Money Making John Frieda Hair Color

by Christie Bisbee on April 3, 2011

There is a Register Reward deal on John Frieda Precision Hair color that will go all the way till 7/30! That is one LONG Register Reward deal.  The price until 4/30 is $11.99.

Get a $2 RR WYB John Frieda Precision Hair Color $11.99

There are a (2) coupons that I know of for this. One is a coupon right on the display that you can grab for $2/1 John Frieda Precision Foam Hair color that would make this $7.99 after the Register Reward and the coupon.

The other coupon is in very limited supply. Stores have received a limited number (about 20) of TRY ME FREE coupons for this product.  Ask at the Beauty counter and if you are lucky enough to get one…

BUY
1 – John Frieda Precision Hair Color $11.99
-Try Me FREE John Frieda Coupon (-$11.99)
= FREE, Get back $2 RR
= $2 Money Maker!

Like I said these are limited.  And remember, you can get more bees with honey than with vinegar. 😉 Not everyone will get one but it sure can’t hurt to ask if you are at the store anyway!

(Thanks so much Maria for your help!)

My beauty consultant gave me a free coupon a few weeks ago! She did say they had only a limited amount! I felt honored that she was nice enough to give me one!! 😉

I read something about this on HCW, but didn’t understand what the person was talking about. I went last night and they had them displayed on tv trays and a card table, but no coupons:( They were slow, so the B.A. was relieving the front end cashier. will have to check on this later this week!

I actually got an email from JF a few weeks ago and they’re going to mail me a “Try Me Free” Q. I can’t wait to get it!

Hi,
I did try the tape deal. You are right, it would not ring up the second coupon. I had high hopes for this deal since I use it in my classroom A LOT!!! Would this work to buy one at a time with the Wags coupon? (When the pencils are cheap you don’t have to buy 8 just to get the cheap price so wouldn’t this hold true for the tape.)
Buy one roll, use Wags coupon making it $1.50, use one coupon for $1 off and it would be .50 ?? Thanks for your input.

I stopped by Walgreens this morning. It was too early and the cashier was the only person inside the store. The manager and another employee both called in sick. One person looking after the entire store seemed like a security risk to me…

Anyway, I waited until she finished checking out three other customers. She went to cosmetics counter and looked around. BINGO! There was a stack of a dozen of these coupons. I only took two. I did have to pay the sales tax, but no RR printed. STILL AN EXCELLENT DEAL!

THANKS!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

By the way, the cashier and I also saw a box behind the cosmetics counter that was printed “DO NOT DISTRIBUTE BEFORE APRIL 10 – FREE L’OREAL SAMPLES – WRINKLE REPAIR – 1-OUNCE” !!!??? She didn’t open it, since it was marked “do not open” but I’m gueesing they’re going to be handing out those samples on Sunday? 🙂

Worked like a charm! There was ONE left at the beauty counter, I just had to hunt around a little! And my RR printed just fine as well. The cashier was surprised at how good of a coupon that was!

I don’t know what to do now… I have another 15 of those coupons in my hand right now.

When I was at Walgreens to retuns an itme, I noticed the cosmetics counter still had plenty of those coupons. I asked the same lady if I could have a couple more. She just gave me the whole stack. She said nobody had asked for the coupons in the last few days. (other than myself)

Guess I’ll have to hand them out to friends/family.

This is probably the best coupon I’ve ever seen. Free hair color(woth $12), plus a free $2 RR when you check out….

P.S. I was surprised that John Frieda is a Japanese company(KAO), but the product is made in Germany.

For those who got the free coupons:

If you check out with just the hair color, the cashier will take off the whole amount and you pay only the tax.

However, if you throw in a pack of 99-cent gum, you pay for the gum, but you also get back $2 RR for the hair color. SWEET DEAL!

I realize this is an old thread, but I finally used up all the FREE coupons today.

For some strange reason, nobody seems to be asking for these coupons at my local Walgreens. (and they dont’ seem to be doing a good job handing out the coupons)

I was at Walgreens last night and asked the cosmetic counter lady. To my surprise, she reached under cash register and there were still 18 coupons left. I asked for only a couple more, but she just handed me tha whole stack. 🙂 (who can turn down free stuff, right?)

I used 5 coupons and paid just the sale tax.(a ridiculous 10.25 percent sales tax in my city…. yes I said 10.25 percent 🙁 )

What was even more surprising was that the $2 was still printing out…. thansk to the cashier who insisted “only one coupon per transaction, sir” She did 5 transactions and each one printed a $2 RR…. $10 RR in total, for doing almost nothing.

I gave the rest of the coupons to my family…

Now I’m kind of wondering… is this stuff any good? There must be a reasons that they couldn’t get rid of the free coupons, right? (two other Walgreens in my area also had several free coupons left as of earlier this week)
