Hi Christie:

I have a Wags clearance question. At my closest Wags they had the Wags brand Sheer sun lotion on clearance for $2.24. There was an IP on their website for $2 off, so I was able to get two for just .24.
I went to three other Walgreens stores looking for this same deal. At one store, the same item was regular price at $8.99, one didn’t have the item at all and the other had it on clearance for $6.94!

Is the clearance pricing at the individual store’s discretion? I was so confused.

Thanks very much.

Hi there, Yes, that’s it exactly. One store may just not have sold an item well, so they’ll clearance that item. Where another store may be selling well and it will be regular price. So you are going to see variations store to store. That’s why I always say the clearance items I post are a heads up. So if you see something you like you can look to see if it’s on clearance at your store. That being said, we often do see the same items on clearance across the country. Like right now Pantene is on clearance in most stores or a a couple of weeks ago it was Mrs. Smith pies. And, great job on the sunscreen!

Thanks for your response. I think I’ll go back to the store that had them for $6.94 and use my $2 coupon before it expires on Saturday. $4.94 still isn’t bad for sun lotion.

At least now I won’t keep looking for that $2.24 deal.

Have a great weekend!
