Dove is Definitely Rolling at Walgreens!

by Christie Bisbee on March 28, 2010

UPDATE! DOVE IS DEFINITELY ROLLING!

NO LONGER ROLLING AS OF 3/30!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just an update to this earlier post… Dove is Rolling!

For those of you who are new to Wags shopping what this means is that the $4 RR you get from buying Dove can be used to buy another Dove & it will generate another $4 RR. This is not the norm!

Also, be on the lookout for $1.50/1 Dove peelies. I found them on shampoo, conditioner and even hairspray and they worked on all of them!

Quick post as I head out for some more fun filled shopping! I don’t know if this is a fluke because I have only done it once but Dove rolled for me!

It was actually my error, I handed over a $4 Dove RR when I intended to give a $4 Colgate from last week.  As I was cursing myself a $4 Dove RR popped out.  So, don’t run out and start rolling these things just yet.  I’ll visit some more stores and try again! Hey I’ll sacrifice a $4 RR if it doesn’t work out to confirm.

Be back later! Hoping it wasn’t a fluke! 🙂

Christie, just an FYI, Dulcolax has a hang tag for free bottled water upto $2.00. It doesn’t specify brand or anything. But, when it rings up, it rings up at $2 no matter how much your bottled water actually costs. So, I bought bottled water for $1.49, but the coupon took $2 off. So I had $.51 overage. You can look for even less expensive bottled water. I think some of the pure american 1L bottles are on mega saver for $.99

Yes please do! This is a tight week for my family but we can use this shampoo and i’m out of RR, so if I can roll 1 over and over, i’ll be so happy. My Wags cashiers like me a lot so they won’t look down on me if I do it. Please let me know if it works again!

Maria – That’s AWESOME! My registers prompted the cashier to enter an amount so I wasn’t as lucky but I was still thrilled!

Valerie – I was afraid to post about the bottled water coupon until I tried it myself. I was afraid it might say “item not found” because it was coded very much like Dulcolax. Now that we know it works too I’m off to post!

Thanks Maria & Valerie for the tips!

Sara, roll away! And don’t forget the conditioner. 🙂

Dear Christi,

What follows would not have happened without you. You get full credit for rolling a RR to benefit many who desperately need help. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time and shared my couponing experience with someone who was interested. You should take this as a great personal success story. I may follow your blog, but you are the visionary who provides simplicity and reason for others to get involved – Thank you.

Yesterday I rolled the Dove Shampoo Coupon at several WAGS, and then last evening I was telling an assistant manager at WAGS about the coupon rolling, what that meant, and what I do with so many of my purchases. When I told him that I was donating the shampoo and conditioner to the local women’s shelter and to the homeless shelter near my home, he said, “Let me know how many you need and I will take care of you personally. I told him not to play with my mind, and he said, “A sale is a sale”. My wife and I left the Wags store with more than 60 Dove Shampoo and Conditioners, just over half of his inventory. We rolled the first coupon more than 60 times, faster than his register could print the RR’s. That was first. He said that I could come back in a couple of days if the RR is still rolling and he would fill my cart again after their weekly delivery truck brings new products.

Wow! What a wonderful thing you did! And kudos to that Asst. manager for also having a big heart. I am so glad that something I posted could help you in some tiny way to help so many. GREAT JOB!
