06 pm

I was able to get both the sensitive and regular bars. I saw a couple other couponers and gave them a heads up. Awesome deal!

Cecilia August 23, 2011 at 6:18 pm

I went to 5 stores and got it 5 times. Also got my last bottle of Keri and 2 packs of diapers. Was holding out on the diapers, not sure it was a good enough price but with what I was making on the soap I went ahead and got some. First grandchild on the way. Thanks!!!

Teresa August 23, 2011 at 6:18 pm

Awsome deal!! I had just got back from WAGS earlier this evening and read about this deal.
Went back and it worked like a charm…thank you!

Judy August 23, 2011 at 6:36 pm

I got 9 bars in 3 different transactions and 3 6RR!yay!!!i also got 10 revlon cosmetic products and 2 carmex which unfortunately didn’t give me any RR for both beacause our store only gives extra points on this product:( but anyways still got a pretty good deal i only paid 17.23$ total for the 3 transaction and got 3 6RR!!! .77$ profit for buying all the products!!!! Thank you christie!!!:=)

Judy August 23, 2011 at 6:37 pm

U was wondering if the keri lotion will give 5RR still?!

denise August 23, 2011 at 6:38 pm

Thanks! It worked in Phoenix. The cashier was so excited that she ran to the soap aisle to get 3 bars for herself!

RT August 23, 2011 at 6:39 pm

I went to the nearest WAGS, and they had a sign saying the single bars are not applicable to RR. They threw away the RR which came out for the transaction. I visited another WAGS, and everything worked fine. Thanks.

Denise August 23, 2011 at 6:42 pm

Working in Madison AL. THANKS Christie!

Heather August 23, 2011 at 6:44 pm

Worked for me on the sensitive bars! Thank you so much!

While I was there I tried to use the raincheck I got for 99 cent Expo markers, which would have been made free by my $2/2 markers mnfg coupon. I was told that I could not use a coupon in conjunction with a raincheck. Does anyone know if this is true? I didn’t see anything in the coupon policy about it. Thanks!

Betsy August 23, 2011 at 6:44 pm

This deal works in CO on both regular and sensitive. Stores still had plenty, but won’t last long!

anne August 23, 2011 at 8:12 pm

Thanks for the update about the deal working in CO – I just got 3 sensitive soaps in Aurora – worked like a charm!

Jenny August 23, 2011 at 6:59 pm

I just got back from Walgreens and the Dove deal worked perfectly. I do have a question about the Revlon deal. Our eyeshadow palettes and mascara were marked down to 5.99, so I subbed a couple of those. I had quite a few things and all 3 kiddos with me so I just didn’t notice until I got to the car that it took 40% off the regular price. 6.99 for the palettes and 7.99 for the mascara…so 4.19 and 5.39 after the 40% off. Was the 40% off on the regular price? Can they refund it if it rang up wrong?

Jenny August 23, 2011 at 11:55 pm

Took the Revlon back and the manager was so nice (she always has been though). She told me sometimes two sales coincide and don’t ring up right and refunded me $5+. After that was settled I bought 3 sensitive Doves just to see if it worked on those and it did! THEN when we got home my 2 year old tried to flush 3 of my new single eyeshadows down the toilet when I was giving the older two a bath. *sigh* LOL

Erica August 23, 2011 at 7:09 pm

Worked wonderful at my 2 stores. Thanks!

Mindi August 23, 2011 at 7:14 pm

I have a feeling this is a huge glitch in their system – I’m sure somehow this upc got entered into the system under the 3/$18 sale with a $6RR….. I’m sure by end of day it will be caught and fixed. Reminds me of the degree cat that was working on the trial sizes a few weeks back.
Poor wags.

Steve August 23, 2011 at 7:44 pm

Mindi,
I had mentioned this also early on in the thread that it was a programming error and nothing like taking advantage. Earlier postings were removed though.

Karin August 23, 2011 at 7:16 pm

Worked like a charm with Dove white, sensitive and Caress bar soap in central MO!! Thank you so much Christie!!!

Lindsay August 23, 2011 at 7:22 pm

Just went to my local store to get this great deal. When I got to the soap area I noticed that ALL the Dove soaps for this deal were on a cart and no more on the shelves. As I was approaching, the worker left the cart to help another customer, so I just went ahead and grabbed the 3 soaps thinking she was getting ready to put them on the shelves anyway. NOPE, when I looked back she was taking the entire stock to the back. No more Dove soaps on the shelves, but not b/c they were bought up. Still love my store, but it makes me wonder how often this happens.

laureen August 23, 2011 at 7:32 pm

hey maybe she was taking it to the back so EVERYONE can get the deal without shelf clearers coming through lol

darly August 23, 2011 at 7:34 pm

which store is this?

