The Hitachi LifeStudio Mobile Plus External hard drive is available in 3 sizes, 250 GB, 300 GB, and 500 GB. Plus, each external hard drive includes an auto-sync 4 GB USB key, making your data even more portable. The external hard drive is powered via two USB cords, so you don’t have to find an outlet to power it – you just plug it into your computer, and it’s up and running.

This unique design is all about portability and sleek, modern looks. The LifeStudio Mobile Plus is actually three parts: a portable hard disc drive, a dock, and a thumb drive. The hard disc itself is light weight and easily slips into your pocket. The footprint of the entire set up is very small and looks great. It comes with it’s own software very similar to Apple’s cover flow, creating an infinity wall of graphics. It’s a really unique filing system for your graphics, making your pictures easier to find. It is capable of powering off your USB port. Downside for some might be it’s lack of Firewire. But, it’s hard to argue with the practicality of such a cool looking, multi storage unit! I’ve been meaning to get a hard drive, just for extra back up and this was easy to use.
