I’m happy to report that baby Oliver is here! Our sweet little boy arrived on 1/11/16, weighing 7lbs 12oz and measuring 20 inches long. Oliver and I are doing well and we were able to finally come home. We are so happy! He is the sweetest little miracle and we feel incredibly blessed.
I will say my birth experience was nothing like I expected or quite honestly, had hoped for. It ended up being an emergency C-section, all very sudden, scary and frenzied. I can honestly say I have never been so scared in my life. When I finally heard my baby cry it was the most beautiful sound I have ever heard and I have never felt more grateful. What really matters is that we are both healthy and happy and home. Thank you God!
I’d like to take a minute to thank Kerry, Karen, Kelley, Richard and Harriett for all of their help this past week. I can’t thank them enough for keeping the deals coming and the blogs running – business as usual. And thank goodness hospitals now have wi-fi. Although I think the nurses may have all thought I was a little nuts – “You can do my vitals while I type right? Special K bars are 31¢!”.
Finally, I’d like to thank all of you for being a part of the Wild for Wags and Wild for CVS family and ask you to join me in welcoming our newest and youngest member – Oliver James.