Becca August 23, 2011 at 7:24 pm

Can’t thank you enough for the head’s up on this deal. while I was at Wags, I got to test out another deal I was wondering about. The Brita filters ARE included in the $4 off Brita Q “for pitcher and faucet systems”. I have a BA who is willing to try ANYTHING thank goodness!

Tina Schultz August 24, 2011 at 1:05 am

So Cool!!! Do you happen to know if there are coupons out there for it and if they can be paired with that?

Tracy August 23, 2011 at 7:26 pm

It doesn’t make sense that you can use the .99 coupon for 3- 3.15oz. bar of dove towards the 3/$18.00 6-pack Bar soap and get the $6.00 RR. The .99 coupon is for one bar of soap not a 6-pack.

laureen August 23, 2011 at 7:34 pm

i just left my job (walgreens) too… well the shelf was fully stocked. I wonder how long it last. My car is broke too… i wanna go out now T_T

Dana August 23, 2011 at 7:34 pm

I did 3 seperate transations and 3 stores (we have a large homeless shelter near our work and I will be donating the bulk of them) as to not clear shelves. worked great! all the workers were surprised and loved hearing about the deal. I love to share with the workers, this way they see couponers are good resources. Thanks for the tip!

nita August 23, 2011 at 7:38 pm

Thanks — it worked in Austin. The cashier was heading back to grab “some” bar.

Carolina August 23, 2011 at 7:39 pm

As soon as I read this post I grabbed my things and drove to walgreens (5 mins away). I did this deal twice and it worked for me in El Paso,TX. Thanks

Lisa August 23, 2011 at 7:42 pm

I’m headed to Walgreens tomorrow afternoon to pick up some stuff, hope it’s still working then (or that I remember).

Maribeth August 23, 2011 at 7:46 pm

It worked for me!

Vanessa August 23, 2011 at 7:50 pm

Hey does anyone know if you can use the coupons with this? I sure hope the deal works in the morning.

Tracy August 23, 2011 at 7:53 pm

Worked in Portland OR…..one of the sucky test markets that gets whimpy points instead of very many rewards so yea!!!I went to 3 stores and it worked on both white and sensitive. I’ve been usuing mens dove cause we haven’t had any free soap for awhile.

Shelly August 23, 2011 at 8:02 pm

This is why I love wild for wags! What a great deal. This is the soap we use and we were down to two bars. Plus my husband uses degree, but we got the crappy coupon. So as soon as I saw this I ran to wags. They had tons at mine. I only bought the sensitive because that is what we use, but it worked perfectly. I justified getting the degree because of the mm. Thanks!

Mrs. T. August 23, 2011 at 8:02 pm

I just got back and the deal worked perfectly for me here in San Antonio. I got the Dove bars pictured. They still have a few in my closest Wags so I might go back and try the Caress :-). Love it!!!

Maria August 23, 2011 at 8:04 pm

Worked in Dallas Texas

Uniquebreeze August 23, 2011 at 8:09 pm

I did this deal today and spent my money on MandM’s. Thank you so much.

eryka workman August 23, 2011 at 8:14 pm

It worked for me today. I bought the last three bar soaps in the shelf and I got 6 dollars in register rewards

Michelle August 23, 2011 at 8:14 pm

In Evansville, IN, this deal worked for me! My favorite cashier told me about when I walked in the door, but she told me it was a computer glitch that should be fixed tomorrow (Wednesday). If you are planning to do it, be sure you go tonight!

Alice August 23, 2011 at 8:24 pm

Thanks so much!! I just scooped up this deal!

Lori August 23, 2011 at 8:25 pm

ack! both of my walgreens were wiped clean by the time i got done with work

Kales August 23, 2011 at 8:27 pm

Worked for me! Did 2 transactions (3 bars each) and each one popped out a $6 RR. Thanks Wildforwags!

kimmie August 23, 2011 at 8:30 pm

Thanksforthis!IwasliterallyalreadyatthebusstopafterleavingmywWAGSwhenireadthis.Bestbelieveiranbackinandmissedmybus!

Rosy August 23, 2011 at 8:33 pm

Just worked in Canton GA. Wooohooo!!!

Maria August 23, 2011 at 8:51 pm

I have to say that I got bunches of them. I’m not a shelf clearer, but the cashier told me they had over-ordered and had boxes full in the back. So I repeated the checkout quite a few times…
They still have tons and tons on my Walgreens…!
(oh I don’t want to be tempted to head back there!)

