UPDATE – FREE Cold Medicine 4/11!

by Christie Bisbee on April 10, 2010

UPDATE – DO NOT USE THIS COUPON FOR THIS DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have heard some reports about this coupon and the Register Reward being coded the same way which could cause some problems.  (When you use the coupon the register thinks you are using the RR so another one doesn’t print).  My suggestion… hold off on doing this one tomorrow till we are sure it works.  So get your coupons together and sit tight!

FREE Cold Medicine if you have the right coupon in your paper tomorrow! I know that I will NOT have this coupon in my paper, however many of you will.  And My Coupon Hunter does have them up already and available to purchase. So if you have it here’s the deal…

Buy ANY (2) of the following products $4.99 each
Tylenol Sinus 20 or 24ct or Liquid 4 or 8oz
Sudafed 16-36ct or Nasal Mist .5oz or Liquid, 4oz
Benadryl 18-24ct or 10pk or Liquid, 4oz
Children’s Tylenol Plus, Benadryl or Sudafed PE, 4oz
Total = $9.98
-$5/2 Zyrtec, Benadryl, Visine, Sudafed PE, Tylenol Sinus family of products 04-11-10 RP

Total = $4.98, Get Back $5 RR
= FREE!
(And you make an extra $.02 for your trouble!)

I bought 10 of these off of Ebay so I REALLY hope that it works! I would love to stock up on some medicine and also love to not have to call Catalina for every transaction.

That makes 2 of us! 🙂 I’m lucky in that my Walgreens is great about when the RR don’t print. They keep a stash of the RR that people leave behind for those kinds of situations. So the RR may not be from the same item but they’ll get me a RR for the same amount. I think it’s much better than having to call the Catalina company.

You are lucky! I’m going to try a new Walgreens this week because the other Walgreens that I have been to have no idea how the RR program works.

Also, I saw a post on Common Sense with Money that Walmart has Benadryl itch sticks for 2.28 each so one of these coupons would get 2 free itch sticks. So if the Catalinas won’t print then our coupons will still get us other free stuff 😉

Good to know! So if it doesn’t work out my coupons won’t go to waste! I’ll just stock up on itch sticks and with summer coming up I could probably use them. Thanks!

So am I understanding that if this works, you can’t do a 2nd transaction with another $5Q plus the $5 RR you just got from trans #1?
You can’t use a RR to pay for another of the same item with that same RR? Thanks from a newbie! 🙂

Exactly. If you buy an item and it prints a RR you don’t want to buy another one of the same with that RR. You can but another RR won’t print. Check out the FAQ for some more info on the wacky world of RR. And WELCOME! 🙂

Christie,

Thanks for this post. BTW, I like how you put the total cost in RED at the bottom of each coupon matchup. It’s really easy to read and I can easily skim through the post to see what I’m interested in, without having to do the math to figure out if it’s a good price. It makes things SO easy!!!

Oh good! I’m glad that helped. That price in red thing was a new thing I’ve been trying.
