If your stores are anything like mine Neutrogena soap and lip balm are getting pretty hard to come by! Tonight there were only 2 bars of soap left at my store and no lip balm so my fabulous cashier suggested that I buy this hand cream as my third item. I tried this one earlier this week. RR did not print, but did ring up 25% off??? I kept lotions anyway, as I have enough of everything else, love this hand cream and used the last of my 3-$1.50 coupons, so still was a good deal. You win some, you lose some!!
You have to buy exactly this one. Look for the magic words “NEW Fragrance” or it won’t work. Oh, the joys of shopping at Walgreens.

Thanks so much! I have to share a terrible story about what happened to my mom last night. I have been teaching her how to do this, so being new to the register game, I am glad she didn’t get mad, she just laughed. Anyway, my mom bought two lip balms and one face wash and used some manf. qs. This was either her second or third transaction with the same cashier. She seemed to be indifferent, but turned nasty when the 10 reward printed. She told my mother that she was not going to give her the reward because she purchased .74 cent items. My mother was bewildered and responded that, no, the lip balm was 2.99. A line started to form, so she withheld her RR and called a manager. Meanwhile she is telling customers that my mom is being crazy with the neutrogena deal. The manager looked over my moms receipt and was so confused about the whole thing. He finally gave her the RR with no apology. I told her I would be so mad and call customer service. But she said she found it funny and laughed that she is not even paying attention to the items she is ringing up. Also, she was very understanding that maybe a different manager warned her about the .74 trial size and maybe she thought she was protecting her job. I felt so bad that happened to her. I just can’t believe it.
She should call and do the survey about the store at the bottom of her receipt! That’s outrageous. My parents had a similar situation with the Gillette Fusion last year. The cashier refused to give them the RR and kept telling them , “oh it didn’t print” when they could see it right there. Some people!
Yesterday I used a .50 off Scotch Mounting Pads coupon printed from the Scotch website. I found them on clearance for only .57 so .07 after the Q. Well, they beeped. The cashier had to call the manager over and she told her to push them through, but the manager said no more internet coupons?!? The manager made me feel like a criminal for using printable Qs. I hate when they beep and get the attention of the manager.

I went to Walgreens today and found the Skintimate shaving gels for women we got for free a couple of weeks or months ago? on sale 2/$1.00 I saw these at walmart for $3.99 so I thought maybe if you guys needed some shaving it’s a good price. also I found socks are on clearance 10 pairs for $3.19.

I have also been told at a Wags in St Louis that they do not take internet coupons. Went back and forth and came home and called corp. they walked me thru the Wags website where it does talk about internet coupons, clicking on the link takes you to coupons.com customer service said they take internet coupons from this site. So I guess if it does not come from coupons.com maybe they could say something. I had never had a problem till that day with any internet coupons. Funny thing was it was a coupon.com coupon but the manager was saying she had a email that said they do not take any. Called the store and talked to a different manager and they said I could come back and use the coupon. Just another example on how the policy varies from store to store and employee to employee. Just makes you adore your favorite stores and employees even more.

There’s no excuse for the cashier being rude to your mom. However, at least in Chicago, it says “limit 1” or something for all RR deals. It is *extremely* rare that the same store will let you do multiple transactions in a row to get repeat RR. If I want to do the deal multiple times, I have to go to multiple Walgreens or come back on a different day at a different time (so not the same cashier).
Also, if the RR doesn’t print, you can contact catalina. However, if it didn’t print twice, you’d be out of luck, as they enforce the “Limit 1”. So technically, the cashier would have been correct not to give the third RR to your mom… I’m willing to push my luck, but when they say “no” I just say “oh, ok” in such an instance.

I got lucky and went to the “bad” part of town and found over 20 of the bar soaps in stock!! 🙂 Apparently they are not aware of RR’s on that side, which is okay with me!! LOL
I have a question, I was at walgreens yesterday. I wanted to get the Neutragena deal. They had a bunch of the spf 15 chapstick on the top shelve tucked away hard to see. I went to the cashier and asked if a RR would print for them. She scanned the item and said nope, already checked myself. She then said we would have put a sticker advertising it if it was a participating item. My question is, can she tell by just scanning one of the chapsticks? And should I just try to buy three and hope for the best? What is your best advise???