Jewel August 23, 2011 at 9:01 pm

PLease tell us what “area” you are located in…It helps =)

Annie August 23, 2011 at 9:38 pm

The RR can be used for same transaction? I mean can you roll the RR for same transaction? Or, did you pay for each transaction?

XCA August 23, 2011 at 10:20 pm

Very sweet of you to leave some! Enjoy!

Uniquebreeze August 23, 2011 at 8:58 pm

I got two sensitive and one white. It worked great. Got the $6RR

Kelly August 23, 2011 at 8:59 pm

the cashier at my wags cosmetics counter had stated that earlier a woman came in and bought 3 and a RR did print but she could not give it to her because it was not suppose to be for the single bars. Can they do that? refuse to give the customer a RR?

leanne August 23, 2011 at 9:05 pm

That’s what happened to me. The cashier took the reward and said the manager told her not to give them out, since this was a glitch in the system.

Sara H. August 23, 2011 at 8:59 pm

Worked perfectly! Thanks for the head’s up! Plenty of stock at our store. Sensitive skin version works too so if your store is out of the regular Dove look for the sensitive version.

nancy August 23, 2011 at 9:03 pm

In Bothell, WA this is not working. They have a sign up that it is not part of the deal and ripped up the RR when I tried anyway…

Amy in Pcola August 23, 2011 at 9:20 pm

Working in Pensacola, FL!

deann August 23, 2011 at 9:30 pm

OMG! So excited. I stopped to get the soap, turned around, and the John Frieda Foam haircolor was on clearance for $3 – of which I knew I had a $3/1 coupon! After I checked out, it also kicked out a $2 RR!!!! So not only money-maker on the soap, but on the hair color! woot woot! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Kristine August 24, 2011 at 1:53 am

The foam hair color was on clearance? What state are you in? I will have to check ASAP!

Deann August 24, 2011 at 4:25 pm

In Tennessee, and the cashier said they JUST put it out yesterday afternoon. I didn’t see it at any other stores in the area yet, but I’m keeping my eyes open for it! 🙂

Susan August 23, 2011 at 9:31 pm

It worked for me. I went to several Wags and did it one time at each. There was plenty of stock, but I just don’t feel right doing it more than once at a single store.

And they smell so good. I was going to go to our local food pantry for the first time this morning, but we had workers at our house during the limited 2 hour window that they are open. So tomorrow I will go and donate my 2 bags of food, one of toiletries and one of soap (I am keeping the Dove, but will give them my 4 packages of Ivory and Safeguard).

My DH’s company put out an urgent need for this food pantry.

Annie August 23, 2011 at 9:41 pm

The RR are working for next same transaction? can someone please clear that for me?

Patty August 23, 2011 at 9:42 pm

I got mine. I went to two different locations. It’s tempting to do it all day long but it wouldn’t be right.

Jennifer D. August 23, 2011 at 9:44 pm

Worked great! I did my usual Wild for Wags check after dinner and when I saw this post I grabbed my couponing stuff and went running out the door telling my husband – “I gotta go do some couponing!” lol. (He’s used to Sunday mornings at 7am, but 8pm on Tuesday not so much!) The first store I went to had no singles bars in stock so I headed to a second and they had plenty 🙂 I’m very very pleased. Thanks so much Wild for Wags!

Ilovecouponing2011 August 23, 2011 at 9:46 pm

Worked great in philadelphia.pa

Fahm August 23, 2011 at 9:47 pm

Worked wonderfully in Merced CA, but the lady at the beauty counter kept my rr for the Caress bar and stated i didn’t get one, even though i saw it at the machine. So I did again at another register and sure enough it spit it out. I called the manager over and she still stated it didn’t come out, but the manager redid my purchase at her counter and what do you know a rr. That will be my last time having her check me out. And she was so nice to me too.

J August 23, 2011 at 9:56 pm

My sister and I did this deal…The cashier was so shocked she asked me to grab her some and let me do a few transactions :)…It won’t last though…

Debbie August 23, 2011 at 9:56 pm

Hey Guys this works on the Caress bar as well. I just did mind.

adam August 23, 2011 at 10:28 pm

really…i just went to a few stores that were out of dove i wish i knew caress worked.

Jen August 23, 2011 at 10:04 pm

Where do you get the $3 coupon?

