I found the Bengay, but does Walgreens accept the coupon if it is for more than the product??? I had a problem with the one time before and they wouldn’t accept the coupon, so I didn’t even try.

Using a coupon for more than the item’s value can be a real YMMV. It depends on the cashier, mine will usually do it for me. Of course, if you are only buying THAT item, you need to add something to your order to absorb the overage!

In my area, they don’t seem to allow it, neither do the managers. I wonder if I should just use the $3/1 to avoid any unnecessary conflict….

Hi Kathryn, Yes like Margaret said it’s a real YMMV. What you could do is for example one of my readers told me she bought 5 of the Bengay. So $24.95, she used (4) $5 coupons and (1) $3 coupon. That will go through with no beeps. So she paid $1.95 for 5 of them or $.39 each! I often do this if I’m going to a cashier that I know is not coupon friendly or it’s a store I don’t know.

Thanks for the advice! I have noticed that the Walgreens near me don’t like to accept a coupon if it beeps! I’ll have to try that….
