Couponing for Community week is here! Couponing for Community is an effort by couponers all over America to use the power of coupons to make an impact. The goal is to donate 10,000 items this week.
Participation is simple, just donate one or more items to any charity or organization you choose! Then go to Couponing for Community on Facebook and add your donation. If you aren’t sure where to donate, May 14 is National Stamp Out Hunger day, so giving can be as easy as leaving a bag of non-perishable items by your mailbox.
As a way to thank those of you joining me in participating in this noble effort. I’d like to do something a little special!
The Giveaway
I recently picked up a great deal from one of my favorite daily deal sites Tippr. They offer local and national deals (and if you are in Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston or Austin you’ll definitely want to check out their local deals HERE!) I’m going to share that deal with (2) lucky Couponing for Community participants!
Two (2) lucky Couponing for Community participants will each get a $20 voucher to Chocolate.com. Again, all you have to do to be a Couponing for Community participant is commit to donate one (1) item this week! Super easy.
How To Enter
1) Leave a comment on this post letting me know where you plan to donate this week.
2) Like Wild for Wags on Facebook & leave a comment on this post letting me know.

Thanks to everyone who is participating this week, even one single item can make a difference! 🙂

Hi! I will be participating in the “Stamp out Hunger” campaign on May 14. I also liked you on facebook and liked Couponing for Community and let them know you sent me there. Thanks 🙂
I’m going to be leaving mine by the mailbox. I know you normally post Walgreens deals, but since this week is the Stamp out hunger campaign. Meijer has Meijer Naturals small can of tomato sauce for .45 cents each. If you buy 5 a $3 catalina prints out good for $3 off any Meijer Organics or Naturals product. This is a .75 money maker plus it’s a great way to get extra food to donate.
I was a former Soldiers Angels member, I sent care packages every month to an assigned soldier along with several letters/cards a month. They are always in need of things until a soldier is adopted, so with all the freebies and great deals I get, I plan on packing up a box and sending it out!
I also get your daily emails
I will be donating items for a double family (2 moms, 7 kids) that were burned out of their home last week and lost a 2 year old son in that fire. So sad.
Like you on Facebook already, wish I could “love” you though!

I’m also watching my friends 4yr old and 8yr old Saturday, I’ll be taking them to the store to let them use coupons to buy things to put out for the mailman to pick up (our mail comes late)
OK…so this one couldn’t come at a better time! I am planning on giving away over half of my stockpile this week.
My local church is planning a trip to Honduras in June and they are putting together packets for families in need there.
So…50 tubes of toothpaste, 38 body washes, 40 bottles of vitamins, 30+ boxes of cold medicine, 20 tubes of lip gloss, 20 packages of pads, 10 boxes of tampons and all my travel size goodies …. at least 100 items.
I get to clean my stockpile up and needy families get GREAT items!
I hope this helps them get to 10,000 faster!
I also follow both Wild for Wags and Couponing for for Community on Facebook

I will donate at my grocery store since it is convenient and it will go to the local food shelf.
I am actually about to go through my stockpile while the girls are napping and get some donation tubs ready to take tomorrow! I would love to send things to people where the flooding is happening, but I have no idea where to take those items near me. So I will be donating my extras to some local places that are always accepting donations. Nursing homes, The SAAFE house, The Pregnancy Care Center and a local ministry called The Hospitality House that houses “the other victims” of crime–the incarcerated’s families, when they come to visit, oftentimes for those on death row. Plan on posting a pic on CFC’s Facebook page and my blog later today!