Kimmie August 23, 2011 at 11:51 pm

it’s in the weekly sale circular at the front of the store. it’s the part of the ad where it says 99c with the soap picture; there’s a barcode under it. when the cashier scans that it’ll take off $1.00/ea for a total of $3 off.

Kimmie August 23, 2011 at 10:06 pm

So funny… I had just LEFT my WAGS after buying the Crest, and checked this site while I was waiting for the bus. I ran back inside… and yes, missed my bus, but it was worth it!

Kimmie August 23, 2011 at 10:06 pm

oh and PS — yes, it’s working in NYC / New York, NY

melissa August 23, 2011 at 10:33 pm

My sweet lady that I have made friends with at Walgreens let me do two transactions even though her boss had told her to remove the single bars from the shelves. : )

Nancie August 23, 2011 at 10:33 pm

Worked great – Thanks!

Julie August 23, 2011 at 10:43 pm

Love the deal! Thanks for the info on the caress bars of soap!

Grace August 23, 2011 at 11:33 pm

thanks! I did caress since my store ran out of dove and got the RR!

Brent August 23, 2011 at 10:56 pm

Barely worked in Greenfield, IN. I have a coupon nazi cashier and after the transaction I asked for my RR. He did not want to give it to me. Said it wasn’t right and I was stealing. I asked him to call the Store Manager and she told him to give me the RR. There were at least 30 more on the shelf and I was going to do a few more transactions but decided not to push my luck. I will see if the little jerk is working in the morning. If so I will hit up the Wags near my office.

Yeni August 23, 2011 at 11:11 pm

You should report it to corporate

Jennifer August 23, 2011 at 10:59 pm

Mine were all sold out 🙁 I’m going to try a different one in the morning and hope the RR is still printing! Wish I would have known the caress was working- they were still in stock!

michelle August 23, 2011 at 11:00 pm

worked for me. Thanks!

Heather August 23, 2011 at 11:00 pm

Worked twice for my at my favorite Wags! I was so excited about the deal that I called to tell my sister and ended up getting pulled over for talking on the phone and ended up getting a $160 ticket. Booo! I was tempted to ask the officer if I could pay the fine in coupons, but decided against it…This deal turned out costing me more than expected…lol

DeLynne August 24, 2011 at 12:08 am

OUCH! 🙁

Brenda August 24, 2011 at 2:23 am

🙁 so sorry to hear that.

Barbara Norris August 24, 2011 at 1:18 pm

Same thing happened to me the other day I got a $134 ticket that I would not have gotten had I not been out couponing lol

nancy August 23, 2011 at 11:00 pm

Does anyone know if trial size dove works?

deanna August 24, 2011 at 2:15 am

It does not. I accidently picked one up with my other two bars and it did not work. The cashier caught it and voided the transaction and re-rang it with the correct bars.

Curtis Frazier August 23, 2011 at 11:04 pm

I did the deal at 4 different Walgreens. I’ll hit the one at work tomorrow

Dee-Dee August 23, 2011 at 11:26 pm

Got mine!!!!

Janice August 23, 2011 at 11:29 pm

My Walgreens was stocked BUT when I walked up to the register the cashier informed me that this was a glitch in the system and that the RR would be ripped up! 🙁 I am ANGRY

Maria O. August 24, 2011 at 12:23 am

Janice: I was told the same, so I left the store without my deal!! 🙁

Janice August 24, 2011 at 12:31 am

Even if it is a glitch, dove pays the store that $4. It’s not like they are out $4. What gets me is how RUDE he was the second I walked up. I understand if corporate gives them direct orders but he was down right MEAN! I think I’m over Walgreens. NO more couponing there. It’s almost always sour.

Denise August 24, 2011 at 8:36 am

I have the worse luck with couponing at Walgreens. Terrible customer service. They always give me grief when I give them my coupons. Lowest costing filler item is 50cents – most of the times.

Veronica J August 24, 2011 at 8:46 am

Janice, where are you located? I’m in Texas and I got the same response 🙁

SV August 23, 2011 at 11:31 pm

Thank you! I got mine at Riverside, Ca.

Chris August 23, 2011 at 11:45 pm

Worked twice in ft worth!!! Thanks for all your updates and finds! It worked on the caress also, love a great deal now I can go to sleep, lol

maria August 23, 2011 at 11:47 pm

loved it!!!

