I thought it was just a local store deal but I have been buying candles and Febreeze refills for the past two weeks FOR pennies. Glad to see that other stores have the same clearance items.
Mine too……..they were putting up the Glade candles on clearance last Friday. Grabbed a few then, but from what I saw they had LOTS to put up, so hopefully some left.
Hi Christie,
My brain may be confusing itself and/or I am a bit gun shy after my noxzema coupon got shot down…but…in the scenarios where you are buying the two candles how can you use
-$1.50/2 Glade Scented Oil Candle Products in conjunction with a $2/2 coupon? Would it not be one or the other coupon since you are purchasing only 2 candles, because it is off of 2 products? I see that to get the oop so low that is using both coupons, so I know it is not one or the other here.
I don’t understand how you are working both scenarios using both coupons?
Again, maybe I am looking at it wrong, but I am not clear on how that works. 🙂
Thanks
@ Belle – one is a manufacturer’s coupon, and the one in red is a wags coupon. As per their policy, you may stack 1 MQ and 1 Wags Q per item. HTH
*brain fog clears* Thank You… I think I stopped reading part of the sentence. OOPs…Reading comprehension is important..lol
And I forgot they had a coupon on Glade out.
That helps tremendously! Now it all makes sense. 🙂
No Glade clearance in N. MN, but if anyone still has the $3/1 Neutrogena cosmetics MQ from All You (expires TODAY), there were a bunch of Neutrogena eyeshadow combos on clearance for $4.49 & are B1G1 50% off. There was some type of foundation on clearance for $6.99 (down from 13.99) also that would work.
Tried to get free/MM Reach toothbrushes using the B1G1 free Total Care using this scenario from Common Sense with Money:
Buy two Reach Total Care toothbrushes $3.99 each
Use one B1G1 Reach Toothbrush 10/10/2010 RP Insert (exp 4/30/2011)
Use $1/1 Reach Toothbrush
PLUS use $2/1 Reach in-ad coupon (will deduct $4)
Get two FREE toothbrushes plus $1.01 in overage
Got the Total Care Whitening Toothbrush because that was what was listed on the B1G1 MQ which worked, but the in-ad coupon beeped and she looked at it and agreed that it should work but she would only manually take off $2 instead of $4 because the one was already free. Of course when she had to manually put it in she did it as a Manufacturers Coupon so I no longer had enough fillers and could not us a $3RR I had. Irritating, made my trip $5 more than it should have been.
I work for wags so Im lucky to find the clearance deals before the shelf was cleared. My boss also marked down like 50 of the Big Patriot Candles (they smell so so good) from like 7.99 to 1.24!! :). I was happy. Also the glade was clearanced at my store too, but clearance doesnt last long at Wags anymore, its usually gone the next day.
I found the glass candle holders (in the upper right of the picture) at my Walgreens for .94! And, each package had a $2/2 glade product coupon inside, so I basically bought all 14 that my store had, and used both the manufacturer’s coupons and the Wags coupon to get huge overage!
Didn’t have the Glade stuff on-sale in my store. 🙁 I live in Northern MN though, so things always seem to be different.
I’m going to have to check out my wags! A friend just bought a new house and these would be perfect for a gift basket!
Wow, congrats for everyone who got them on clearance deal. I stopped by my store tonight but they were not on clearance for jar candles. So I didn’t buy any, but bought 4 Edge shave gels for $4 after 2-B1G1 coupons and $1.99 Herbashine hair color after $3 coupon. Actually, I paid with 2-$2 RR(from Pull-ups), so got everything for $1 including tax. I’ll go back and pick up more shave gels for my hubby & one more Herbashine for me. 🙂
No clearance at my store in Austin, TX but I will keep my eyes peeled just in case 🙂
In IL, Glade has been on clearance for awhile. I got a bunch of the 2oz candles on clearance for $0.82, so free after the $2/2 coupon from the booklet! 🙂
our store doesn’t have the glade clearanced yet! but I found an awesome deal on Oral B Vitality (rechargeable) tooth brush on clearance!!! It was on sale for 13.99!! I used the 10.00 off oral b vitality coupon from P&G 10-26 and you know the rest of the story! lol.. Hope every one else can catch a deal like that!! Although I do hope the glade goes on clearance soon to!!! :0)
I went to 3 Wags.
Store #1 2- 2oz. candles for $.69, and got them free, with no overage with the October Wags Book Q.
Store #2- Nothing
Store #2- 6 scented oil candles @ $.94. I tried to use the $1.50 MQ’s & the Wags Book Q. The Wags Book Q wouldn’t scan. So, I tried to have them just use the Wags Book Q, so I’d at least get them free and it still wouldn’t work. The manager said it must not work because the items were on clearance. Bologna! I can’t help but be frustrated that they won’t override coupons when they don’t work, but I don’t have much luck with Wags overriding coupons. For the most part, if it beeps, I’m out of luck despite my pleas for them to honor what the coupons say.
