THE REVIEW

Eversave and Ruth’s Brownie Kitchen sent me the Walnut Cake Style Brownies to try. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t super excited to review this item!  They arrived in a cute pink rectangular box with a handle.  Opening the box, I peeled back the brown tissue paper and, boom, that moist, cakey brownie smell filled the room! Ruth’s Brownie Kitchen says that “freshness and quality are a priority.”  This certainly seems the case as all of the brownies arrived intact….no dry crumblies here!

At 3”x3”, these brownies are generously portioned and come 6 to a box, which is a lot of brownie.  Since, that is more than we could possibly eat at home, I decided to share them with friends.  I easily cut them into fours making a total of 24 brownies!  No wonder Ruth’s Brownie Kitchen touts these as the “biggest, richest, tastiest anywhere!”  Each brownie was able to hold it’s own weight and not fall apart in my hand, more testament to the freshness of these brownies.  And each brownie weighs about a whopping 5 oz.. They were delicious!

Both Classic Cake-Style and Extra Fudgy Brownies are each available in a dozen different flavors of nuts, fruits, and other goodies!  Ruth’s also credits their use of Valrhona chocolate for why their brownies are so distinctive.  After eating the entire box (I had help!), I have to agree with their assessment.  Ruth’s Brownie Kitchen makes a homey desert and wraps it an Uptown package.  If you are looking for a gift or just a special treat for you, Ruth’s brownies will hit the spot!