Aimee August 24, 2011 at 12:00 am

The stores are on to it. Worked in Chicago this evening at the first store without a hitch, but the 2nd store after the $6RR printed the cashier told me he could not give it to me because Corporate told them not to give them out anymore that it a mistake in the computer and he tore it up. Bummer

diana August 24, 2011 at 12:41 am

i got this deal EARLIER today but i tried to do it again but the rr didn’t print … SO I GUESS THEY FIXED IT =(

Andrea August 24, 2011 at 12:57 am

it is almost 12am in minnesota, I just got home about 20 min ago, checked this post, went to the 24 hr walgreens and they had a ton on the shelf, so I bought 6 in two seperate transactions and got 2 $6RRs! Thanks Christie!!

Dealwagger August 24, 2011 at 3:00 am

Thx, Andrea. I’m in MN too now I am more hopeful that it will work in the morning when I hope to try it!

Amanda August 24, 2011 at 1:04 am

I’m in Ohio, and I just tried… it didn’t work 🙁

zora August 24, 2011 at 1:04 am

yep, i got mine too,me and the cashier after ahe “learned” about the deal. My stoer was only open until 12am so we were rushing to get iteams thru so RR would print.
I scored 18 soaps, and DID NOT clear shelfs.
Cashier tried caress, and that worked for her as well.
Thanks for your post!

Sher August 24, 2011 at 1:23 am

Hummm…just got back from 24 hour Walgreens and it didn’t work, no reward printed out with purchase of 3 singles…..it was between 12 & 1AM Wednesday….I wonder if they caught on & the deal was deleted during the reset? I did it on Tuesday afternoon & it worked fine…..I figured it was too good to last very long…..

Tinroofkitty August 24, 2011 at 1:44 am

Christie thank you for posting this. I will go back to the store tommorrow and get my 4 full size degree deodorants as the monthly $4 RR for 4 degree was not working working in TN when I tried to purchase on Sunday. Even if the $4 RR doesn’t print tommorrow they will still be free now.

Thanks for all you do.

Lindsey August 24, 2011 at 1:49 am

I tried mine at 8:30 and it worked. Only could do it once, my WAG is strict about 1 RR deal per person per day (of the same item).

Oh well–once is better than none!

Nellie August 24, 2011 at 1:56 am

Worked for me in Hawthorne, CA. Went to one Walgreens and it worked. Tried another Walgreens and the cashier claimed that the RR machine wasn’t working and I couldn’t get any of my RRs (was trying to get the Huggies deal too). Oh well, $6 RRs is better than nothing.

Jenn August 24, 2011 at 2:27 am

I was able to get nine soaps at three different stores. There were tons at every location. I additionally was able to get cheap Cottonelle toilet paper since I had RR’s already to use on the Dove soaps. I almost waited until tomorrow to try the deal but have been reading on many blogs that it was a glitch and will be fixed tomorrow. I am truely blessed and in this economy, I am very grateful to know how to use coupons.

Brenda August 24, 2011 at 2:28 am

Wow, I have been away from couponing this summer..so busy. This deal hyped me up. I went to my Wallgreens at about 2:00 PST, and there were two other ladies looking for the same deal. 🙂 WOW, for the first time the shelf was full. We were able to do more than one transaction. I bought 9 total, and so loving this. Love the soap, thanks Christie, I’m back in the game now..lol.

Brenda August 24, 2011 at 2:31 am

OH yeah…I also was able to tell a “coupon” shopper about your site. She seemed excited to check it out. I try to mention you as much as I can…So thankful for all your work!!

tinksmagic August 24, 2011 at 2:57 am

I got 2 sets today, the cashier was excited I got the $6RR. My new fav Wags!! (and only 4 mins from my house, how did I not realize they’ve been there over a year now???)
Going back tomorrow to do the Keebler deal once I grab my coupons from the Back to School promotion.
I’ll be using my 2 $6RR in a week at another store, lol, don’t want to be remembered and told I can’t use them after the cashier was so happy they printed! 🙂

jeanna August 24, 2011 at 3:19 am

deal is over we went to walgreens at 1150 did one order got 6 rr then at midnite it did updates and we tryed it after and got nothing

Cremme August 24, 2011 at 5:02 am

I went to four Wags yesterday and the shelves were all cleared! Unfortunately, it wasn’t cleared by customers. The managers pulled all of the products off of the shelves to avoid any confrontation about the supposed glitch/deal. Ah well… you win some, you lose some =o)

Dominic August 24, 2011 at 6:07 am

Is it possible for them to void the 6 dollar rr once theyve been printed?! Probably not right since they have been ripping them?

Bob August 24, 2011 at 8:56 am

Without a doubt since they have all the info on the transaction and which RR was generated (I’ve had RRs voided automatically when I’ve returned merchandise), but the question is if they will go to the effort.

