For my 22 month old, when she is sick, she likes when I give her a warm bath in Johnson’s soothing vapor baby wash, the after the bath put a little baby vics on her chest, bundle her up in a warm blanket with some warm milk and hold her until she falls a sleep.

Julie S January 21, 2012 at 3:15 pm

Each of my 3 sons likes to be pampered in different ways. So for my oldest it’s creating a quiet place without the younger two, and giving him a cool washcloth on his forehead and running my fingers through his hair. The middle is way more independant and tells me what he wants me to get him or do for him(I may as well give him a bell:), and the baby (4yrs) gets rocked by mama, and I give him his spongebob soup(Campbells), and I buy special medicine cups with flovored sugar around the rim to help the medicine go down. (It’s the one thing I spurge on since I can not find coupons for them). The little one despises the thermometer, so this would come in handy. I never broke down to get this cool one being offered.

I have a little thermometer that you stick in the ear and push the button. My kids, especially my 2 year old, hates it so much we have to hold her down everytime we take her temp. Would love to win this one. Behind the ear would be so much better then in the ear (and make mom and dad feel better about not having to hold her down!). Our “feel better remedey” is a nice cool bubble bath then allow the sick one to curl up in my bed with their favorite movie.

Jen January 21, 2012 at 3:37 pm

Lots of cuddling!

Dana G. January 21, 2012 at 3:39 pm

I would love to have this for my grandsons. Seems whenever they visit Nana, they get sick! My kids are grown now, one’s 25 and the other will be 21 tomorrow. To this day they both love to lay their heads on my lap and have me run my fingers through their hair. Of course, they’re both girls. I like that even when I’m not sick! Thanks Christie.

I am using a regular thermometer on my oldest right now, while she’s fighting a virus with fever, and JUST LAST night thought about one of these kinds! How much easier it would be to check their temperatures during the night….

Some of our feel better remedies are hot chocolate, rocking in my glider, just sitting outside, breathing in fresh air while we rest, reading…..

I’m a new mommy and have found that the best feel better remedy for my son is sitting in a steamy bathroom with the shower running to be immediately followed by fuzzy pajamas and night time baby lotion. Then my son and I sit next to the humidifier while I rock him with a fresh bottle of mommy milk, and I read him to him from yours and other couponing websites about all the awesome deals we’re going to save money on! No joke! My husband thinks I’m nuts until he looks at our growing stockpile! 🙂 Thanks Christie!

When I have a sore throat or cough – I eat 5 lemons with salt. The acid from the lemons works wonders!

Angela graves January 21, 2012 at 4:16 pm

Wow! Perfect timing for this giveaway. For the past 2 weeks I’ve had 3 of my 4 family members sick with something. They’ve had strep and stomach bugs and have all shared both viruses. I was thinking our mouth thermometer is not a good idea because they are sharing the germs (even though I clean it). My favorite get well remedy is homemade chicken noodle soup and cuddling in bed while watching movies and taking naps throughout the day. I also love my disinfectant stockpile during these times. You will often find me chasing my young kids around the house with disinfectants in both hands.(: I also follow you on facebook.

My “feel good” remedy when the kids have the cooties is a nice bath, put on favorite comfy pj’s , then in bed with a comfy blanket. from then on I spoil them rotten with whatever they want.

I don’t have any remedies yet as I am pregnant with my first so you can see why I need one of these! Whenever my husband or I start to feel sick we take oregano oil with olive leaf (in gel cap form) 3 x daily with meals. It really helps!

I have a 6 yr old girl and a 2 month old boy. Oh- and the biggest baby is my husband…

My remedy:
Warm bath, hot tea with honey, maybe a little ice cream and then snuggle up on the couch with mommy to fall asleep watching TV quietly.

Honestly, its mommy’s love that does the trick 😉

Tarah January 21, 2012 at 11:24 pm

Doesn’t matter how old you get Mommy can fix anything as well as Wifey fixing everything. Something to be said about the basics. Rest, warm soup, some camomile tea, and vicks vapo rub to help breathe.

i discovered “tummy medicine” when i was pregnant with my oldest. lemon candy!!! we use soft starburst for the little ones and hard candy for the grown ups. i’m not sure why it works but something about sour lemon will sooth an upset tummy instantly. it’s also helpful for a child that will not eat the extra calories in the candy and the sugar help to releive the sick sluggles too!!

My feel good remedy is a warm bath, (or sponge bath), some warm pajamas and cuddle time with mommy where we just relax and watch a movie with plenty of liquids to drink.

Chicken Noodle soup. Lots of water & rest. Put Vicks on my daughters feet then cover with socks. Rub vicks on my chest and under the nose. Enjoy a steamy shower with daughter sitting in her bouncer (if she’s congested), run humidifier overnight let infant daugher co-sleep since the humidifier interferes with the monitor’s frequency.

Kari January 23, 2012 at 2:30 am

To help with congestion and quiet a cough rubbing Vicks on the bottom of feet and then putting socks on works EXCELLENT !! I have done it for my children and just tried it for myself recently and I couldn’t believe how well it worked! One of our favorite “feel better” remedies is crushed ice in a cup with a spoon. Also for the little kids we rub Vicks vapor on their feet and put socks on them at night. It is alot less messy then other methods. We also load up on cough drops and headache meds! Thanks for the chance to win, I have a cousin having twins and I would LOVE to pass the good cheer on to them (they are going to need it) LOL!!!!!!

We have a pajama & movie day with popsicles and warm honey & lemon water for sore throats. Of course, mommy’s undivided attention & lots of snuggling always seems to help the most! Thanks for the chance to win!

Tucked in on the couch in fuzzy jammies with favorite fuzzy blanket. Lots of juice, cuddles, and a blessing from daddy.

Tucked in on the couch in fuzzy jammies with favorite fuzzy blanket. They like the chamomile and peppermint rice pack warmed up around their neck. Lots of orange juice, movies, cuddles, and a blessing from daddy.

Definitely lounge around in pj’s watching movies and eating homemade juice pops.
