the 1.50 one is still going. I accidentally did this deal instead of the 48 count- theat’s why my IVC/ and weekly coupin wouldn’t work but I still can’t figure out why my Listerine failed. Will try again with FF discount tough.

I bouth the benedryl on sunday and did not recieve a rr..When does this start??

8-1 thru 8-28. It’s only the 24ct not the 48ct.

The $4/2 resets every so often so I would check back. Print the $1.50/1 while you can! I posted the $4/2 last week and again on Sunday, so hopefully many of you got it then. Sadly, coupons don’t stay around long sometimes so print it when you see it not when you need it.

Oh glad that you found the RR sign, I saw the deal posted on another site and asked her where she saw it and she said its in next weeks ad so I wasn’t sure if it was a monthly or weekly deal

Glad to know its monthly!!!

I got really excited when I saw this deal but, the RR didn’t print for mine either. Oh well…guess I’ll be returning.

I’ll have to add this to my list! Good thing I printed when I saw it!! Only bought a few things yesterday –
2 Kelloggs Special K cereals, each box came to 2.12. Used a $1/2 peelie that was on the box. Bought dh some glucerna can shakes, those came to $5.09 and used $3 IP & 2 cpn from walgreens diabetic booklets, so 2 for 5.18. And 1 Skintimate Cream, 3.39 w/discount less 1.70 from in-ad q and used a .75/1 cpn, so .94.

And the Listerine…the ad cpn wouldn’t scan, neither would the IVC. Cashier wound up price modifying the $2 off the reg price, making it 3.22 after the discount. [5.79-2 = 3.79*.85] Tried the IVC again…nope. Manager said I’d have to pick, so I told him I thought the ad q gives you the sale price w/out having to use a card (like cvs) and that I could then use a qpn from the easysaver. He looked at me like I had a third head, then hummed for a second and said but then you can’t use a manf coupon AND the easysaver, since the easysaver IS a manf coupon. I said OK. So he takes it down another $2 and the 15% comes off that [3.79-2=1.79*.85] for $1.51…after he left, the cashier scanned my $1/1 manf coupon anyway, so I paid .51 for the bottle!!!

NOT trying that again, even though I’d love to get a few more bottles.. Wonder why the ad & IVC coupons aren’t scanning??

The Listerine one wouldn’t work at my store either, didn’t try the Benedryl yesterday, but will today – I’d rather do this deal with the RR anyway! 🙂 Thanks!!!!

wouldn’t the visine be a MM after the 15% off 3.99
(after 15%F&F 3.39)
– 2in-ad coupon
– 2ivc coupon
.61MM ?

Gwen it would actually be $3.39 (- $1.70 in ad coupon) (-$2 booklet coupon) so $.31 MM. In-ad coupons will adjust down by 15% but booklet coupons won’t.

I did the Listerine deal yesterday. It worked for me…however…the in-ad coupon would not scan at all…so the manager ended up adjusting the price of the product down by $2 for me. My $6.99 +tax Listerine ended up costing me $.88 with tax. I was only able to use the F&F discount on one transaction since I had to do separate transactions for the deal.

Here’s what I bought (multiple transactions):

4 Listerine Whitening
1 Listerine Total
1 Complete Multipurpose Solution
2 Alive Multi-Vitamins
1 48 ct Benadryl
2 Visine Eye Drops
4 Penway carry-all pockets
2 Penway 8 ct Jumbo Crayons (that in-ad coupon wouldn’t scan either)

Total before coupons $195.31
Out of Pocket $29.49
Plus an $8RR for my next visit
Total Savings $173.82
Woo! Hoo!

I just tried this– I bought the exact one in the picture and no RR printed– I’ll probably just take it back- oh well

Am I mistaken in thinking that you can also use the $3 coupon for Benadryl Allergy Relief (48ct)from Walgreens August Coupon Book along with the 15% friends and family and the $4/2?

Reply

Tiffany August 3, 2010 at 4:26 pm

Nevermind. I figured it out

Reply

Kim August 3, 2010 at 4:34 pm

Tiffany,

I did that today. I bought two of the 48-count Benedryl, two Penway pencil packs, one Crayola 24-count crayon box, one Crayola 20-count marker set, and three Reese’s cups. The whole thing cost me .27 OOP, and I got a $1 RR and will get $3 back from the Crayola rebate!

(I used the $4/2 Benedryl, the $3 IVC Benedryl coupon, and one $5 Gillette RR to get the total down to that.)

Oh, I used my Friend and Family coupon too!

I had a $3/2 walgreen’s benedryl coupon that I found in Walgreen’s a few weeks back near the pharmacy I stacked it with the $4/2 so my oop was $1.58 and I scored the $5 RR !!!

I tried the Benadryl deal and it didn’t work out for me the way it should have. My local Wags, (only 1 in town) is very coupon unfriendly, especially their evening staff. I’ve gone in a few times and gotten a friendly cashier, but not often. They will only take the Manufacturers Q and one Wags, they won’t take one from their add and then one from their monthly book. They also are always trying to get me to give the Wags Q first and then the M.Q. I always read to do it the other way around. I’m starting to rethink my shopping there. I’ll keep reading and see if I can find a better way to do things.

I tried the Listerine deal and was told I couldn’t use 2 Walgreen’s coupons.

I did the Benadryl 24 ct. and found a package (ultratabs) with $10.50 in coupons plus a save $1 now (which I didn’t use b/c I had a $4/2). There was also a mail-in form for a free first aid kit with $15 in coupons when you buy 3 Band-Aid, Neosporin, J&J Red Cross, Bengay, Benadryl or Cortaid products. The ultratabs were $4.99 at my store, but so were the other types.