JB August 24, 2011 at 9:00 am

I would think that would be a PR nightmare for WAGS & Dove since many people rolled RRs to get this deal. Also, there was already a Dove RR being printed so would they be able to tell the difference in what item(s) you purchased?

Bob August 24, 2011 at 9:58 am

You’re right on the PR side, but on the transaction side, what prints out on the receipt isn’t as detailed as what they have in their computers.

So… (speaking as a programmer) it would be easy to look for transactions that had 3 single doves or 3 single caresses with no other qualify dove/caresses purchases and void out any $6 dove RR that printed out.

The question becomes if it’s worth the potential PR problem and then is it worth it to dedicate a programmer to this task and then to spend the computer time go through all the transactions across the US for however long this was active.

Of course, if Dove goes ballistic and says they don’t want any part of this deal, that could be another factor.

JB August 24, 2011 at 10:04 am

Good points! Probably better roll those RRs as quickly as I can just in case! LOL

Jeannine August 24, 2011 at 7:44 am

I went when I got off work arounf 11:45pm and it worked. I had done one earlier in the day before work. I’m not a shelf clearer but I found it slightly amusing that my cashier asked me if I was sure I didn’t want to buy more. Maybe she knew it would be reset. Oh well. If it’s been fixed that’s ok. 6 bars of Dove soap to add to my stock is good enough for me.

Steve August 24, 2011 at 8:21 am

Christie,
Is this responsible couponing?

Bob August 24, 2011 at 8:44 am

Is there a reason why it wouldn’t be? Christie is just pointing out a deal that exists (existed?) at Wags. There’s nothing sneaky or dishonest about the deal.

Wags has a number of ways of killing the deal, if they don’t want us to have it and it sounds like some of the stores have started pulling stock off the floor, ripping up RRs, and perhaps a system update has killed the deal overnight.

Steve August 24, 2011 at 5:26 pm

Hmmmmm- taking advantage of a Walgreen’s/ manufacturer ERROR makes it a responsible couponing deal? Then turn around and promote it. Something doesn’t quite sound right there.

Miya August 24, 2011 at 8:32 am

I just went to walgrrens and it didnt work for me.. I check this website everyday. I wish that I would have seen this yesterday. 🙁

britney August 24, 2011 at 8:40 am

The deal worked for me at my Wags, but they were priced at 1.79 each! still free:) BUT…at the Wags by my son’s school, it didnt work 🙁 The cashier said that the system was fixed so it wouldnt trigger a RR.

DeLynne August 24, 2011 at 8:52 am

There’s an in ad coupon for the soap that brings them down to $0.99 each.

I was able to do this deal 3x’s yesterday! Thanks, Christie!! 🙂

Anna m August 24, 2011 at 9:10 am

The cashier didn’t use the in ad coupon on one of my transactions and the manager just returned the difference to me. If you bought them you should have them fix it.

tina P. August 24, 2011 at 12:35 pm

There is an in ad coupon for dove/caress bars .99 each. Take your receipt back in and have it adjusted……. 🙂

Veronica J August 24, 2011 at 8:45 am

I went last night around 9:50 pm and my RR printed but I was told I could not have it because it was a glitch in the system. Darn! So they voided the transaction so I could get the RR I paid with back. Still bummed cause I didn’t get to do the deal. I’m in Texas.

Amy August 24, 2011 at 8:55 am

went to 3 wags last night and did the deal. Got 9 bars at each store and left plenty on the shelf. The cashier was so excited as soon as I finished my transaction she went to grab some dove soap to do the deal herself! Doubled my money by getting 27 bars of soap. Yippee

lolly August 24, 2011 at 9:01 am

Is it still working today? or on the Caress?

TARA August 24, 2011 at 9:03 am

anyone tried this today?

melissa August 24, 2011 at 9:13 am

Deal is Dead!

Tasha August 24, 2011 at 9:24 am

Has anyone tried this in California this morning?

Stacy August 24, 2011 at 9:40 am

Ah man…just got back from my Wags and they had LOTS in stock so I was so excited!! Checked out and no RR…Boo!! Got a refund for the soap and picked up Hot Pockets while I was there so it wasn’t a total bust. But, I can confirm that it looks like the deal is DEAD!

janet August 24, 2011 at 10:14 am

just called my store and they said they pulled them from the shelves because of the incorrect rr printing and if I want to buy them they will rip up the rr ): good thing I bought 3 yesterday. I would of bought more but I thought there was a limit of 3.

