Well, some unfortunate news on the Hershey’s Register Reward deal. Walgreens has issued an apology for a mistake by the printer on this deal. The apology reads…
We Apologize
In this week’s ad we are advertising Hershey’s Easter Candy 8 to 10oz.
Due to a printer’s error the Register Reward offer is incorrect. The correct offer is:
Get $5 Register Rewards at checkout WYB $10+ of participating Hershey’s products
– Good on you NEXT HERSHEY’S PURCHASE
So basically you’d be looking at this…
BUY
(5) Whoppers $1.50 Each
(1) Kisses, Reese’s or Miniatures $2.50
Total = $10
(2) -$1/3 Hershey’s Kisses, Reese’s, Hershey’s Miniatures, Cadbury or Whoppers, any 8 oz bags+- 02-27-11 SS x4/2
=$8, Get $5 to spend on more Hershey’s Candy
So, anyone else think it’s time for Walgreens to get a new printer? First the Vicks signs, now the Hershey’s deal… hmmm.
(Thanks so much Rashelle!)

We ship the Wags ads and if the “printer” is as inaccurate as the logistics department, 90% of the ad would incorrect every week. It sad that folks just can’t get it right! I know plenty of good workers out there that need a job and can do it right. Oh well, guess I can’t complain too much, I’m still getting great deals at Wags each week.
NEXT HERSHEY PURCHASE…..bummer. Thank you for letting us know.
Guess you could turn around and buy 2 more bags of kisses for $5 and use the rr. Would end up with 8 bags of candy for $8. Not bad if you need the Easter candy.
I was just going to write about this, my wags store Asst. Manager fixed the error and gave me a $5 wags gift card for the error when I pointed it out to her. She must now be aware of the issue yet..
Maybe you just need a hershey item on the next purchase not over $5.
I had just called Corp regarding this message. Donna from customer service told me to have people and make them aware of this. So far no one has called them to make them aware. They will try to help you and POSSIBLY GIVE YOU THE CORRECT Register Reward. They really would like to know so they can correct this. Thanks
A little off topic, but it’s a sore spot for me – it probably isn’t “the printer” that’s causing these errors. I work in the pre press department of a commercial printer – and we print the grocery ads for several major chains (so we are “the printer”) but we don’t do the layout or artwork – that comes from another vendor. So if it was blurry or crooked or trimmed funny, that’s be “the printer”. But if they give away chocolate RR by accident – that’s the layout staff and proofreader.
Exactly Susan, but “us little people” might not understand that. My husband worked in marketing for years and I was pretty sure the graphic designer and proof reader were getting a butt chewing at Wags… Either way… Great deal on chocolate.
Back to the signs from Sinex. The display boxes that had the ‘wrong’ date on them along with the signage are all sent from the manufacturer, they are NOT created by Wags.
So, on the other hand… Wags/manufacturers paid me a ton of money to try the merchandise I purchased this week. I think I will cut them some slack. : )
I still have 3 3RR from the twizzler deal. The ones that say $3 off any one purchase of Hershey Easter Candy. I’m gonna use those today.
Ohh – Thanks for the reminder, I still have one of those left too! 🙂
That is really big public mistake I hope someone does not lose their job over it
Yeah, I’m bummed because I just did this deal this morning and was unpleasantly surprised to get the $5 RR for only Hershey. I really don’t need more chocolate after I just bought 7 bags! I talked to the manager, but she said she couldn’t do anything about it. Boo!
How about this for your “next Hershey purchase”:
Hershey king size are 5/$5.
Get 5 Hershey or Reese’s king size = $5.
Use (2) B1G1 Drops or Rese’s minis King size FREE ($1 value) from 2/27 SS exp 3/30.
That’s seven king size bars FREE! (p.s. These make great teacher gifts.)
i did this deal this morning (my store had no signs up correcting the mistake…. i got a $5 off any hershey’s purchase mq…. when i asked the manager about it he had no idea why it did that and printed me a $5 rr from another deal and let me keep the $5 hersheys q, so i guess i can take the $5 hershey’s to wm & buy a single candy bar for less than $.50 and get the overage 🙂
@Jolene or you could do the honest thing and throw away that coupon or give it back to the store.
That’s $4.50 in overage if you take it to walmart! It does meet even the newest catalina coupon guidelines…
