Wal-Fex Display With $1 Coupon

by Christie Bisbee on June 13, 2011

For those of you who were lucky enough to actually find the 5ct Wal-Fex at your store (I was not), I wanted to give you some other tips for finding the flyer with the $1/1 Wal-Fex, any coupon on the back. Not only did I find it in pharmacy (near where they keep the Diabetes & You magazine) I also have been finding it as part of this display for the 30ct Wal-Fex.

Yes, the irony – there was tons of 30ct Wal-Fex in my stores, and tons of coupons, but not a single 5ct to be found… coincidence?! Anyway, enough of my conspiracy theories… if you spot this display in your store look to see if the flyer is included (where my lovely red arrow is pointing). It just looks like an advertisement on the front but it’s got the coupon on the back. If you find it (and the Wal-fex in the 5ct) you can…

Get $4 RR WYB Wal-Fex 24 Hour Allergy Relief 5ct $3.99
-$1/1 Wal-Fex 24 Hour, Any Walgreens Allergy Booklet found in pharmacy (2092)
= $1 MONEY MAKER

We had the five count, but our allergy booklets had coupons for Wal-Zyr and something else not Wal-Fex.

Our coupon book didn’t have that coupon either. It was for Wal-Zyr.

I always have better luck at one of my stores that are not open 24 hours. They had a nice supply whereas the one that was open 24 hours was out.

There is one walgreen by me that never seems to have any of rr deals for the week on the shelves!

They were in short supply but, the code(2092) works fine if they don’t ask to see the actual coupon.

Awesome! I went today and was told that they only ordered 5 so I’m sure they sold out very quickly but I will go back on Weds.when the order comes in.

Something needs to be done about Walgreens never having the register reward deals. It doesn’t seem to matter when I go, they are out of the items. You can get a raincheck but you will not get the RR coupon. That is not fair! I think they deliberately underorder the items so they don’t have to give out the RR’s. They have you in the store so they figure you will purchase something while you are there.
I am digusted with Walgreens and corporate doesn’t seem to care.
If they lost customers in droves, maybe they would wake up and treat the customer right.

It’s not all corporate’s fault. I had a chat with my Walgreens manager about all the free products being completely sold out every Sunday morning. She told me that she has figured out who is clearing the shelves and how they are doing it. She said that this person is coming in on Saturday and hiding the products behind other products in the store. The manager saw her hide the only 6 Wal-Fex allergy packets they had behind the Centrum Silver. She was planning on confronting this person when they came into the store today. It’s disgusting that people are so greedy and selfish that they would do something like that. The manager was very nice and said they are currently ordering the max amount of items that they are allowed whenever she sees a sale coming up. She also told me if something is out of stock to request a raincheck and they will adjust the price for the register rewards.

Yes I believe others probably do hide things because I found some of the Bayer behind some vitamins one time on accident–there were about 6 bottles of the stuff hidden! Wouldnt put it past people! Just like I found one woman pulling off all the ‘instant’ stickers that was attached to each bottle of advil yesterday!

Oh quit crying. That is definitely not our intention and I’m honestly disgusted that you think that!!

I got to Wags when the store opened Sunday and there were only 7 of the 5 count in the store. Luckily I got one, and so did the other early birds, no other store in our area carried them..

Didn’t find the coupon, but they had they product in stock when I went in around noon. I just feel lucky that my area isn’t having as many problems as some others have been.

Don’t they have a $3 off Walfex (excludes 5 cnt) in the June Booklet. I find it funny that they didn’t show the “$3 less coupon” price that they usually do instead they have the display with the $1 cpn.

I agree with “Skizzatt” – the stores in NW IN never have the sale items – even if I go Sunday after church. They didn’t get any of the 5 tablet Wal-Fex in. Then they tell you it might come in later in the week. I don’t know where Jane lives, but the managers in our area will not adjust the price to compensate for the RR you’re not getting. I didn’t understand what “guest” meant about not someones intention. I’ve written/called Walgreens and nothing changes.

I don’t know where Jane lives, but our managers will not adjust the price to include the RR on a raincheck. I fully agree with what “Skizzatt” wrote about Walgreens. The stores in NW IN didn’t get in the 5 tablet Wal-Fex. I have to idea what “guest” meant about not our intention and being disgusted. I often shop after church on Sunday and rarely are the sale items available. With the price of gas, it isn’t worth the trip back later in the week.

I’ve got a question on the $4 RR that prints from the Wal-Fex purchase. Since this is a generic Walgreen’s product, the RR doesn’t say “presented by .” To my knowledge, it just says that you get $4 off of your next purchase and has an expiration date. Would this be one of the mythical “self-rolling” RRs then? Meaning, you can use this $4 RR and if you purchased another 5-count Wal-Fex box it would continue to print the $4 RR?

Anyone know? If this isn’t “self-rolling,” what’s a scenario where something would be self-rolling?

Thanks!

I never shop on Sundays, and since my store is usually out of the good deals by Monday, I head on over on Thursdays which is when the truck comes in.

Our manager is really good about trying to order enough stock, but on occasion (like with the Reach toothbrushes) he can’t get enough in, and what he does get is gone before it’s on the shelves (Yes, with the toothbrushes people were swiping them out of the crates and off the carts as employees were restocking). I figure I win some, I lose some.

Ironically, we had about 7 of the wal-fex 5 ct, but no 30 ct, and no $1 coupons.