Sara August 24, 2011 at 10:17 am

I would very much like to hear if someone tries to use the $6RR and has problems – either with it not being accepted or if it is revoked altogether. I wonder how many of the $6 RRs are out there and if they’re really going to try to capture that information and revoke the RR. Thanks!

Donna Smith August 24, 2011 at 11:00 am

I received the $6 RR yesterday afternoon. At 6:45am this morning I went to Walgreens to pick up some Axe that is on sale. I RR beeped but it seems like all my RR are beeping lately. The cashier hit a button and it went thru. His shift was ending at 7am so I think if it beeped b/c of system not wanting it he pushed it thur anyway and not paid attention. So I dont know.

Penny August 24, 2011 at 10:31 am

Oh No! So sorry…

theresa August 24, 2011 at 10:42 am

Hello there, I went first thing this morning and it DID NOT WORK 🙁 I was so excited to finally get something free as I am new to this couponing and it didnt work 🙁 They must have already figured out the glitch. Thanks so much though for letting me know. Thersea

theresa August 24, 2011 at 10:44 am

WildForWags.com 2011 hello there, is there a website for your blogs that I can follow? Thanks, Theresa

maria August 24, 2011 at 10:52 am

My store should have no problem with revoked RR’s as it is not updated yet. We still have the dinosaur registers. lol I was told the newer registers will/are updated for that kind of stuff in a case of a return it wont let you return a product unless RR is forfeited. So dinosaur stores can be worry-free. lol It’s WAGS fault anyway so they should face up to the consequences.

DeLynne August 24, 2011 at 10:54 am

My husband works the graveyard shift as a Pharmacist for Walgreens and he did this deal for me this morning (approx. 1am MST) and it worked for him! I’m going to try to use my $6RRs today. 🙂

Mirny August 24, 2011 at 10:58 am

Good Morning,

First of all I want to thank Christie for sharing this information with us yesterday. For my family this deal was a gift sent from heaven as my mother is currently recovering from Chemo & radiation and Dove is the only soap her doctors told her to use. As many of us know DOVE is expensive hwen it is not on sale specially for a family living with one paycheck and having a cancer patient in family. I went to six different stores to buy 3 bars at each store and I received the RR for each transaction. Not only did I get the DOVE for free, but also got 6RR to use to buy the ensure and other items that my mother needs.
For the people that take the time not to write a thankful comment for someone that is not being selfish, but caring enough for other to share and let others to take advantage of great deals all I have to say to them IS NOT TO JUDGE PEOPLE THAT DO THREE OR MORE TRANSACTIONS BECAUSE YOU DON’T KNOW THE REASONS WHY WE DO IT.

THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU CHRISTIE!!!!

Janna August 24, 2011 at 11:26 am

Has anyone tried redeeming the $6 RR today? I want to go by Hot Pockets and Cottonlle and I am wondering If I will be able to use my RR?????

axhilli August 24, 2011 at 11:29 am

Why are people assuming they will void the RR somehow Walgreens just had a glitch with Trial size Degree deod and people didn’t have any problem redeeming those RR. I think spreading unnecessary fear in people makes no sense. Walgreens either needs to do a little housekeeping to figure out why they keep having these problems or I’m going to start thinking they do this stuff on purpose to get people in their stores.

Christie August 24, 2011 at 1:03 pm

Good point! Maybe it’s a way to get a whole bunch of FREE on-line advertising and get people into the store. I have no idea, but I can say that I can’t remember a time when people were so excited about Dove, so if it was a genius marketing ploy, I guess it worked. 😉

Sheena August 24, 2011 at 11:41 am

I’m curious on how redeeming the $6RR will be like…I mean there is still a deal in their ad for 3/$18 dove that gives you the $6RR. How does the system distinguish upon redemption how you got your RR? I was able to get the dove bar soap deal yesterday evening in Los Angeles and some of them I used in other transactions last night but I do have some left over for future transactions. If anyone tries using their $6 RR now that the “glitch” is fixed, please share if there were issues upon redemption. THANKS!

JB August 24, 2011 at 2:21 pm

Redeeming the RRs worked just like if you have ever redeemed any other RRs at WAGS. I redeemed 2 at lunchtime and was able to stock up on some t.p. and p.t. Have fun!

Sheena August 24, 2011 at 2:52 pm

Thanks, JB! I was worried that walgreens would see that mine reads the DOVE RR and they will question me or give me a hard time about the “glitch”. I didn’t know if I should hold off on using the RRs right away or use them right away.

