FREE NyQuil Vanilla Swirl!

by Christie Bisbee on September 15, 2010

Great News, it’s time to stock up on NyQuil! The NyQuil Vanilla Swirl is producing the $5 Register Reward! These were priced at $5.99 at my store (not $5 each like the other NyQuil 10oz products) but after the $1.50 MQ, the coupon in the Sept. Coupon Book and the $5 Register Reward they come out to be FREE!

The ad says “excludes NyQuil Swirl but that is referring to the $5 price and NOT the register reward. (Goes to show why you should never assume anything!) 😉 Here’s the deal…

Buy
2 – NyQuil Vanilla Swirl, 10oz $5.99 EACH
Total = $11.98
Use
2 – $1.50/1 Vicks NyQuil, Any – 08-29-10 PG
1 – $2/1 Vicks NyQuil Vanilla Swirl, Sept. Coupon Book (Takes off $4)
Total = $4.98, Get Back $5 Register Reward
= FREE (And you Make $.02) 😉

(Thanks Vanessa for the tip!)

do u need to buy 2 nyquils to get the rr?

Hi Amanda – Yes you need to buy (2) Nyquil to get the RR. If you wanted to you could buy the Swirl and one of the participating Dayquils or other Nyquils, just the $2 in the Sept. book will only apply for the Swirl.

Emily – Did you have any Vicks coupons in your P&G? There are 3 on the page one for Dayquil, one for Nyquil and one for any Vicks.

Combined mine with the dulcolax deal
Worked great!
Have any of your cashiers been rounding down your $8 q’s
To $6.99?

can I use my $1/1 any vicks product on this deal?

Reply

Christie September 15, 2010 at 4:50 pm

Hi Avy – Yes you can use the $1/1 vicks on this since it’s a vicks product and states as such clearly on the front. 🙂

Diana – There is a different Nyquil/Dayquil deal next but it’s not as good. As far as I know the $5 doesn’t run beyond this week but you know how it is with Walgreens.

Diana September 15, 2010 at 3:51 pm

Hi,
Is this $5 RR valid for next week too?
I’m thinking about buying some coupons, but they will not get here until next week.
Thank you so much.
btw, I love your site. Always find the best deal here first.

Worked for me! I bought the last 2 at my store and the Dulcolax. I’m VERY happy right now.

I tried this today and the ad reads “* excludes cherry/vanilla swirl” for the 2/$10. Walgreens on 15th & Post in OK was selling it for $6.49 instead of $5.

I tried it today and it did not work. It would not take the P&G q so I used $3 in RR I had. Have to try another store.

Do you know if this RR is rolling?
Also can you use the Nyquil for P&G rebate?
Thanks

our store had them for 6.99 before. not free at all but they count for the $50 P and G rebate and i got the $5 back, and we get sick a lot so it’s worth it

Reply

Christie September 17, 2010 at 4:54 pm

Miranda – Yep $1 each is still good!

They were 6.49 at my store in Tampa, so I bought them anyways since it’s still a good deal and I was pleasantly surprised to see there was no tax charged! So I got both for 5.98 and then the $5 RR back. Which I rolled to get the Wags toilet paper that I only had to pay .35 tax OOP. Thanks Christie!
