I’m excited for this 4 day ad, but I can’t tell if my area is participating or not. I’m outside of Tacoma, Wa.
Will that dove rr print even thoughthey will be onsale for 2.00?
I am seriously wondering if that will work, Amy. The RR deal just says the deodorant has to be 2.6 ounces, and the ones in the coupon do include some 2.6 ounce varieties. How cool would that be?
They aren’t ‘on sale’ for $1.99. Its an in ad Q that makes it $1.99. So the $7.04 will not come off until the end when you scan it. So, in theory, you would be spending $15 triggering the RR then you would have $15.04 in coupons.
If you want to know if your store is participating, I suggest calling and asking. Or you may get a flyer in your newspaper tomorrow. Or you can try going to walgreens.com tomorrow and click on weekly ad under your zip code to see if it comes up.
As for the Dove, at my stores there aren’t any signs that indicate that Dove is part of the deal but this is Walgreens so you never know. As soon as I hear something I’ll let you know!
Just out of curiosity, what exactly happens if they scan the MF rather than the Wags Q first? I go to 3 different stores, and as much as I try, they always demand the Wags coupons first before they will scan anything – right down to the newest cashier! I asked once why they needed the Wags Q’s first and all they told me was “the walgreens coupons are meant to be first.” Clearly this is just how they’re trained, but I’d like to know what exactly happens so I can minimize it’s effect on my own bottom line.
For me whenever I use the Wags Q first I get beeps on my MQ. I never cut out the wags Qs. I just wait till the end and then open up the flyer or the monthly coupon book at the end. They don’t need to collect them.
@Mary, I just noticed the same thing at two Walgreens today. I always hand over my stack ‘o Q’s with the WQ’s on the bottom. Today the cashier seperated them all out and scanned the WQ’s first then the register beeped on two of my MQ’s. The cashier handed them back and said I couldn’t use them. (I didn’t push it because I was still getting a great deal.) The next store I went to I handed over all my MQ’s first. Once they all scanned I handed over my WQ’s and no problem. I think that’s how I will do it from now on.

Darn! Wish I would have checked Wags online before I gathered coupons and headed to my local store… looks like Maryland is not participating. (I checked my parents zipcode in Wisconsin and saw the short ad – looks like some GREAT deals!)

Waaahhhh! I went to check tonight and discovered that the Alameda (East SF Bay) stores are not participating. The cashier thought that the SoCal stores get the 4-day ad and the NorCal stores do not. He even tried to get one the 4-day ad coupons that I had printed out at home to work and the system told him it was not recognized so it isn’t even a situation where it is a “hidden” sale if your store did not get the ads.
They were also out of the spa socks and the Blistex lip balm. I did get six more packs of the $0.19 (after clearance price and coupon) Scotch Pop-up tape so it wasn’t a total wash. 😀
Does anyone know if the Noxzema razors that are specially marked bogo packages still print the RR?
A lot of people are saying even if your store isn’t participating some of the sales are still ringing up and some of the RR’s are still printing. Most of them have said to talk to a manager, and most will honor the prices, at the very least.
Luckily, my store is participating, and to my delight the Crest Outlast had a free travel size mouthwash and Glide floss sample, and I used my .50 coupon and got 3RR back, yipeee!!
