Some of you are finding the smaller sized Purina One Cat and Dog Food packs at your store priced at $1.99. These (like the Beneful packs from a couple of months ago) are small bags usually found hanging on an endcap or in the pet food isle.
If you find these you can get a good deal with the NEW coupon that came out yesterday. You have (2) choices depending on how coupon friendly your store is.
Option #1
Ask your cashier to price modify the item up a $.01 or to bring down the coupon to $1.99.
Buy
1 – Purina One Cat or Dog Food pack 6oz $1.99 (modified to $2)
Use
1 – $2/1 Purina ONE Dry Cat Food (or Dog Food), any size package – 06-27-10 SS
Total = FREE
Option #2
Buy
2 – Purina One Cat or Dog Food pack 6oz $1.99
Use
1 – $2/1 Purina ONE Dry Cat Food (or Dog Food), any size package – 06-27-10 SS
Total = $1.98 for both or $.99 each!
I find my stores more likely to price modify the item up (since they make an extra $.01).

I don’t use Purina One but I will definitely be buying bags with my coupons and donating them to the animal shelter. The local shelter has a bin for donations at my local grocery store. Just a thought! 🙂
i tried and the cashier wouldnt do either. she said any size didnt matter because the picture showed a bigger bag
Samantha – That’s ridiculous. If it says any bag, it means any. If they want to exclude a particular size it will say it right on there. Does she think they need to include a picture of every type of Purina one bag they make? Every Flavor available? I mean, seriously, who trains these people? I’m sorry that happened to you. (Can you hear my blood pressure going up?)
I didn’t get the coupon in my Smart Source in zip 32976. Do you have another zip that received it?

My Wags will not do any adjusting whatsoever for coupons. I’m only ever able to use one for over if an item is on sale with one of their coupons and I hand over the manufacturer coupon first i.e. mq for $1 with a wags coupon for the item at .99 and something to absorb the overage. I am waiting for the day when a cashier pays close enough attention and doesn’t allow that. My Wags is not coupon friendly. Anything questionable and it is disallowed even though legite.
Those are all on clearance at my store for $0.50!
Got two of these. Manager was called to adjust coupon to $1.99 after the clerk told me nothing would work to get the item!
These are priced 2/$2 at my store this week. They were 1.99 just last week. You can buy 2 and use the coupon for $2 off any size from sundays coupon insert to get them for free. I did this yesterday with no problem.
