Here’s an AWESOME deal that you can do this week and guess what? No coupons needed! Remember the Nestle month long Register Reward deal I wrote about HERE? Well there is an in ad Q this week that makes these a fabulous deal.
Buy
4 Lean Pockets $2.99 each
3 Hot Pockets $2.99 each
Total = $20.93
Use
In Ad Q for Lean/Hot Pockets (Takes off $10.43)
Total = $10.50, Get Back $5 RR
= $5.50 for everything or $.78 Each!
You can also do this deal with the Stouffers Entrees that also work with the in-ad coupon like the mac ‘n cheese! Just make sure your total is equal to $20 before the in ad coupon and the Register Reward will print! I guess you know what we’re eating for lunch this week. 🙂
(Thanks so much to reader Ali for letting us know about this fabulous deal!)

Don’t forget, if you get the Stouffers Mac-n-Cheese, enter those codes into the Stouffers Dinner Club (http://dinnerclub.stouffers.com/index.tbapp)
This is great, my daughter wanted to get some hot pockets last time we went grocery shopping!!! Thanks
Can you explain why the coupon takes off $10.43? Seems like an odd amount. You dont need to get an even amount of items?
It says limit 4 in the add. Is limit 4 per variety ? or As long as the cashier doesn’t say anything the coupon will autodeduct the correct amount ?
Please advise,
Thanks…
Ok, I figured out the $10.43, but I thought you would have to get 2 (or even amounts) for it to work. It will take off for that 7th one also?
Donna – The register will deduct the right amount even it was 7 of the same variety. The register never imposes the limits that are in the in ad coupons. If your cashier is super difficult than getting a mix of items is probably the way to go.
Sheri – If there is no in ad coupon involved and the price is 2/$3 it’s very possible that one would ring up like $2 and the other $1 or something like that. When it’s an in ad coupon situation, the in ad coupon just takes off the amount needed to make each package the sale price. So no worries. You can buy 7 and it will take off the correct amount for each. I did it last night and plan to go to a different store and buy some more!
Sweet! Now I know what to use my expiring RRs on!
nice deal, thanks!
yes, it’s limit 4, but my manager at Wags did it for me anyways.
Since each Walgreens manager can do as they please it is possible that you could be refused, just like it’s possible I can win the lottery. 🙂
In my years of Walgreens shoppingI have never had a single transaction where a cashier limited an IVC coupon. The register will accept it, take off for each item and it will not beep. The day it happens, I’ll buy a lotto ticket. 😉
Has anyone tried it in the test markets? I am wondering if this won’t work because it will instantly be $10.50 for 7 (no coupons needed) and will never hit the $20 mark needed for the RR.
Heidi – My guess is you would have to buy 2x as many, Eeek! That’s a lot of hot pockets!
I just tried this and it didn’t work. Bought 7 hot pockets and didn’t uget 55 RR. Showed manager in coupon booklet said I spent $21, but he said I only spent $10.50 noy the $20 – said it had to be after all coupons.
Thanks Christie. I think I will wait and see if anyone else tries it. You’re right that’s a lot of hot pockets, I don’t think I’d have room in my freezer!
Worked for me. I have seven hot pockets in my freezer. Thanks, Christie, for all your good, hard work.
Cobi – Sorry it didn’t work for you. I did it again today at a different store so I can’t really say why it didn’t work for you. Perhaps some stores have it programmed differently.
Can I use my P&G($1)and Dial($3)RR on this deal and still get the $5 RR?
Sheila – Do you mean to pay? Yes, I paid with like 4 RR. Since there were no coupons I could use up to 7 RR. Just don’t pay with a $5 RR from Nestle if you have one. 🙂
Thanks Christie for posting this great deal!
Thank you Christie for all the wonderful deals you post. I did this deal to see if it would work and when it did, went grabbed seven more. I was happy to see that my store had tons of these in stock.
I have a interesting story, last night I went to Wags did two transactions with Hot Pockets. First transaction bought 7 Hot Pockets and 1 gallon milk had in add q for hot pockets and I used a $4 RR but I wasn’t paying attention and the total was $19 and some cents I didn’t notice this until after I left the regrester. I think the add q wasn’t taken off, this is were it goes down hill, I then was looking for my receipt to see if add q was taken off and I hadn’t left the story yet, and sure enough my receipt was no where to be found I looked every where, I did get the $5RR and some other unimportant stuff the mashine spit out. So I asked the cashier if she gave me my receipt and “of corse I did because I gave you your RR” I looked everywhere pulled every Hot Pocket out of the bag, looked in my purse and nothing. So then I asked can you ring up the merchandice again so I can get a receipt and she said I have to get a manager. He got there and said I can’t do that, I said why not you have the check I used to pay for it so you know how much money I spent. He said can’t do that because you don’t have a receipt, then I asked can you look at servalance cameras to see what happened to my receipt so he said he could, I waited for about 10 mins and he came back and said he was denied access to the cameras and there was nothing he could do. Anyone have any suggestions on how I could get my receipt?
That is bizarre! My stores all have this little sign that says if you don’t get your receipt you get $5! I’d call corporate and talk to them about it for sure.
Thank you Christy for this awesome deal, I did it yesterday ad it worked, and there is a 1.00/2 coupon for hot pockets in the sep. All You magazine…….$4.50 for 7 hot pockets, not bad. thanks again.
I’m in the test market (KC) and the deal worked for me yesterday.
I was skeptical. Bought 7, got the $5RR!
Sweet~
Yeah! That’s awesome!
shelly,
managers have a way to look up reseipts. i would call and ask for the store manager. you have to know what register you went to, anout what time you were there and about houw much you spent. they have done it for me before and my old store manager has done it for other customers as well.
Also, i found a 1.00/1 off side shots which also works for this deal. I bought the side shots, calzones and hot pockets last night, paid 10.77 with tax and got my 5.00 back.
Nada, Thanks for testing it out and sharing. I think I’ll go tomorrow and try it!
Nada, I’m also in a test market (OR). Thanks for letting us know it worked for you. Now, I’ll try this deal also.
I called corporate and the woman said that the manager was wrong and that I should have gotten a receipt. She asked me the name of the cashier and the manager, I only remembered the cashier, and she wanted the location of the store, I gave her the location. She said
they would call me back in two days to tell me how they where going to correct it, she was very nice and completely sided with me. I feel pretty positve that this might get fixed. Thank you Christie and I appreciate all the work you do thanks again!!
Shelly
Hi, Tonight I picked up 6 hot pockets and one stouffer’s macaroni and cheese. I used 2 of the $1.00 off hot pockets sideshots coupons (facebook?) and the Walgreen’s store coupon and had no problems. No beeps, going over 4 item limit wasn’t a problem and the RR printed. I’m happy. Except the calzones fly off the shelves so I couldn’t get any of those; haven’t tried them yet, must be good. I am in South Dakota. Thanks for all you do!