Pamela August 24, 2011 at 12:31 pm

what I don’t understand how you got the $6 RR with spending only $2.97 because the add said buy $18 of Dove products then get the $6RR so unless you buy $18 of the bar of soap you shouldn’t get the $6RR.Can you explain this.Except it was a mistake in the machine.

Christie August 24, 2011 at 12:59 pm

Pamela – I have no idea. I don’t work for Walgreens and I don’t know why it was printing. I just report what I find.

Just like when items are on clearance or free after Register Rewards or ring up a different price that what is on the shelf – I have no idea why in those cases either.

Steve August 24, 2011 at 5:32 pm

Yes- But,
Once you find out that it was an error you should have taken responsibility and not continue to allow it to be promoted on YOUR website. While I appreciate a great deal I just feel some restraint was in order especially when you are told it was error.

Heather August 24, 2011 at 11:47 pm

I went to Walgreens yesterday for other reasons and deliberately did not try this deal because, after reading the comments to this post, I felt like it was stealing to take advantage of a deal Walgreens couldn’t fix until their midnight update. Just because you CAN do a deal doesn’t mean you SHOULD. Saying we should do this deal because it’s Walgreen’s fault for having a glitch is like saying it’s okay to steal my purse if I accidentally leave it in the shopping cart.

Barb August 25, 2011 at 12:23 am

I did this deal and I don’t appreciate being called a theif.

Lisa August 25, 2011 at 12:26 am

This is a very slippery slope. There are people who use Register Rewards at other stores. Is that stealing too?

Melba August 25, 2011 at 12:14 am

Really?

jessy August 24, 2011 at 1:16 pm

Has anyone tried this in the northwest arkansas area? Im so excitied but I just saw this post and wondered if it was still working here?

Barbara Norris August 24, 2011 at 1:25 pm

Jessy its not working anywhere anymore walgreens fixed it

This most certainly is responsible couponing – Nothing wrong about it – Walgreens should make sure their systems are properly working or switched to a more advanced system like CVS has to make sure this does not happen – As I read at some stores the managers took all the soaps off the shelf and other places they ripped up the catalina (although if they ripped up my catalina i would make them refund my soap)

At my store the lady was like go get some more while you can and told me on her break she was gonna get some herself

Steve August 24, 2011 at 5:40 pm

Barbara,
You most certainly are entitled to your opinion. I was just posing the question to Christie to ask for her response. I personally did not think it was. I was aware of the current Dove deal being advertised and how this had to be a conflict/ error in conjunction with that deal- sorry for voicing my opinion.

Choua August 24, 2011 at 1:57 pm

BOO!! I JUSt went to tried it at my walgreen it’s no LONGER working. They must have caught it already…..

kim August 24, 2011 at 1:58 pm

This was an awesome deal! It was excitied to see the catalina print! My husband could not believe it when I told him about the deal. Thanks for sharing! Great site!

Deborah Clements August 24, 2011 at 2:29 pm

It was not printing any Rr for dove soap today. The sales clerk had a box full of coupons and used 2 .50 coupons giving me 1.00 off the price of the three.

Kay August 24, 2011 at 2:41 pm

Has anyone tried using the 6$ RR today.

DeLynne August 24, 2011 at 3:53 pm

I did! I just got back from Walgreens and I used 4 $6RRs ($24 total) and not a single one beeped. I was so nervous they would, too, but relieved that they didn’t. 🙂

Jenn August 24, 2011 at 4:23 pm

I one of my $6 RR today for toothpaste and toilet paper. It was accepted but the cashier did ask how many Dove I bought to get it. I said 3. Now I know it will work I’m saving my other $6 RR for next week. But they are working

Krystal August 24, 2011 at 2:44 pm

I used mine today to buy the Lysol soap dispenser…worked great 🙂

Dianne August 24, 2011 at 4:03 pm

Just curious – why would the $6 RR beep when u went to use it?

C.D. August 24, 2011 at 7:41 pm

After I saw your post yesterday, went to Walgreens and was able to do two transactions and get $12 in RR. Went back to Walgreens at Midnight and it was not working anymore.

Susan August 24, 2011 at 10:49 pm

I used 2 of the $6 RR rewards today with no problem at all.

I also took my 4 bags to the nicest food pantry. It is in Plano, TX and called Minnie’s. I met the woman who runs it and she gave me a tour. It is only 5 minutes from my house. I will be volunteering there at least one morning a month.

Thanks Christie for all of your work. I have only been couponing since April and have a closet full of stuff. I have given lots away to family members and now will be donating at this food pantry on a regular basis. And there is plenty left for my family.
