REACH DEAL
Some stores have the Reach Toothbrushes at $4.99 some at $4.49. I wrote up the scenarios at the higher price which was what I found at my store. If your store has them for $4.49 you have an even better deal! However, it will mean you’ll have to adjust the scenarios I wrote up.
If you find that your store has them for $4.49 just throw in $1 worth of merchandise to cover the difference! You can buy the toothbrushes and the Listerine together, the Walgreens in ad coupon will take off $3 for each item!

The cashier at my Walgreens said I couldn’t use the $1 coupon with the B1G1 coupon on two reach toothbrushes. This is the first time I’ve not been able to do this. Does anyone know if this is true or should I complain to the store manager for a refund?
Walgreens does allow each store to have it’s own policy so you might want to ask. You are paying full price for the non free item so the register will allow it. So, it would not have beeped.
Reach toothbrushes are $5.49 at my store in Maryland!!! 🙁

I found some $1.00 off peelies on the Reach toothbrushes at a few of the stores I hit today. Went to 8 different stores in a 20 mile radius looking for neutrogena face soap… NONE!
The nivea bogo deal made up for it though
Listerine was also 6.99 at my store, and no peelie. But I go through restoring mouthwash like water cause I grind my teeth, so I still bought two!! 😀 Hopefully the rebate pans out…but even if not it’s a great deal.
I found some toothbrushes with @1.00 off peelies too! and the cashier was all nice about taking it off and scanning it for me without me asking her to, don’t I wish all the cashiers were this nice! cause my god half the time I get the cranky ones!
Christie, seriously I need you to come set my store straight. I just had the biggest disagreement on what I was told at the register – blew my mind. I didn’t even know how to respond. They would not let me buy more than one of any item (including the Dr Scholl’s inserts, which weren’t even a great deal, but hubby just needed some!) if it had an RR attached. They also would not let me use the RR that printed from my first transaction on my second transaction. Then, the cashier tried to say that I could not use a coupon on an item if the coupon + RR was more than the price of the item, but at least the asst mgr helped me on that one. Not to mention that Nivea was not BOGO, Listerine was 6.99, and they didn’t have anything Neutrogena below $5.99. I would complain to someone at Walgreens corporate / division, but I guess if each store can set their own policy, there’s not much I can do about it??? Any suggestions (other than shopping at a different Walgreens, which is my current plan)??
Katie – Yes, shopping a different store is certainly the way to go! Not allowing you to buy more than 1 of the Dr. Scholl’s to me is ridiculous! I can see limiting the FREE items but that?!!!! I would call corporate and complain about you not being able to use the RR you just got to buy something else. What if you only go to Walgreens once a week? What if you decide there was something you forgot and you go back to get it?
Here’s what I’d do if you are at that store. Do transaction #1 at one register, then take your RR and go do transaction #2 at photo or cosmetics. What are they going to do? Follow you around the store checking your RR? GRRRRR, I feel my blood pressure rising!
Katie, i had the same thing at one of the wags when i was on FL, i played the dumb, went to the car put my stuffs wait 2-3 minutes, and i was a new customer….they couldn’t do amything and prove that i received this RR few minutes ago…..:)i know a little stupid but then i got all the items i wanted….
I found the Neutrogena SPF 15 chapstick and used the $1 off coupon for any sunscreen item. Bought 3 with coupons and got the $10 RR!!! Hooray! $4.33 money maker!! It is not included in the 25% off though. Rings up at the $2.89 each.
Update! Here in Washington state the Nivea is ringing up B1G1 plus a $6 RR. SWEET DEAL! I used (2) $1.50 off Nivea products from the newest Safeway coupon books. So both were free + overage with coupons. We pay 8.6% tax here though…
Walgreens paid ME $4.88 to purchase the folllowing items
2 Listerne Whitening Rinse
2 Reach Toothbrushes
4 Nivea Active 3 body wash
3 Gillette Fusion Power Razors
1 Crest Pro-Health toothpaste
2 Butterfinger candy (fillers!)
Total savings was over $70 not including the $10 rebate for the mouth wash! I started with a $10 RR from Neutrogena! After my out of pocket was calculated, I have a profit of $4.88!

And I wonder if I can use the $2 off coupon for Neutrogena suncare found in the new Safeway coupon book on the Suncare Lip care. Has anyone tried it yet?
@ Shawna, yes I was. I did ask my cashier first though. She was very nice, and patient with me! Thank goodness, because I had 3 transactions!
re: suncare- I can’t see why not. Its a coupon for suncare, and the lip balm is part of the sun care line. Again, I would try and ask the cashier what he/she thought, and never be afraid to say no thanks! when a transaction isn’t going the way you thought it would…
I found some small Neutrogena coupon booklets near the cosmetics counter that have a $1 off any product on the back page. They were bascially hidden, so it might help to ask a friendly cashier!
The Gillette preview set is STILL ringing up for $9.89 and STILL producing the Register Reward! So if you didn’t get it last week, you can STILL get it for the same great price this week! 🙂 YAY! 🙂

Anyone else having trouble finding the Neutrogena soaps and lip balm? I went to four stores yesterday and they were all wiped out! I live in Iowa and am wondering when they generally receive new inventory. Are there certain days that Wags restocks?
Soaps have been out in my stores since the 1st week of the month. Lip balm was on a display at the cosmetics register. It took me awhile to find it there – but I sure was happy when I did! The SPF 15 lip balm is $2.99 at my store and the $1.50 coupon from the May Safeway booklet works great with it.
I headed out to 2 Wags stores this afternoon but there’s no luck for soaps & lip balms. I guess at least bar soaps have been selling out for a while. I really hope they do re-stock them before this deal expire.
