Grateful Giveaways #5 Jakks Pacific

by Christie Bisbee on April 25, 2011

What mom wouldn’t love peace on Mother’s Day? JAKKS Pacific is offering you just that in the form of an entertainment basket for all ages filled with JAKKS Pacific toys:

  • Timmy Time Small Plush — Features either Timmy, Mittens the Kitten, Ruffy the Puppy and Yabba the Duckling. These cuties are huggable and playable!
  • Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Figures — Realistic-looking 4″ Battle Packs Figure Assortment ‘with secret reveal’! Each figure includes a unique LED Accessory to shine a light onto the figure to reveal its inner secret and unlock additional features on the Queen Anne’s Revenge Deluxe Ship play set (sold separately).
  • Disney Pixar Cars 2 Piston Cup Patio Set — Now kids can feel like grown-ups with their very own kid-sized Disney Pixar Cars 2 Piston Cup Patio Set! Featuring washable plastic tabletop with cool in-laid graphics that won’t scratch, fade or peel! The patio set comes with a table, umbrella and two folding patio chairs.

This is a really neat set of fun toys perfect your your little one. My Timmy Small Plush is solidly constructed and an excellent likeness!  The Patio set is very easy to put together and requires no tools so it was easy to put together.  Construction here is also solid with vibrant colors and lots of cool Pixar graphics.  The patio chairs are built for little people though….not more than 65 lbs.

The Pirates of the Caribbean figures are both very well detailed and dynamically posed.  The smaller figure comes with a light-up ring….which may prove more popular than the Jack Sparrow figure itself!  Both figures are perfect for play or display.  This giveaway set is sure to make some little person (or people) happy!

My tip for keeping my kids entertained is my sensory tub. It’s a clear tub with either oats, beans, rice, sand, etc. in it as well as cups, spoons, and odds and ends to play with. They usually keep it pretty much in the tub, but I put a plastic table cloth under it to catch any spills. They could play with that for hours!

MANDATORY ENTRY: My tip for scoring an hour or two (if I’m lucky) of ‘FREE’ time while my daughter is off and playing safely is inviting a friend of her’s over and have them play in the playroom upstairs where I can still hear & see them playing occassionaly. If a friend is not available to play with, I can usually get my daughter to sit down for an hour and a half to watch a G rated movie. ‘IF’ I’m lucky!!!

My favorite tip for keeping my kids entertained is building blanket forts in our living room.

My son likes to play in the big dirt pile in our yard. It is messy, but it gives me a break.

Julie April 29, 2011 at 8:29 pm

I keep my boys busy by giving them a stack of old magazines and they can either cut pics out or circle things they like. Keeps them busy!

Quiet time is reading time for the kids on their own.

We “build” tents around the house. This keeps my 3 kids occupied for hours.
