Candy Corn Monthly Register Reward Deal

by Christie Bisbee on August 4, 2011

We have a monthly Register Reward deal on Brach’s Candy corn. There is a coupon for $.50/1 Brach’s Products in the July issue of All You and other in the 06-12-11 SS that exclude holiday.

To be sure that it could be used on the candy corn, I went on over to the Brach’s website. There they have Candy Corn listed as just “Mellowcremes”.

The candy listed under the category for “holiday” were the ones in the shapes of pumpkins and such, not just the regular candy corn, so I’m thinking that this coupon is ok to use on this deal.

Get $1 RR wyb 2 Brach Candy Corn 12 oz 2/$3 (thru 8/27)
-.50/1 Brach’s Product, any (Excl holiday) – 06-12-11 SS x8/7
-.50/1 Brach’s Product, any (Excl Holiday) – All You, July 2011 x10/1
= $.50 EACH

Where are you finding this in your store? All I can find is the 5 oz. size on sale for $0.99. Thanks!

Walgreens doesn’t sell the “regular” candy corn you’re speaking of, they sell the halloween candy corn. And Halloween is a holiday.

On the Brach’s website the Halloween Candy corn is in the shape of little pumpkins. Which should be available in Walgreens as we approach Halloween. You can go to the Brach’s website to see what they have listed as Halloween but it wasn’t the regular candy corn.

I’m sorry, but I can’t believe you are advising people to improperly use a coupon. The only candy corn Walgreens sells is what they carry with the rest of their holiday candy, & it gets marked down the day after Halloween. The coupon is meant for the bags of candy you can find year round.

It’s August and there is no Halloween candy in my stores yet. What my store has on sale their website refers to as Mellowcremes. Maybe your store sells something different.

I would never intentionally encourage someone to use a coupon that I thought was for a wrong product.

You’re awfully fast with the accusations there! You’d have to be pretty tone deaf to not detect some hesitancy in her post. Big difference between intentionally misleading folks and making a honest mistake.

Oh, and the (H) on the sign you posted stands for Halloween.

And just the other day my son asked me what the word “smug” meant. If only you’d posted your comment sooner!

I’m certainly not accusing of anything, but I’m just curious if maybe the year-round packages of candy corn are different from the Halloween packages of candy corn?

The link posted mentions 11oz and 18.5 oz sizes…

Thanks Andy – I’m trying to figure it out too, which is why (like I said in my post) I went to the Brach’s website. Maybe I’ll try looking in some other stores to see what I find.

The year round bags look like regular brachs candy! Halloween bags are orange! Walgreens only sells halloween bags! And there is halloween candy in your store.
