Here’s another ad you should keep in your coupon binder. This appeared in my 08-15-10 Smart Source insert right under the Zegerid OTC coupon. You can clearly see that this ad is encouraging you to use a $3 Coupon from this insert on Zegerid for the Register Reward deal currently at Walgreens.
I know some of you have been told that you won’t get a Register Reward if you use a coupon. We all know that’s not right and clearly based on this ad (and many others) not the way it’s intended to be. If you run into this situation at your store having copies of actual Walgreens ads can be very handy!

so what do you say when the cashier says: “well… you’ll get register reward for THIS product… (the one featured in the ad that we use as an example) but not that one.” (The one I’m trying to buy that is featured in the flyer but withou a “use a coupon, get register rewards” scenario?
Deshaine – I don’t think it’s a selective thing like it’s just good on this product.
I think the point is to say – if I can’t get a RR when I use a coupon why is Walgreens advertising that I can in print? And if you have various of these ads in your binder you can say “like here, here, here and here”. Truth in advertising laws are pretty powerful things so using their own ads to prove your point should make for a pretty good argument. 🙂
