I haven’t posted pictures of a shop in forever, but here’s what I ended up with from my shopping on Thursday and Friday. The total value of all this was $107.26.Β I started with $51 in Register Rewards, I spent $2.01 out of pocket and ended up with $71.24 in Register Rewards. So it’s like I made $18.23 buying all this! π
I did most of it in one transaction. I had some nice $4 Schick coupons sent to me by a fabulous reader π that enabled me to have a $1 money maker on each of those.
I didn’t buy all of the deals, but just what I could use or giveaway. There were a few things my store didn’t have so I had to wing it a little bit. I decided to return the Ponds towelettes so they are not included here. I paid for them separately in cash (which is what I often do when I am not sure something is going to work).
If you’d like to show us your shop please feel free to link directly to your shop on your blog or photo hosting site (like flickr or photobucket) on the bottom of the page.Β For those of you who are interested, click below to see the break down…

You did good. I can’t believe how you can break things down like that. I’m just exhausted after the shopping (and apparently not organized enough).
Mine is here: http://608savings.blogspot.com/2011/11/walgreens-3-day-thanksgiving-shopping.html
*highfive*
Awsome job. I did very well also. I did 4 transactions…..paid 8.47 OOP, left with 13.50 in RR’s, and 4 Redbox coupons. Question….on the receipts…how do you figure out the total value of the merchandise?
Thank you,
Adam
Well, really the value is even higher because I am just using the price this week, which is really a sale price. So normally this stuff would probably be about 20% higher at least.
Thank you. Have a great week.
Adam, if you want to get the retail, I do this because I want to know from top to bottom, look at the bottom of your receipt, you will see WAG ADVERTISED SAVINGS: that is the difference between the retail (regular shelf price) and the sale price. I just add that in to my total, it will only show as a collective amount not individually. But it helps me to know what the total retail was before sale price. HTH
Do you know if these rewards are the same for all states, I know here in Oregon there have been some variences?
I add up what i spent $8.44. Then I add up The bottom where it says savings $196.49. Then i add up my Register rewards I have left. $19. Do not know if that helps.
My trip was also great. I spent $30.29 out of pocket for $134.46 worth of merchandise and left with $4 of RR’s!
Oh, and meant to say – it took 8 transactions and the clerk was soooooo patient and very helpful!
That helps Julie. Thank you. Have a great night.
dear wild for wags just wondering !hen you are posting the deals for tomorrow at wall greens really loved last weeks iv been checking like every 5min thanks!
I normally put up the Super Deals on Saturday morning and the scenarios on Saturday afternoons. With the holiday I’m a little behind! So I’ll be putting up the best deals tomorrow morning and working on the scenarios for a little later.
But I do have the RR deals and the rest of the Wags ad posted already. π
this year I stayed home with my family on Black Friday/Thanksgiving. So I didn’t go to shop. I don’t want couponing taking over my life, BUT Now, how do I get over my guilt trip?
WOW!! You did amazing!!
I have a 24hr walgreens and started my weekend adventure Wednesday night/Thursday morning, NO ONE but the after bar folks were in there, I had free reign of the store, and my favorite clerk was waiting for me ad in hand when I walked in! That first trip I spent $50 for $250 worth of items, and left with 6 dollars in rewards, I kept rolling that same $6 the next three days and ended up with an additional $120 worth of product with only the tax to pay! Best Black Friday EVER!
just curious, but how did you get all of that stuff for only $2.00? i always have to pay tax so i would have had to play at least $20.00 in tax for all of it in addition to the two dollars… so i was curious
I never include tax because in my breakdowns because it’s not helpful to anyone who doesn’t live in my town.
Tax varies in every state, county, township, city, etc. some states don’t even have sales tax, while others have incredibly high sales tax rates.
So, that’s the one part everyone has to figure out for themselves depending on where they live and their local taxes.
And in addition . . . in some places you have to pay tax on the pre-coupon total and in other places only on the cash total.
While I totally understand why Christie does not include tax in her breakdowns, I always include it when I am calculating my purchases. I live in a state that does charge tax to your pre-coupon total and it really can add up. There are times where I will not do a moneymaking deal because the tax is too much for me. That being said, even after calulating my taxes I paid on $178.72 worth of merchandise, I made $7.04 becuase of the great moneymakers this weekend. It is possible to still have moneymaking deals after paying tax, just maybe not as many.
I had an awesome shopping trip too!! I went two different times and got $449.66 worth of product, spent $87.73 out of pocket, and ended up with $84 RR. I had used some RR’s that I had left over from last week but can’t remember exactly how many, I guess about $25. I was so excited about these trips and knew I needed to use some of them so I went and bought pillow pets for all my grandchildren! and they still had a few of the freebies left and I had coupons so I picked up a few more items and now have $92 in RR! Thanks so much Wild for Wags!! I was able to do all this with your help in setting up the first transactions.

…no itunes cards?!!
Nope, no Itunes cards. I am uncool. π
lol, I accidently happened upon the wine rr deal! AWESOME!!!
$6.50 for wine gb $5 rr! Hope there are more of those coming down the road, I only found it at ~8pm last night (been out of couponing for a little bit) so,only did 3 deals.
We went on Thursday morning once with my daughter before she went to work an then took my husband back to help me lift the water. We did real good an best of all had fun. Took the RR’s back yesterday an got about $60 dollars in merchandise for about $2.75. So much fun. Thank you Christie for sharing your knowledge.
I am wondering how you didn’t pay for the price of the wine OOP. I know the RRs say you cant use them on alcohol. I paid for my wine separately because of that. So I am wondering if it would’ve been possible.
Nancy – well, I know that my transaction was possible because I did it.
I had 20 items and 19 slots spoken for. So no RR needed to attach to the wine.
Well darn! Now I know that it will been fine to do if that deal happens to come up again!
