FREE or Super Cheap Vicks Vapo Drops!

by Christie Bisbee on January 17, 2011

If you’ve been wondering what to do with all those $1/1 Vicks coupons, here is an idea for you!

You can use them to get FREE or super cheap Vicks Vapo Drops 20ct.  I found these by the front of my store by the cash register.

If your store follows the coupon policy then each coupon can be adjusted to make them FREE. However if they don’t, here’s another idea ….

Buy
5 – Vicks Vapo Drops 2/$1.79
Total = $4.48
Use
4-$1/1 Vicks Product, Any – 12-26-10 PG x1/31 OR 01-16-11 PG x2/28
Total = $.48 for (5) or $.10 EACH

If you are wondering these don’t work for the RR deal (you know I would try. 😉 ) P&G coupons limit you to 4 coupons per transaction, but since we have time to do this deal you can pick up some up each time you shop.

Hi Christie-I used mine on Puffs with Vicks and they went through fine at Walgreen’s and at Publix and Winn Dixie.

Is this deal listed in the ad anywhere so we can price match at another store?
My Walgreens will not adjust down even a penny.

My store no longer carries the Puffs with Vicks. 🙁

Does anyone know if Target carries these? My Walgreens won’t adjust the coupon down.

If your store doesn’t adjust the coupon down you can get them for $.10 each using the scenario I gave.

I didn’t realize that this $1 coupon could be used on Puffs w/Vicks. Is that REALLY considered to be a Vicks product? Hate to get to the register only to be turned away or have Wags not get reimbursed… Kind of like the Dawn Hand Renewal with Olay Beauty; I wouldn’t use an Olay coupon on that.

Christie, do you have thoughts on this one?

I used 2 of these Q’s today while also buying $20 worth of NyQuil, Sinex, etc. I found that if you’re buying other Vicks products in your order, your $1/1 Q’s for the VapoDrops won’t beep. I think the overage is absorbed in the other Vicks items. Works for me every time. But if I use them without any other Vicks products and try to buy 2, the first Q will go through and then the 2nd one will beep. Just a thought if anyone else wants a little overage and not have to deal with the will they/won’t they adjust the Q. 🙂

The store managers at Winn, Publix and Walgreens all said it is a Vicks item since it has Vicks included in it and nothing beeped so I was ok with it.

Where are these located in your stores? I cannot find them in mine. Thanks.

They were at the front register by checkout.

Christie, I’m not sure your scenario is correct. 5 Vicks Drops would not total $4.48, it would total $4.57. You would ring up 4 @ $0.90, but the 5th one is going to ring up $0.99, because the price is *2* for $1.79, or $0.99 for one. If I’m incorrect on this please let me know.

Hi Bhrngari – I’m looking at my receipt. Only the first one rings up at $.99, the second at $.80, then from that point forward (they alternate between) – $.90, $.89, $.90 and so on. I know it’s bizarre but that’s how they do it. Once you have bought the first one, no other one will be $.99. So it will be $4.48. Hope that helps!

I really want to get these cough drops or the Puffs with Vicks with these coupons. I have a bunch of them. But I can’t find either product at Wags or Rite Aid. Gonna try my grocers or the WalMart.

Where is this product? I tried last night at WAGS with all the cough drops and all the Vicks products on the medicine aisle. No one could find them. Thanks!
