Here’s my shopping trip from earlier today. I’ve had a bit of a cold so I finally was able to make it back to Walgreens. I am always one to take advantage of cheap, free or money making razors – so I was pretty excited about the Bic deal going on this week. I also grabbed the super cheap Extra Gum, the super cheap Crest for kids and a nice deal on Prego – which I needed anyway.
My total was $32.22 after Walgreens coupons but before manufacturer’s coupons so I could get the $5 in Jingle Cash for next week. In this scenario my total was $18.12 (before the $18 in RR I used to pay) and I got back $14 in Register Rewards and points – so $4.12 for everything + got back $5 in Jingle Cash to spend next week! So that’s like 29¢ per item NOT including the Jingle Cash.
Note: Like I mentioned I actually used (4) Register Rewards totaling $18 to pay for this transaction – so my out of pocket cost was really 12¢ but I’m not including that in the breakdown below. The Bic Comfort Twin razors make for GREAT fillers!

Wow, I really bought a lot of stuff this week! I did so many different transactions that it would honestly be too much to list every transaction. That Friends & Family discount really made for GREAT deals! I’ll be going back tomorrow for some more of the money making Melatonin too.
For all this loot, I spent $.41 out of pocket before tax, used $15.98 in Register Rewards and ended up with $23 in Register Rewards and bought $100+ in merchandise. I also had a $5/$25 to use that I got at a brand new store that just opened so that helped. So a $6.61 Money Maker, plus these transactions helped me reach the threshold for the $20 Olay MIR! I got lots of stuff I really needed (including make up, packing tape, 10 pairs of socks and pretzel M&Ms… ok maybe no one needs pretzel M&Ms).

So I made $1 in RR, subtract the $.44 I spent and I basically was paid $.56 to buy all of this before taxes. And remember MQ are in Blue, Red are store coupons and don’t count in your total.

After my crazy clearance Cottonelle deal this week it’s just way to hard to detail every transaction, there were just too many of them! I will say that if I had not used any Register Rewards to pay (which I did) I would have paid $43.75 for all this and received $30.50 in Register Rewards. So basically all this cost me $13.25!
I didn’t pay anything like $43.75 out of pocket maybe more like $10. The Cottonelle clearance was such a surprise it just threw all my scenarios out the window. So although I usually don’t spend that much out of pocket I was happy to do it for 84 rolls of toilet paper! Overall I saved about 82%. You can read about my crazy Cottonelle deal HERE.
