Grateful Giveaways – Faber-Castell #5

by Christie Bisbee on April 11, 2011

Faber-Castell has been in business since 1761! It was 250 years ago that Faber-Castell was founded in Germany as a pencil manufacturer. Whether the graduate in your life will be continuing their education or entering the workforce, Faber-Castell makes a writing implement for them. Check out all the design choices at Faber-Castell.com

For centuries, a fine pen has been used to make a distinctive statement.  Sometimes called “jewelry for men,” my hubby used to sell high quality pens.  He says that these elegant pens by Faber-Castell are rollerballs….the technology used before disposable ballpoints took over.  When you use a rollerball pen, you instantly can tell the difference!  The writing experience is so smooth, you don’t feel like you’re dragging the pen across the paper.  My hubby says it’s because rollerballs use water based ink and have better bearings in the pen head. All I know is they look and feel great!

One of the pens is from Faber-Castell’s LOOM series featuring a chromed brass metal body in combination with a high glossy black pen cap with spring-load metal clip.  The other pen is from Faber-Castell’s Ambition Series featuring a coconut wood barrel and chrome plated polished ends.  Both pens would make any owner proud!

One lucky reader will win 2 Faber-Castell pens with a value of more than $100!!

Entry is simple! You just need to answer the question below by leaving a comment on this site! You can even gain up to 3 bonus entries for doing each additional item listed (just make sure that you leave one entry for each one — up to a total of 4 comments). As a reminder, comments left on Facebook, Twitter or other posts will not be included.

REQUIRED ENTRY:

Leave a comment telling me what type of pen you like best……ball point, fountain, roller ball, medium point, fine point, or does it matter etc…..?

BONUS ENTRIES:

1. Follow Wild for Wags through a reader or the daily e-mail digest HERE.

2. Follow Wild for Wags on Twitter HERE or Facebook HERE.

3. Follow Faber-Castell on Facebook HERE.

This giveaway will remain open until 11:59 p.m. EST, Friday, April 15th. Any comments left after this cut-off will not be counted. The winner will be selected randomly and will be notified via email within 48 hours after the close of the contest.

This giveaway is part of the Grateful Giveaways Event being hosted by myself and 11 other bloggers. You can increase your chances of winning this prize (as well as all of the others on this site), by visiting each of them and entering the same way as you did here. You have plenty of time to get to all of them, since the contest will be open for five full days.

If you haven’t already done so, you might want to print out this spreadsheet to help guide you through all of the entries on all of the blogs.

As one final reminder, you will want to check out the terms of the giveaway by visiting the Grateful Giveaways:Celebrating the Class of 2011 . Just click on the TERMS tab at the top of the page. (Note that by entering this contest, you agree that you have read the terms and are eligible to enter this contest).

I received the same prize package as the winner to facilitate my review. My opinions of these products are 100% my own.

Well…as far as style of pen…I haven’t a clue as I have never had a “real”/grown up pen! Not even in college. Many moons ago I liked the idea of a fountain pen and tried that out..but, messy. I do have a quirk with ink and and point…black/fine for business…and, blue/medium for personal use. ??? 🙂
