Print NOW Before Extreme Couponing Airs

by Christie Bisbee on September 28, 2011

I’d strongly suggest going through and printing any coupons you may want now.

  • We are approaching the end of the month, so it’s your last chance.
  • That TLC Extreme Couponing Show starts up again tonight (I’m cringing as I type). After that show airs coupons tend to run out of prints rather quickly.

Don’t wait till you need the coupon to print it because by then it may be gone. (We’ve all been there – done that!) Happy Couponing. 🙂

I never noticed that, thanks for the heads up…..I too cringe at the thought of that show airing AGAIN (who watches it?)

The shelf-clearer commercial for this season makes me throw up in my mouth a little.

Well apparently she has her own blog now and facebook page (did I just make you throw up some more?!) – so you can certainly let her know that! LOL.

I was unaware of using coupons before the show. However, now that I use coupons I am aware of fellow couponers. I do not clear shelves and buy only a couple of items each week instead of 100 of something. I’m grateful for the show because it has exposed me to coupons but sometimes I feel that the show is unrealistic and many people see it and want to clear shelves. I’ve seen coupon policies change in the past year and think its cause of the show.

I’m cringing too just thinking about it. I’m dreading my weekend trip to Walgreens because I bet it’ll be cleaned out from the new batch of “couponers”. Ugh.

This show is a curse. But I won’t go off on a rant. LOL
Thanks for the reminder.

It’s sad that I walk into my local Walgreens on Sunday afternoon and everything is gone. I asked the cosmetic counter why are the shelves already cleared and she told me that there are two ladies that pretty much stand at the door and wait for them to open and then they come in and buy everything. This show has totally changed the way we coupon. I’ve been couponing for two years now and it has never been this bad. I must admit the show is interesting but the thing is is that it’s EXTREME!! Meaning these people have nothing else to do but coupon. They neglect everything else around them. Next TLC will make a show called “How Extreme Couponing changed my life.” I’m divorced!!

My Walgreens is the same way. I live in a small town and we only have 2 of them (big change from where I lived 6 months ago where there seemed to be one on every block!) I went in last Sunday hoping to pick up a razor for my husband with one of the nice high value Quattro coupons and they were completely wiped out, at both stores, both shelf and back room. All the Remmington razors were gone as well. Both stores told me people come in as soon as they open and bought them all. Ugh.

I know what you mean Candice, I too walk in to my Walgreens to find empty shelves. Even when I get there at 8AM there are shortages! One of the people around my area also writes a blog and buys lots of kids/baby stuff. She doesn’t even have kids, but she clears the shelf! I have two and I don’t get any!!! :\

Same here In San Antonio Tx. Went into the first walgreens on sunday morning at 10am!! The shelfs were BARE!! Two ladies came in together and completly wiped out the shelfs! Me and my friend were so mad! It took us the whole day to track down some razors… so sad! The good thing is most other walgreens are starting to tell us that there is a limit RR deals to 1 per person! has anyone else heard of that?

I think I saw the promo the other day–the one where the lady proudly proclaims that she is a shelf-clearer and that if people are mad about it, they need to get there before her! BLEH! If she was really as smart as she thinks she is, she would just call her store and order the items ahead of time!…but alas…she is not. 🙂

The show is terrible – like watching a train wreck. I watch it but feel like I’m doing something dirty while I do! The whole concept of shelf clearing is so tacky and gross. Does someone really need 50 tubes of toothpaste at once? Easy answer to that – of course not! I hope that this show runs its course soon…

Before this show came out I couponed like my mother and my grandmother, clipping one or two coupons from the newspaper every Sunday. Also I had no clue you could combine MQ and store coupons and I didn’t know you could print from online. The show also turned me on to sites like this one, all of which I am thankfull for. This show is very EXTREME, and I am not a shelf clearer and quite franly I think it is very wasteful. Food items expire eventually and how much mustard does one family need?!?! I too find my self searching for products, but thankfully I live in SoFLA and their are WAGS everywhere.

I am with you Tiffany, my mom was a couponer, but she did a few coupons here and there. I remember my mom always said I couldn’t have something until it was on sale and she had a coupon for it! but once watching extreme couponing I found out more tips on saving even more money and I am glad I got exposed to that, but it make me sick of how they “need” 100 of something. I have a modest stock pile, but by no means do I need 100 of something, and when I feel like my stockpile is getting out of control, I donate to my sisters or to a local charity… I do continue to watch the show, only to try to pick up new tips that maybe I didn’t think about. But I do not like the shelf clearers!!!!
