#9 Giveaway – iGo Green

Each year Vampire Power, which is the energy drawn from devices that are plugged in but are not in use, wastes 10 billion dollars in the U.S. alone. iGo would like to help fathers everywhere go green and save green with their line of iGo Green electronics, which reduces Vampire Power by up to 85 percent.

Plus, iGo products also use an intelligent tip technology, which allows one charger to power/charge hundreds of brands and thousands of models of mobile electronic devices by using interchangeable tips. By using one charger for multiple products, it significantly minimizes electronic waste.

I tried the Power Smart Wall which is both a way to save power and a surge protector. You can plug your devices into any of the 2-active green outlets (that rotate for all sizes of plugs) to begin reducing wasted energy. And it has 2 outlets that act like standard outlets. It was perfect for our entertainment center since there are so many items there that don’t get used all day. It’s small and unobtrusive and is no larger than your standard surge protector. I’m looking forward to saving some power and money on my electric bill too!
