Do you think we can use 2 $3/1 coupons on the Nivea and make is a $5 MM?

Rosy October 16, 2010 at 9:01 am

Same question as above?

Sarah N October 16, 2010 at 9:11 am

I don’t see why not. Majority of people just don’t have the coupons until tomorrow.

You can’t get overage with a MQ at Wags so it’ll be adjusted down to $2.50 each. So you’d have a $4 Money Maker. So if you had a bunch of those you could do it if you wanted.

YOU CAN USE THE $2.00 COUPON INSIDE OF THE NOXEMA RAZORS ON THE TRIPLE BLADE PACKAGES ALSO.MAKES FOR A NICE $1.01 PROFIT LESS SALES TAX.

Be careful when using the coupon from inside the package. One side is the coupon and on the other side is the scan bar for the product. You maybe want to draw X off the side that has the bar code for the product. I was looking at my receipts from earlier this week and on both occasions that I used the coupon I was charged for another package of razors. So I paid $2 more for the package I bought and $4 for the package that I didn’t get.

That happened to me yesterday.Luckily I caught it.

Hello Hello and thanks in advace for all the hard work you do each week!! I do want to share that I just went to do the reach dental floss magic and I got the store in a tizzy to say the least! Normally I dont have any major problems but boy did I today! The register would not minus the $2 coupon x2 therefore $4 …when the manager came…very annoyed….he told me it is because walgreens will not pay me (MM) to buy a free product so it only took of $2 regardless of me buying 2 with the BOGOF COUPON! So I left actually getting them free and having to pay for the hair clips that I added in to absorbe the the money maker ;-( I was so bummed but just a fyi maybe your store is programmed differently…did you have any issues??? thanks

I went around 11:30 and it was still ringing up 4.50 at my store as well in the Chicagoland area. Does anyone know what time they switch? I have to leave to go somewhere at 5:30, so I am hoping before that, since I went out to Menards and bought papers early to do it.

My store is programmed to start everything for Sunday’s new ad on Saturday except items that trigger a RR. This means all sale prices, BOGO deals, and in-ad coupons always start on Saturday. I’m glad you highlighted the mens Nivea deal today because it’s good for everyone to know that there are always great overlapping deals. I also always shop on the last day of a “coupon book” fiscal month,(Sat) because there are usually good deals starting that coming week that will already be in the system and it gives me one overlapping day to use the monthly coupon book. Try to find out from your local store when their deals are programmed to start, because shopping on Saturday for me has been a huge blessing. Then I don’t have to rush out first thing Sunday morning to beat all of the shelf-clearers. I still go later on Sunday’s for the RR deals, of course! Thanks again for all of your hard work, Christie 🙂

Just went to my local Wags.. Nivea rang up for $2/5 and produced the RR. Cashier said that usually between 5 and 6 on Saturday both sales are running.

so is the neutrogena b1g1 50%off still on today?

Reply

Chitra October 16, 2010 at 8:02 pm

Thanks Christie. Here in Southern California, the deal is working fine. I bought 3 for 2.50 each and used 2 3$ Qs (since I always have issues if the Q is higher than the product) and used 1$ RR from the halls deal to buy it for just tax and got the 4$ RR.

Gina October 16, 2010 at 8:14 pm

Thanks a lot!! I was able to score the MM nivea deal only because of you.

Reply

Rosy October 16, 2010 at 8:39 pm

I went and they would not adjust the coupon to 2.50 they said that would be coupon fraud 🙁

Reply

Christie October 16, 2010 at 9:12 pm

Rosy – It’s in their coupon policy to do it, which you can see HERE. (Or on the top of my tool bar under FAQ). Call corporate and complain that your store doesn’t even know it’s own policy.

Thanks Christie for all your deals and hardwork you do to help us out with scenarios etc…Much appreciated. 🙂

Rosy- I was told the same thing regarding the $3MQ. 🙁 Well, I was told that the “manager on duty” had only been there a week and they didn’t know how to adjust the coupon down without it being coupon fraud. I even pulled up their website on my phone and showed them their coupon policy. The lady said, “I believe you but I just don’t know how to handle adjusting it down”
I was told that the “other manager” would be there any moment. I waited 30 minutes and he/she never showed, so I left without my nivea.
But I did stop at another store at someones suggestion bought 3 for $7.50 and used two of the $3MQ with no problems.Total oop $1.50 plus tax and got a $4RR back.

I went this morning to take advantage of the $3 off coupons that came in RP today. I bought 2 Nivea, a pack of 35 cent gum and paid with 2 $3 off coupons and a 3RR from Gillette. Total after tax was 96 cents and I got back a 4RR.

Tonight I went and did the same transaction at 7:10pm.
Then I went through the line again at 7:15 and the new prices had taken effect. I couldn’t use 2 $3 off anymore…it beeped. So instead I paid with a $3 coupon, a $1 coupon and a 1RR from halls. That total was 70 cents and I got back a 4RR. Did that a couple times and also got some of the women’s nivea since it was ringing up 2/$5 as well…used the $2 from All you.

I went late afternoon and Nivea scanned 2/$5 plus I got an $4 RR. But when i used the Noxzema coupon(packed with Razor) towards my second transaction, it charged me for another razor pack. I didnt notice it untill I got home. I called up the wags manager and she said just bring in the product and receipt and she will do a refund. Also at my wags they have removed the Clerance section completly and when i asked the cashier said it will be back in FEB 2011…. are you serious???

Reply

Guest October 16, 2010 at 11:45 pm

@Lacey How can they just remove the clearance section? Where do clearance items go? Must be a small store or something..

and my Wags usually changes at 7pm on the dot.

As far as in-ad coupons working on saturday, the person who said that was wrong.

The new weekly ads at my store don’t kick in until AT LEAST 4am Sunday. Thankfully RR always start printing by 12:20.

I already emailed corporate because he was so rude using his FRAUD word all loud and there were at least 5 people behind me. I felt like a criminal. 🙁

Did 2 Nivea body lotion transactions today but no $4.00 rr. I am I missing something?

Doug – These were Saturday Only Money Makers. They are no longer valid. Now you’ll get the Nivea FREE but it was only a money maker yesterday.

@ Guest I was so surprised when the cashier told me that they have removed the clearance section. Instead they have put winters stuff like caps, gloves, scarf..Its a good size store. Even the glade products weren’t on clearance. So i guess this WA store doesnt follow the general Wags trends…

I read the comments around 11:20 p.m., so went to walgreens and was able to get in on the money maker, with the nivea body wash. On Sunday, had some problems at one of my walgreens with the $3 coupon, one assistant manager said they don’t do price modification, so I showed him the coupon policy and it clearly states adjusting the price. Of course, he didn’t like it, so he only allowed me to get 2 nivea body washes, when someone had been there earlier and cleared off the shelfs. Don’t get it, how is it that managers are so naive and don’t even now there own store policy??
